Feelings of caring, affection for family or partners can indeed be the main factor in encouraging someone to recover from gambling addiction and they will easily have the awareness that the people they care about really want them to return to normal.
But unfortunately, most of the gambling addicts we meet no longer care about anything except gambling activities and quite few of them have lost many valuable things, such as the destruction of their families or bankruptcy which has resulted in difficulties in building household.
From various cases like this it should be able to provide deterrent effect or the idea of being able to make various efforts so that it doesn't happen to them.

Isn't it very sad if we see gambler who neglects his family, does not support his children and wife because the money he has is only used for gambling.
We know that it was his decision and we know that what he used was the money he earned from his work, but as man when we see women and children abandoned, it is really sad and makes us feel emotional, but we can't much to help them.
That will make them realize that they have made a fatal mistake and must immediately correct it because many people are still waiting for him to come back and recover from his gambling addiction. If they realize this, they will not stop or give up on undergoing each therapy session because they know that the people around them still need them to come back. This is the important role of the family in making someone aware of their concern and affection for people who are addicted to gambling. You may still be able to find money, but that affection will last forever. Even though they may have hurt the feelings of those closest to them, but if there is still affection, they will definitely try to correct their mistakes.

They shouldn't abandon their families just because they want to gamble when in fact, they can do both well without any problems. They just have to learn about self-control so they don't experience any problems while gambling and also have self-control when gambling. They must be able to balance their lives well between their pleasures and those of their families so that everything can run well.

Using that support from your love ones will push your determination to quit away, though there's a certain level  of addiction where gambler really doing things unexpectedly,  but going back to that argument,  you can seek help and feel  that support to encourage yourself to keep improving,  each day that will pass by with your interest  to keep away  from your vices the support of you love one's will serve as your inspiration to keep pushing your way out.
If someone who is addicted to gambling sees that there are still many people who love him, especially his family or partner who want him to recover from his gambling addiction, he will slowly begin to understand that he must be able to recover from his gambling addiction. He will try hard to do everything well and with strong intentions and determination, he will not complain even though it might be painful for him. He will not give up before he succeeds in curing himself of his gambling addiction because he has seen the support from his family, which is given to him continuously so he doesn't want to let himself down. He can even get through every day well because of the support from his family and doesn't feel heavy in undergoing therapy to cure his gambling addiction.

Our actions and beliefs are shaped by our social environment as much as our physical surroundings. Consider this: non-gambling groups discuss varied, maybe useful issues, diverting thoughts from gambling. A gambling-prone group makes gambling an attractive possibility, not merely a topic of discourse. Your experience shows that our social settings often shape our choices. Can personal dedication withstand the allure of gambling? Complex interaction between individual resolve and collective influence. Personal dedication is important, but environmental cues, especially in addiction, shape behavior.

Yeah, we are social animals after all.

I think I read somewhere that you are very likely to end up in a similar financial situation to the average of the five people you surround yourself the most.

This makes sense, as that's what you would be talking about all day. Let's say they are great investors, they will be talking a lot about investing and you would be into that as well.

And if they are gamblers, you would end up in casinos with them, etc.
I won't disagree with that.
A long time ago before the pandemic hit, most of my co-workers were working to get cryptocurrencies, either in investing or through a different form to accumulate it like faucets, bounties, and trading. That's all we talk about the whole day and we never even touched the gambling industry in all our discussions.
Now that I am working at home I can only talk with my neighbors and most of the discussions are about sports and of course, glued to it is the gambling industry. We share predictions on who will win the game every day and about who has the highest probability to win this season and a lot of times it goes far at checking the odds and betting for it.
I have two friends who are hooked on sports betting and now we are three. Cheesy Well, it's actually cool because I don't think addiction can come from sports betting and it's better than playing casino games but I still play casino games from time to time.

Yes, I read somewhere that drug addicts can recover much faster and not go back to drugs if they had a healthy network of family and friends around them to support them.

The addiction itself is powerful, but the social bonds are even more powerful.

It's great to know there is hope for everyone.
this means the same as when a gambling addict has a solid family and a healthy environment free from gambling, of course a gambling addict will find it very easy to stop his gambling addiction because of very strong support as you said.

I will not give too far an example and I will give an example to myself when I come to a group of people who dont gamble, of course we will discuss other things that are more positive so that our minds will never think about gambling, but when I come here a group of people who like to gamble will definitely discuss gambling and in fact our minds will start to reappear about wanting to try gambling again.

well, maybe that a simple example that might be easier for us all to understand. even if someone has a high level of commitment, living in an environment where gamblers will definitely one day be tempted to gamble again because the minds of gambling addicts are very complicated and they always think about gambling and are easily tempted.

more and more I see that it comes to having a good support network
it makes a big difference to be able to have people you can trust and you can share personal information and vulnerabilities
in the end of the day we don't go through life alone.

