I mean how could the UFC market Adesanya vs Whittaker 3?

How many times Figueredo fought Moreno? How many times Conor fought Poirier ? Adesanya met Pereira 4 times... Cheesy It is so hard to get a title fight nowadays. Ranked guys dont want to fight unranked or those who are lower than they are. It is so stupid to see same guys fight each other again and again, that UFC should make a best of 3 or something like that to get a belt. Like NHL and NBA have in later part of tournament. (best of 3 or 5, I dont remember).

^  I don't think either of those guys will go on to get another title shot.  I guess the winner will get another top 5 guy while the loser will the thrown to a top prospect.  Lol.  As for Whittaker vs Du Plessis, I think Du Plessis gets a chance to fight for the belt due to being a new face at top 5 but Whittaker winning will make it iffy for the match makers.  He deserves another title shot imo but he already fight Adesanya twice and lost.  :/  I mean how could the UFC market Adesanya vs Whittaker 3?

Anyway, here's another fight replay.  Enjoy...

Now that we have settled the UFC 289 Main event I think it is time to move forward for another great event this coming weekend,

Both fights, main and co main event are great. Cannonier and Vettori are about to decide, which one of them are going to be beaten by Adesanya Cheesy Or first they gonna face Whittaker and then the winner gonna get beaten by Adesanya. It seems that middleweight division is getting boring, as Izzy has already beaten those guy, and some of them even twice.

Dont know much about Joaquim Silva. He is not in top of lightweight. And his UFC record isnt impressive. Dont why Tsarukyan if fighting him.

Charles never fails to keep your excitement up all through out the game. Even when Charles is down there he still manages to throws elbow and hammer fist to Dariush making him think twice of his plans. When Dariush got the head kick and saw Charles right close to him, he panics right away.

Nunes is too intimidating for Aldana, she just watch Nunes do her thing. At 35 and with two belts still with her, I think its also a good time for Nunes to retire.
Charles truly deserves commendation? His unyielding resolve is truly admirable. In spite of finding himself on the ropes, he strategically forced Dariush to reassess his tactics with the deployment of his calculated elbow and hammer fist techniques. It certainly illustrates his unparalleled dedication, doesn't it?

Turning our attention to Nunes, her devotion is seemingly in a class of its own. She handles her twin championships with the tenderness of a mother. Yet, everyone deserves respite. Perhaps the moment has arrived for Nunes to transition from boxing gloves to the comfort of leisure footwear. One could argue that retirement would aptly crown her illustrious career, right?

As we look towards the future, what lies in store for Charles and Nunes? Will they persist in their athletic competition, or is it time for them to yield the stage to the forthcoming generation?

My prediction is correct that supporting Nunes for victory is the right choice and we can see for ourselves that she is again the women UFC GOAT champion.
But it looks like he may actually be retiring and the title he already has may be up for grabs for some other fighter.
Actually, it's a shame for a fighter with a million achievements like Nunes to decide to retire early considering he's not too old and still deserves to be in the octagon to defend the title he has held for several years.

Well, she already retired so that was it I really think she has her own reason for hanging the gloves and she already has said in the Octagon interviews that it was for her mother because her mom keeps asking her to retire because she can not take it anymore the worrying for her daughter and it is also for her family that she wants to spend her entire retired career with her family if you watch the video of her octagon interview you will surely know the details but here is the Video LINK

Oliveira win yesterday proves that he is still a force to be rekon with, i think the rematch with islam is the right decision but it will be as tough as the first one since islam has a strong chin and can take punches and outwrestling him is a really tough task, oliveira must make some adjustements and try to surprise him because if volkanowski couldn't knock him down this prove how good islam is.

^  Yup, I wanna see the UFC run it back and have those guys go at it again.  Oliveira made a dumb mistake with the no so well executed flying knee and he got caught straight at his chin then on he went groggy straight to the mat.  Lol.

As for Nunes, happy to see somebody have a happy ending.  She has some money, her health and a beautiful family.  Smiley

Anyway, on we go to the next event!  I honestly don't know a lot of these guys that much but there should be some bangers here and there.  Main event is decent tho.

Here's a fight replay for Vettori

This makes Charles way to get a chance to once again get back his throne from Islam Makachev and they will need to make it happen this year because both fighters are ready, especially Islam. I'm sure Charles will accept that because their fight was close and due to the fact that he is just completely stunned by Islam but this time he has the chance to prove himself back again.

what a good fight from the Nunes and she completely dominated her opponent which is the best time to retire and live as one of the legends in the UFC.

I even though that Aldana corner is going to throw a towel after first round, as Aldana simply ate all the strike Nunes throw. That was a total declass by Nunes. And that is why I am not a fan of women mma. If Aldana was a contender for a belt, then I wonder how bad all other kittens are in roster.
Her corner keeps on telling him to throw some punches, her counters were really successful but the numbers can be counted in literally the number of fingers in her hands. She just focused on protecting herself like she is too afraid to be taken down or too afraid to be knockdown. I don't like Aldana's performance on that fight, maybe she can show something next time. A better Aldana who can prove that she will be the 4th Mexican to win the title just like Alexa Grasso.
To me Aldana looked like a rookie, that is scared to throw a strike, because he will be open for counter strike. Not going to rewatch their fight, but I dont remember any good strike that Aldana connected. Check out scorecards, she even got 8 for some rounds... And stats shows that Aldana landed only 41 strike, while Nunes 142...

