No one wants to be last in any competition or lose in front of their fans.
I watched the game and the French players really tried to turn the score around and played the best they could.
Deschamps played with the best players at the moment (Griezmann is clearly not ready), did not rest any main players and it was obvious that the result was very important to him and that he did not want to lose the match.

Stunning? Hahaha I hope that's true, but sadly they have been very disappointing so far. 4 match without a win is a poor statistic for France, which is a shame as they don't seem intent on doing their best in this competition.

France have a lot of good players, they are a great team based on their quality but what happened to them in the last 4 match is the opposite. I don't know what makes it hard for them to win match when they have a number of their star players, they are too bad to entered a bet slip because maybe we won't win anything with them.

The pairing is a classic and hopefully will be entertaining. Germany is still waiting for their first victory, but I doubt it will happen against Italy tonight. I would take the ~1.8 bet for Germany doesn't win. In the same group are playing England vs Hungary, here i think England will finally get their first victory but the odds for that are fairly low (1.3)

Romania had lost the previous match 2-0 against Montenegro. Romania's performance against Montenegro was poor. They didn't get a chance to attack too much. Romania also lost to Bosnia. I don't believe that France has turned into a rubbish team. However it looks like they have a problem of motivation, tactics or do not function as well as a team as before. The tournament might not be important, but with bad results like we have seen so far it can become a precursor to a disastrous world cup tournament in a couple of months.

France currently comes with the status of defending champion of the UEFA Nations League but we never expected what happened to France at this time where in four matches they only won two draws and swallowed 2 defeats where France itself is currently ranked fourth standings with 2 points, the status of world champions on the shoulders of France made them crumble in the UEFA Nations League where they have not won at all, but we are not at all surprised by France's achievements especially since this is only a friendly tournament so it is natural that the national team France didn't go all out in this tournament even though they fielded a lot of starting players

Overall, it was a drab and unconvincing display by France, one that certainly did not warrant maximum points. Croatia played like a team oblivious to these statistics. They went toe-to-toe with France and registered their first-ever win against them. The defeat against France ended France’s Nations League campaign, with them remaining at the bottom of the group with two points after four games. Denmark are currently atop the standings with nine points, making it mathematically impossible for France to dethrone them with only two games to play. I think Didier Deschamps needs to solve this riddle if France are to defend their crown in the FIFA World Cup in Qatar later this year.

They're missing Pogba' and Kante's influence in the midfield. Their biggest weakness is Deschamp. Going with what I have seen so far, it is very unlikely that France will have a great outing at the 2022 World Cup. Every time Deschamps tries to get them to play in a more attacking way to suit Benzema and Mbappe they concede heaps, he might have to go back to safety-first to defend the World Cup title. They need to start focusing on teamwork rather than individuality.

After the end of a hard season in their football clubs, the French players are expected to give their best and win their games in the UEFA Nations League. Those footballers are playing 80 matches per season. They are tired. I'm surprised that Didie Deschamps didn't include more young players in the national team for the Nations League. Players like Benzema, Mbappe and Griezmann are not machines. They get tired.
Even Luca Modric was complaining about the exhausting schedule of the footballers. UEFA should stop pleasing the bookies, by forcing the national teams to play more games, when the best footballers need a break.

If this performance does not improve, my fear is that they will be eliminated from the first round of the next World Cup. France has very experienced and talented players. Even then their performance is very poor. They have star players like Benzema, Griezmann, and Mbappe in their forwards. The midfield has talented players like Kante and Rabiot. Even then they have managed to score only two goals in the last 4 matches. I don't think coach Didier Deschamps is doing his job properly.

France actually disappointed me at the last European Championship because I expected a lot more from them.
Even then, it was clear that the French team has problems, primarily in the relationship between players and players and coaches.
There seem to be too many big stars on that team, with a very big ego.
Therefore, the poor performance of France in this competition is not too much of a surprise.
I think that the French team urgently needs a new coach, with much stronger authority and at the moment it's obviously Zidane and they must bring him as soon as possible, if possible before the World Cup because the current coach has no control over the players.

@heruist it’s clear that the top stars are tired and that’s why they’re clearly underperforming for their national teams, and hence it’s not surprising to see that the favourite teams are losing. Also I hope that France doesn’t perform this way when the World Cup begins, because I’ll be disappointed if they crash out in World Cup due to such poor performances.