The influence of the social environment is very strong, because it can change a person's thinking and behavior. But not for people who have strong beliefs and life principles, they will not be easily influenced and interpellated by the environment around them. Like fish in the sea, which although the fish live in salty waters, but the fish that live there do not become salty. But it's different when the fish is dead, yes if it's chili it will taste spicy, yes if you digaremin the fish will become salty. Which in a sense, when this belief is strong and the principles of life also continue to be carried out, then it is not impossible for you to get out of the problem of addiction to gambling, even though the environment around you is gambling addicts. And people who are still easily influenced by the outside environment, who if invited to get drunk, get drunk, who if invited to gamble, gamble. This illustrates that it means that the person does not have beliefs and principles of life, or that the person's beliefs and principles of life are dead.

what is the percentage of people with strong principles that will be affected less by their surroundings?
5%? 1%?
quite rare fishes these days

and even when we think about that, it will vary from situation to situation

because to avoid being affected you have to close your mind, and it's not a good idea to have a closed mind about things.
so, it may be good to have a close mind about trying heroin or heavy drugs, but not a good idea to have a close mind about learning to invest, practicing new activities like sports and movement, so forth and so on...

everything about addiction is bad , even in drugs , or liquor ? those are addiction that made
them worst person so once you are addicted also a worst person but that does not mean its the end of the world
because changes are available everytime it is  just the person involved are not doing whats best for them.
For me, being an addict is actually a very bad thing for life, your social life will definitely be ruined instantly when you become an addict, let alone a gambling addict

You won't be able to think soundly, you will definitely look for ways to continue earning money because you have to fulfill your addiction

The majority of gambling addicts will definitely experience changes in nature and character, they will see that the addiction they are experiencing is something that must be fulfilled so they will not be afraid to steal or extort. Having someone close to you who is an addict is a disaster, help them to change

But they only see the darkest place where there is no light because they cannot see that hope. Healing oneself from addiction to drugs or gambling can be done by each person with an addiction, but it depends on how strong his intention and determination is to want to change and try to cure his addiction. And having a healthy network of family and friends around them can help them gain the confidence to be able to cure their addiction. They will see support from family and friends. It will be an encouragement for those who are addicted so they can complete the healing process.

As every thing is updated through technology, gambling is also updated in the same way. The style of play is different in each case many may feel comfortable playing for fun it is right that gambling is not considered as a source of income as it is difficult to earn here and no one knows the exact news of winning. Quitting is better than becoming addicted basic needs cannot be met from gambling but in reality this momentary pleasure can sometimes appear as infatuation or addiction in anyone's life. And that's when the problem happened this is why it is important to think about your own problems and control everything so that there will be no risk of addiction.

Yeah, spot on. Being in control of your own actions is always the key to having a good life.

The moment that you lose control, either in gambling, or anything else really, your life starts to spiral down into something bad.

It's much better to stop it while it's still under control.

I totally agree
the thing is that this is sometimes easier said than done
when we are over strong emotions sometimes it's harder to think clearly
it varies from person to person and from situation to situation of course.
Easier said than done or not, that's still the right advice, we should not entertain any weakness, and the moment we say No with determination inclusive, that is the moment we start taking control of the situation. The issue with most people with emotion is that they continue to entertain it not minding the fact that emotion is a weakness, but the moment this mindset changes, they get to be healed of it. The same thing goes for those who are addicted to gambling, they can use that mindset to set themselves free. There is still sanity in them but it's about what they are feeling the most, whether it's their weakness or their strength.

If they feed their weakness more, this is when they will be controlled by the addiction and what anyone tells them as advice will always enter the deaf hear. But when they feed their strength, all by themselves, they will recognise their errors and will take their stand that enough is enough, and by this, they will get to overcome. I, however, agree with you that the will and effectiveness of this vary with people, yet we should not still entertain weakness or preach it to anyone, who knows if the hyping of it that we believe they can do it will be what will bring out the will power in them that will eventually let them overcome? So, let's continue to be positive and let everyone believe they can do it.

Gambling addiction is like a drug, sometimes can even be worst and causes problems to everyone around you. I think there are levels of additcion. Some people cannot function if they dont bet,the addition gets worst when you start borrowing money to gamble. So the saying is true dont gamble with the money you cannot afford to lose. When addition gets serious and like you said you lose a lot of money and you dont have a way out people due suicide and it is important that people go to therapy and try and cure themselfs once things go out of control.
Gambling is for everyone and also not for everyone because some individuals go extra mile for the money. Addiction is definitely what I pray against because there's always a room for huge losses in the system. Addicted gamblers are probably the worst of set of gamblers because they keep recording streak losses in the system and they never give, instead they developed this senseless hope of trying everything until they finally hits the jackpot, and when they eventually wins, they will do absolutely nothing with the profits other than re-betting again and aims for more bigger wins from the usual one.

