ah, the setting for bfgminer is actually

--set-device antminer:freq=0881

the default frequency is 0781 and you can try 0981

make sure you cool the device properly!

Hey, thanks for letting me know! Feedback on new features is really important Smiley

I think the problem is that you're missing 2 dashes at the beginning. At the command line OR in 'manual flags' in miner setting panel of MacMiner you should be able to put

--bmsc-freq 0881

Check this out:
https://bitcoin.co.th/how-to-use-antminer-u1/
I should be getting an antminer for testing in less than 24h so I'll make sure then!

I tried putting that command in the manual flags window of the FPGA/ASIC miner panel and I got: "--bmsc-freq: unrecognized option"

Great update! My antminer U1's are finally recognized as Ants in OSX under bfgminer for the first time and are running at full speed.

Is there a way to enable overclocking for the U1 devices? To do this I assume I need to run bfgminer from the Terminal, which I tried, however the "bmsc-freq XXXX" command is unrecognized.

Thanks again!

MacMiner 1.5.7 has a button to switch MobileMiner to http - please let me know how you get on!

This version has many usability improvements and updates bfgminer to a bleeding edge version from git with a pull from nwoolls not yet merged

Oops please try the download again!

Done, now the download works but even with this version I cannot add a networked miner to the API Output window.
The behavior is the same.

I think you should see your api key in the getting started bit?

The Getting Started button simply opens Safari at www.mobileminerapp.com/#gettingStarted.

maybe nwoolls can clarify where you can see that to check it against what's in an app?

It would be great.

You should be able to use Charles as well, if you happen to use Little Snitch I'd be interested whether it's asked to connect to nwoolls's server.

I don't use Little Snitch but I can install it.
However, I'll do all the tests (Little Snitch and HTTP traffic dump with Charles) in the next days, I've really no more time right now! Sad

If you want to connect without using HTTPS please download this version of 1.5.6b:
http://downloads.fabulouspanda.co.uk/MacMiner.app-1.5.6b-debug.zip

Thank you, got it!

I'll make it an option in the next version!

Good! Smiley

Where?
I cannot see any setting in MobileMiner for this (either).

It's not a MobileMiner setting, it's a setting that could/would be in MacMiner to disable HTTPS when communicating with MobileMiner so that you can see the data being sent across.

It may help for you guys to install Wireshark and then use that to see what is being sent to MobileMiner.

Could I use Charles as well?
BitBacco, tell me if you need I go this route.

You'd need to disable HTTPS for MobileMiner

When it displays the getting started bit you can see your email and key right?

Nope, I see only this:

Sorry about this but I changed a lot on the backend for 1.5.5 so that API Output would be more efficient and allow monitoring of more than one IP miner - I must have missed something - can you please download this version:
http://downloads.fabulouspanda.co.uk/MacMiner.app-1.5.6b.zip

Sure, no need to apologize! Smiley
However I have a problem with the URL, when I try to download the new version I get a "Forbidden - You don't have permission to access /MacMiner.app-1.5.6b.zip on this server." error.

When I was testing I found before the device started receiving data pulling down the MobileMiner display cause it to attempt refresh and if that failed show those settings

It doesn't work here:
- when I pull down the Machines view, MobileMiner displays the "Welcome" view that contains the "Getting Started", "Compatible Miner" and "Contact" web links;
- when I click on the gear icon in the upper right corner of the Machines view, MobileMiner displays the "Settings" view but it doesn't contain the e-mail address and API key fields.

Are you monitoring JUST the  network miner?

Yes, I have only the KnC networked miner in the API Output window.

Can a few people please verify that they're using 1.5.5 successfully please? One user has reported freezing right after starting bfgminer or asic window but I've tested and tested and I know at least one other internet presence is using it fine but I just want to make sure this isn't a widespread issue!

No freeze here with latest MacMiner's bfgminer on OS X 10.7 and 10.8.
However, since 1.5.5 the API Output window doesn't list my KnC networked miner anymore.
I tried to add it with both IP:PORT and FQDN:PORT but it doesn't get listed. I don't get any output in the bottom section of the window, either.

that's 1.5.6 but updated just now with a couple of bug fixes that could be relevant

Thanks for checking that out inevertell!

Anything in the FPGA/ASIC window or the CG window should show up automatically, if you're using the BFG window add

--api-listen and --api-allow W:0/0

to the manual flags

Or for a networked miner click add networked miner in api output window and enter an ip like 192.168.1.99:4028

Thanks for letting me know! Do you use the API Output window and/or MobileMiner with that btw?

There will soon be buttons added to miner settings panel for specific devices which will take care of the order they need to be added in - Unfortunately with all the recent device additions bfgminer gets a bit confused sometimes looking for miners!

Hey. Sorry about the long delayed response..

How do I get something to show in the API output window.. I downloaded mobile miner and put in my info in the app and in macminer .. Anything else I need to do?

MacMiner 1.5.6 has been built with nwoolls fixes and other bug fixes so this version should allow using Ice Fury miners in the bfgminer and FPGA/ASIC windows

Is there Built in Support for these new IceFurys (NFY)? I tried to get them to work, but they weren't recognized.

I have submitted fixes to bfgminer for this. They should be merged soon and then you can build the fixed copy from Git.

thanks nwoolls, I guess I'll build with your fixes!

What version of Mac OS X are you using? I think the cgminer window should work for you, but if you're running 10.9 you'd have to remove the Mac OS USB-Serial drivers which would let cgminer work but prevent bfgminer from working with anything

If using 10.9, to use cgminer with ASIC paste this in terminal and hit return:

sudo kextunload -b com.apple.driver.AppleUSBCDC  && sudo kextunload -b com.apple.driver.AppleUSBCDCACMData && sudo kextunload -b com.apple.driver.AppleUSBCDCACMControl && sudo kextunload /System/Library/Extensions/IOUSBFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleUSBFTDI.kext

When you restart the computer it will load them again so if you want to only use cgminer on a long term basis you should move and backup those referenced files

If earlier than 10.9 you should be fine to use cgminer window without modifying drivers!