I don’t like women’s MMA, as it is really unpredictable, and most often women fight with their feelings instead of fighting with their head. That’s what makes someone like Khabib Nurmagomedov, so good. Even after so much trash talking from Connor McGregor, he did not move away from his game plan. And honestly, except for a few women, Most of them are not very skillful.

We witnessed an upgraded Oliveira so this could be one of the biggest fights in the lightweight division if ever it will come true.
Imho, I did not see upgraded Oliveira. Same pushing, muay thai and elite grappling, same immediate fall to the back when dangerous. Now the question, who Oliveira gonna face next. Makhachev ? Imho their second fight might be a copy/paste of their first, as Charlie is going to be the same. Winner of Poirier vs Gaethji? Makes no sense, as he has already beaten them.

Charles Oliveira fought really well and far, better compared to Dariush. I would just say that this was not a night for Dariush. The striking of Charles Oliveira was multiple levels above Dariush. Dariush should have given Charles Oliveira a hard time because he is a good wrestler. But he did not even attempt any takedown. It’s like he got beaten down so much that he forgot his strength.

Now to Oliveira vs Dariush. It was expected that Olivera would push, and Dariush would eat most of strikes. Specially that right leg hick kick. And no matter how good Dariush is at wrestling and bjj, he did not show much in deep waters. I am even close to saying that Olivera is on another level than Dariush. Then a question appears - what Dariush is doing so high in top?
Yeah, it's like the level is way far between them. Oliveira dominated him and he cannot even fight back in a respectable way until he found himself just being hammered on the mat.
What I cannot forget is when he said "That hand is heavy and ready." he is obviously asking for the title match and how I wish it will be approved. The way he performed against Dariush there will be a lot of hype from MMA fans to make it happen.
We witnessed an upgraded Oliveira so this could be one of the biggest fights in the lightweight division if ever it will come true.

It was a crazy fight and Beneil Dariush doesn't really expect that from Charles Oliveira, Oliveira really delivers the message to the champion and Daniel Cormier has said that the champion Islam Makhachev Tweeted congratulates him and added that there are levels to this game, so I guess a rematch will surely be appropriate because Charles Oliveira was love by the Canadians and shouting his name when he said who is the champion, so I am really starting to be excited about what may happen in the future,

The only solid strike Irene Aldana was able to connect was in the first round, there was a moment when i thought Amanda Nunes would gas out but Irene Aldana did not pick up the pace and it is sad to see that Amanda Nunes announced her retirement as i wanted to see the rubber match between Julianna Peña as she is the only person that could defeat Amanda Nunes.

Domination was the right word for this Irene Aldana stopped after that 1st round realizing that she can not win against Amanda Nunes, and that is why it has happened pretty much I am a solid fan of women empowering but Amanda Nunes is just overpowered that it seems impossible for an Irene Aldana to become champion while she is around and right now because of her sudden retirement waiting for a new UFC women Bantamweight champion,

Juliana reacts to Nunes retirement saying Nunes is just too scared that she retired because Pena's retaliation.  Like any other retirement of these fighters, they come back after just discussion of money.  If Dana wants Pena and Nunes fight for their 3rd, he can do it for the fans.

If Nunes goes to PFL, Dana will really be pissed. Could it happen or not, depends on PFL.

I really love seeing it and right now he is now speaking English which is why many people are interested in him now, it only proves that the UFC really has a quality of fighters on it, and talking even though Charles Oliveira was underneath he was still winning the striking giving elbow to Dariush while in that position shows the huge thing Charles Oliveira improves,

While Amanda Nunes is a solid fighter it just goes to show even though Irene Aldana has done everything she can to get the belt she still can not manage to do her thing,

Well, I think Irene Aldana's game plan was to knock out Amanda Nunes, and seeing that plan doesn't work on Nunes and that Amanda Nunes was so durable with Aldana striking even though that solid strike from Aldana connects it really did nothing to Nunes, I think this has failed Aldana to do something to Nunes that she has stopped from moving because her plan didn't work,

UFC 289 was something very emotional with Manda Nunes announcing her retirement from MMA, she had no difficulties in beating her opponent and dominated the 5 rounds, something very smart about Amanda Nunes was the time she used to announce her retirement, while many fighters have the big problem of not looking at the big issue of retiring while they are still at their peak of fame and victories, they prefer to keep fighting until they get worn out in terms of image and performance and then when they retire they end into oblivion, all the glory achieved goes all into oblivion

while amanda nunes was very smart, she retired precisely in a good phase of her life, with two titles, even if time passes she will be remembered well, that was undoubtedly something very well thought out, because people always see a fighter people will remember her category and how she retired with victory so they won't be able to know if the new good fighter of the categories in which she was champion would be able to beat her or not, so it's an expectation that people create ever. congratulations to amanda nunes, about the other fights i have nothing to comment because i didn't bet on them

I confess that I intended to bet on a multibet with 3 fights including this Amanda Nunes fight, but unfortunately I ended up betting on the Manchester City game in the champions league together with the Argentine league game, it was a multibet that had a good odd and with that I it made some profit, but I ended up forgetting about the fights. but anyway, next time I bet on the fights