Regulating the gambling industry is indeed very difficult its trend for online gambling has spread a lot. Although many organizations conduct monitoring they cannot be easily controlled and information on these is difficult to find online currently it is becoming easier through mobile, if you play gambling, no one will understand if you don't tell anyone. If law enforcement forces control they can take various steps to shut down the outside world which is not the case online. People who are addicted to gambling are usually harmful to their family and society and after selling their wealth they become destitute and do not know of such a big bad crime.
We have to be updated about the system if we're gamblers, know the in and outs of every team that we have urge to bet on and we should not get too comfortable gambling. Gambling is often beneficial for changes and not for major source of incomes. We gamble to earn small change to handle our wants and earn from our profession to handle our basic needs which is consider as the priorities of life. The worst thing that can happen to anyone is gambling addiction, many people don't usually survive this, it's better we just avoid the system than sink in to the system.
If we assume that the problem of the addition is not a problem of the caisnos, what would they think? What would you think that addiction is 100% the responsibility of the players themselves? Who would think that this is so, because in reality it is so, the casino is a means of fun and enjoyment, where it is assumed that the one who nets is an adult, and in fact in the rules of every casino it is known that the one who An adult must enter, he is not just any person, he cannot be a minor because it is known that he does not have the necessary maturity, but an adult does and he knows that these are his responsibility and that he can assume his consequences, therefore when we think in that the responsibility of addicts is for the casinos, it is the but of all the assumptions that a human being can say, first because a casino does not force anyone to place bets, nor does it force them to tell them what to do with large amounts, everything is for The person's own will, if a casino tells a person not to spend this or not to spend everything, the person may well tell them that this is not the casino's problem, they spend their money however they want.

So we know that people who need to be aware, we must know that things move like this, because yes, there are almost those who are committed to the well-being of people in assuming that anyone who wants to help them because the problem of addicts is very big, that Are there casinos that assume certain commitments to protect these players? Yes, there are, because they are almost very responsible, but in itself, they should not assume those responsibilities, because human beings are customary and some do not control well what they have, what they feel and that is why things go out of control. control, but it is not a problem of the casino and I think that by assuming those things that in some countries they mistakenly prohibit casinos, and that is something that is very bad, what they do is that people do not know this and when they do See, they will become crazier.

He was being innovative and showing initiative in figuring out how to continue to gamble. Give the guy some credit lol.  Maybe the guys back was against the wall and he owed a lot of money to a loan shark? Something was not reported as to what made this guy go as far as he did and try to harm his own family.

Desperate times they say calls for desperate measures. We've witnessed and heard of scenarios where people fake their own abductions and death in order to get out of certain situations. Generally, addiction in any area of life can equally lead to this same action and result, because I know people will use this to tag gambling as evil and devilish. I know of a young man who went to rob his parents' house heavily armed, just to support his drug addiction but was caught on the act by security agencies. That was when it occured to the parents of the young man that he should be take to rehab.

Some people have relatives who they know fully well is addicted to a particular habit but they choose to ignore the situation and refuse to do something about the situation, and when it leads to situations like this, they blame it on the victim when it's really not entirely his fault.

more and more I see that it comes to having a good support network
it makes a big difference to be able to have people you can trust and you can share personal information and vulnerabilities

It's not like that, but most of them are like that because they can't control themselves properly, so they gamble continuously because they have become addicted, and basically the human mind is easily tempted by advertisements on the internet, they are already interested, especially when they play, and what I know in my experience, beginners who gamble will be given a small win to attract them deeper, even though they know it's an attractant but it doesn't guarantee them to stop there, surely they will return to gambling and continue like that until they experience gambling addiction. In fact, when they have experienced addiction, it will make them turn into a more sensitive person, and in my opinion, relationships with lovers will also be affected, even with family, even if it will happen if they are severely addicted, I say this because according to the main topic "the madness of addicts", drug addicts or gambling are equally bad, both of these will harm themselves in terms of finance, health, and relationships. More or less, their friends will stay away because they don't want to get carried away with this dangerous addiction. And remember they need to be able to control themselves before gambling.

