Yesterday night was a humiliating loss by a big score for England. Hungary beating England 4-0 in an away match by a wide margin. Hungary they surprised me a lot by crashing 4-0 in England. The first stage matches are over. Next matches are going to be on late September now. The matches in September will be the last games before the world cup. And then there will be the World Cup.

In my opinion, this is a massive wake up call for the English. They are nowhere near as good as they think they are. These last 4 results should give Southgate a clearer perspective as to which players aren’t going to cut the mustard and won’t be on the plane to Qatar. The time to experiment is over. The remaining two games v Germany & Italy aren’t friendlies & relegation from that group is a real threat so Southgate needs to start playing what he considers to be his strongest first choice 11 for those 2 games because they’ll be the only window he has before they walk out on 21st November.
I believe that it is not really a "wake up call" but more like they just didn't give a damn at all. Lets be honest, they are better than most teams in national competitions, maybe there could be a few better than them, but all of the others should be easy to beat for them.

However, they rarely ever give a damn about national competition, which has been a cultural thing at this point because I never really saw them compete all that well for a long time, possibly best team just ended up losing recently in Europa cup. So all in all I have to say that it is not going to be simple to just say "they are good but they need to play better", it is just "they are good, and should care" is more likely.

Italy and England had one of their worst days in this tournament yesterday certainly. Italy didn't even have a proper starting eleven and this cost them a big loss like 5-2. Germany didn't turn this opportunity down. England had a good starting eleven in my opinion but they still lost the match against Hungary home by a result like 4-0. This was really absurd to me and I wonder what really went wrong with England players in this match. Hungary shouldn't even have too many chances but they did much more in this.

England's performance was very disappointing. They have not won any of the four matches. I thought they could play well against Hungary. But they conceded 4 goals, and England suffered a humiliating defeat. Such a bad performance was not expected from a renowned team like England. At the same time Italy has lost 5-2. The Italian players attacked a lot, but Germany was able to dominate from the start of the match. So easily they won this match.

During the Nations League match, I lost a lot of bets, including in some major countries that lost, because for me they can win with other opponents it was in my prediction but in fact it did not agree with what I analyzed.

It is very difficult to predict the matches of the UEFA Nations League. Because no team takes this tournament seriously. Especially the performance of renowned teams is very irregular. They are also losing against relatively weaker teams. And I've lost a lot of bets. The performances of renowned teams, in particular, have disappointed.

That was a real answer from Germany. They finally dominated a game and scored goals. In the 3games before, they only managed to drew. But they want to win against Italy. You could see that right from the start. The 5:2 was also the highest win against Italy in the history. So they can go into the summer break with more confident.
The Germans were too formidable for the Italians to handle the team dubbed "German machine" they are very oustanding in their performance in the match, their players were very superb, the likes of Kimmich, Gundogan, Kimmich, Sane and Werner played excellently well if not for brilliant saves by Donnarumma more goals would have been scored, It's an embrassing defeat against the Euro champions, worst of it all the goal margin is wide and very embarrassing to their fans just like how the English team was defeated by Hungary also suffer  a similar fate.

Smart is not enough, there must be skills
In my opinion, UEFA failed about carrying out the competition environment they want while they were creating the UEFA Nations League. Big teams see this kind of matches as friendlies. The teams that take this job seriously have usually been the teams that have been trying for qualifying for the tournaments from the League C and D. But I don't think that this is the thing UEFA wanted to achieve.

You are right. The big teams did not take the UEFA Nations League seriously. They think it's a friendly match. And in most of the matches, they gave rest to the important players of their team. But before the World Cup, the Nations League could be a warm-up match for the big teams. They could have strengthened the bond between them. As a result, they could have performed better in the World Cup.

I see that in the big teams of the UEFA Nations League even though they play some important players but their hard work is not as big as in other competitions this has become commonplace which is not taken seriously even though many say the UEFA Nations League is a friendship.
Of course the World Cup will be an interesting tournament that is looking forward to compared to the UEFA Nations League I think the tournament will soon be a party.

It is surprising that two teams (England and France) which are ranked by the bookmakers as the top World Cup favorites have had such poor results in the Nations League and are now in danger of relegation. If their coaches regarded this tournament as an opportunity to experiment, then I don’t know what they have achieved - there is no result and it is difficult to understand what model of play and what squad is suitable in order to seriously compete in the World Cup. It is unlikely that a couple of games in September will be enough to resolve this issue.

