He used the money he won in gambling to open up new things that will make money in a stable way unlike how it goes with gambling and I think we should learn from that lesson.
Gambling is not going anywhere which means our winnings could also lose if we keep on betting either in sports or in casino games. It's better if we could somehow make something out of it and not just give it back to the casino.

You are right, this is something I myself have been practicing for a very long time since I became kind of serious with gambling, with every win, the good wins of course, I make sure to take something out, either the profit I made, or the initial amount of money I deposited on the casinos before I started gambling (which ever is bigger), this I've been practicing and it has saved me a lot of money.

You're right but we don't know when the network might be attacked and spammed again which can reach to that amount again as we've seen that happen before.

As you've said, we don't want to spend much money on fees. There are times that the bitcoin network is too clogged and we can't afford to pay even for $5 if our transaction and deposit is not that much.

That's why there are the altcoins that we can use if you prefer so. But this is a preference of all of us whichever we're comfortable in using when we gamble.