Not loving our self, will affect others not to love us. Gambling addiction, helps our loved ones to some extent, to stop loving us in future. They'll pretend to stick by us, but when the addiction doesn't allow us enough time to think properly, they, our loved ones, will find a way of adjusting their friendship with the addicted person. It's certain that most indoor gamblers expose themselves to gambling addiction, because their actions are hidden. And can hardly be traced by other people around them. It's normal to find a person we can trust, as gambling newbies, could be a gambler, and discuss our new habits, and how it's affecting our daily activities. Because most of them don't enjoy the money won, which is attributed to greed. They easily get glued to gambling and forget about other exercises like reading and working out. Which they used to practice before they became gamblers. Such a new development, opens an avenue for questions. Close family members can query him. Nothing can be hidden for so long. They can ask questions like, I hardly see you reading, like before, what is it that replaced your reading habit? The way we ask the question also determines if they'll tell us the truth or get cunning about their answer. Asking such people questions like "what's wrong with you?" may not be effective. Because within them, nothing is wrong. Hence, having a discussion session with them using questions to steal the truth from them can be very effective. The reason, which is bad, why people or friends avoid addicted gamblers is, they feel nothing can be done to help. Some only get concerned, if the addicted person now steals or borrows money from them without paying back a dime. If not for actions like that, the addicted person will be allowed to waste years in addiction, provided he uses his funds to finance his bad habit. Thereby leading the player to a more difficult situation, as getting depressed.

That's for sure, because people who are addicted to gambling will experience something bad, even with their common sense.  So it's natural that people stay away from those who are addicted because I also don't want to get carried away with things that are not good. I gamble, but I can say I'm not addicted because I can still limit gambling by not going crazy chasing victory. don't be like that, when someone gets a big win it could also be that they avoid their old friends and make new friends, this has become a natural law that must be experienced by many people. To enjoy the winning money of course they have to fight the greed that is in them,  but most of them when they get the winnings they can't fight the greed so they continue the game to pursue a bigger win than the winnings they have got. This often happens to all gamblers and becomes a difficult thing to avoid when getting a big win and that way they will only focus on gambling and ignore other things, even though there are also many important things they have to do besides gambling. But with their focus on gambling so they don't think about other things that are more important to them. Of course this is detrimental to themselves, because by focusing on gambling, a lot of time is lost in vain.

People's thoughts are different, some are frank about their gambling habits. By telling their family or friends, maybe the goal is that they can get advice or advice so that they don't fall deeper into gambling or what is called addiction. And on the other hand, there are those who hide their gambling habits, because they are embarrassed if their family and friends find out about their gambling habits, they know that what they do is something that has a negative point of view in society and that is a true fact, so it is natural that they hide their gambling habits, with gambling addiction can bring unreasonable things, maybe friends will avoid people who are addicted because they are afraid that they will borrow money forcibly, Because the addiction drive that makes them more aggressive can argue with anyone who prevents them from gambling, but for families like his they will not stay away from him because after all family is the most valuable treasure, because when a person addicted to gambling is in a bad position I think the family will still accept it by advising him slowly so that they realize what they are doing is wrong. Those who are severely addicted will commit evil acts that are beyond reason such as stealing,  robbing or other criminal acts. And this should be avoided even though it is difficult to avoid.

I am glad that we live in the era of the Internet where you can read everything about gambling habits and thus be prepared. And the more I learn about how addiction appears, the scarier it becomes to me, because internally I understand how close I sometimes was to gambling becoming a permanent and uncontrollable part of my life. Any big win at the beginning of the use of games and then it is very easy to become obsessed with gambling. But even knowing all this, I often recognize myself in the guys who give interviews about their addictions. Their stories are often similar to situations from my life.
From there, we can actually learn from what we read and watch so that we can avoid it and prevent it from happening to us, and we can actually use gambling as entertainment. We will not chase wins or recover losses because that will only make us addicted to gambling, especially if we do not reduce our gambling activities. Yes, it's scary if we imagine that we have a serious gambling addiction to the point that we don't recognize ourselves as having changed because of gambling. Winning is certainly fun, but we have to be able to control ourselves so we don't try to chase more wins because it will never be easy. We have to be patient that we are just ordinary gamblers who only want to use gambling as entertainment so that we don't have to experience gambling addiction.

Dont love yourself? Gambling is to blame!” Isnt that too simple? Chance doesnt deter people. Beyond that, its about limits and understanding. You say gambling addicts are hard to find. Okay, everyone has quirks. Knowing your limits and playing the game, not letting it play you. What about gambling replacing hobbies like reading or exercising? Could it be another project for you?

This assumption that cunning questions might fool bettors into stating the truth is absurd. No gambling, lets be honest. How you handle balance is key. Lost people - thats life, right? Lots of possibilities and hazards. Just another gaming element is betting. An enjoyable one!