The team was very surprised they had to be in bottom position because their game was too bad to watch, England vs Hungary alone had to lose 4-0 isn't this a shame I don't know how important the nations league is so they are not so focused or really want to be more safe for the world cup later, I don't know about that.

Congratulations to Hungary for being the group leader in this hellish group, Hungary being a great team in this group and Germany, Italy especially England, it seems that the three teams below are only dark horses. Who would have thought Hungary could be the top team in this group, and no one seems to think Hungary could do it but the truth is Hungary can win 4-0 against a mediocre team like England. Because if England is a great team with a great squad even if they are not serious, at least a great team can still put up a fight at least for a draw. But in reality England is nothing more than a mediocre team, very different from their league (epl) which is very popular in this era.

This result is primarily a matter of motivation. Obviously the England team doesn't have it, I'm sure if they were beating Hungary 2-0 they wouldn't have worked too hard to make the score bigger and the Hungarian team were trying to score as many goals as possible. Another question is why England allows itself to lose with such an indecent score. Even if they are not interested in this tournament, they must respect themselves and their fans.

In my opinion,  Turkiye's group is full of piece of cake opponents so and it would be a shame to lose to them for Turkiye. Yesterday, Turkiye faced Lithuania and won 2-0. Hakan Çalhanoğlu and Kaan Ayhan scored goals this match.  I guess Turkiye will promoting to the League B. However I hope Turkiye don't relegate to League B again.

Something that makes it great maybe Germany can take the lead with a score of 5-0 before Italy can score two goals before the match ends, but in my view this big win is something that is common. Because as we have already realized that this tournament is like a test event, where previously the top teams could not win and instead lost. So indeed, for now I agree that the big teams in this event are not that serious and with that too, this big win could mean that Italy is just playing normally, meaning not playing to win.

The English team has been using their strong lineup in most of their games since the Nation League started and yet no improvement or whatsoever is happening, I'm not sure anything will change much at the World Cup if they don't make the right call now and give Southgate the sack letter, he's not improved the team in any way now I see why the English team is yet to win any major trophy in the last decade, they out so much believe in their home grown coaches Get yourself a good tactical coach!!

The French are tinkering with their squad. I'm sure they'll get their shit together before the World Cup, but I can't say the same for England.

For England i don't think Southgate have to resign from his position because there is upcoming event is more important than this tournament so i'm sure England will do better in world cup and regarding poor performance it only not belongs to England because strong team such as France also still cannot showed their best performance and UEFA Nations League is not their priority so it is normal if some teams didn't take it serious and indeed apparently i'm done to bets and predict the match from this tournament because every matches looks unpredictable for me

Gareth Southgate and Roberto Mancini must resign after those humiliating results. I know that the Nations League matches aren't that important, but this is just historical humiliation. The strange and unpredictable results will continue in the next rounds of the UEFA Nations League. I'm wondering whether or not those results are manipulated and has the football mafia somewhat influenced the games.
Congrats to Hungary and Germany. Georgia is also doing pretty well in their group. Three wins and one draw looks quite impressive for the Georgians.
Some big western teams like France, Belgium, Italy and England simply refuse to take this tournament seriously.

During the 2020 Euros, I supported Southgate and felt like he was the right manager for this English team. But later on I now realize that Southgate doesn't have a plan neither does he have any philosophy. England has all along been playing and performing based on players skills and individual capabilities. No rhythm, no system in the team. If England doesn’t fix this team and gets the right squad to represent in the coming World Cup, they’ll get knocked out at group stages in the World Cup.

I see that Turkey are going on very determinedly in their league now. However it is completely normal as well because their group is full of piece of cake opponents like Luxembourg, Faroe Islands and Lithuania. They shouldn't stumble in any of the games remaining as well. I don't even understand how a team like Turkey can be in the League C now. They had a really bad period before. I know that and I hope they don't relegate to this league ever again after promoting to the League B.
It's just that Turkey took these competitions seriously after almost missing out on a chance to qualify for the World Cup from a not-so-difficult group. But even now they have ridiculous opponents and it would be a shame to lose to them. Although, France are in last place in the group and are not too worried. It all depends on willingness or unwillingness to play.
