I’ve seen reports both ways as to whether or not Conor McGregor will be fighting in December. Anyone know if that’s going to happen or not? It seems a little bit more unlikely by the day to me as Conor seems to currently be focusing on the bogus boxing matchup between Dillon Danis and Logan Paul.

Holloway is a specimen. He ate a lot of shots in that fight against Allen, but Allen is no joke as he was on 12-win streak before that fight.
Surprises happen but I can't see Korean Zombie winning the next fight, unless by an injury. Odds for Holloway are 1.12 (Unibet), which is as low as it gets.
The problem with Max is he has nowhere to go. He fought Volkanovski 3 times already, so I don't expect UFC will be super happy to run it again, and not sure if Max would want it either.
I'd love to see him against O'Malley, but he wouldn't make weight and if O'Malley is to move up, it won't be anytime soon.

Yup...  That's how I see it happening too.  By the time the match is over, TKZ's face would be beaten to a pulp.  Kinda like how Holloway did Brian Ortega.  But then again we just saw Sterling got KO'd by O'Malley.  So what do I know...  Lol.

And I was kinda leaning towards Arnold Allen when they fought as I thought Holloway would start dipping in performance.  I was wrong.  He still has it.

For Sure Umar Nurmagmedov is a truly great fighter I also want to see him in a title shot aswell but that is if O'Malley is still champion that time, but for sure I want to see Umar Nurmagomedov in that kind of spotlight getting the Belt against the Champion that will be a true highlight of a fight aswell but for now I think that O'Malley will be fighting Marlon Vera, or a rematched against Sterling,

The recent form of the Korean Zombie right now is very different than with his past style for sure this is going to be a technical fight and will be a good one but Holloway will have a advantage with the boxing here and the Zombie needs something very different here if he wants to win this fight,

Yeap, you are crazy. Imho Holloway gonna take Korean Zombie to boxing school and give him some hard lessons. Max has only lost to a champ (3 times lol, but all the fights went full distance) and Poirier in peak form. I doubt that those 7cm reach advantage gonna play a big role, Zombie is not much of a knockout artist. Winning few rounds is also not likely, if the stupidly throw strikes, then Max is a strike spam machine.

Oh man I really like upcoming main event Max Holloway vs Korean Zombie, but this whole main card is a bomb!
Bookmakers made Holloway a huge favorite in this fight, but call me crazy for thinking that Korean Zombie can take advantage of his reach advantage and win few rounds or a whole fight.
Co-main event is interesting but I want to see how Giga Chikadze will react after losing last fight from Calvin Kattar.

Yeah, that is true. Every people growing up in Dagestan has to fight. I don’t know if you have seen the interview of Khabib Nurmagomedov with Patrick Ben David in the MGM Arena. Khabib said it really well. He just directly said that as a man you cannot be weak. You have to be a fighter if you are a man in Dagestan.

So when every other kid is learning how to fight, you are not going to be the one to pussy out. It’s like even if you do not like fighting, you have to train and you are always in a competitive mindset with the others that you have to be better. And the next day you wake up and you are fighting a bear as a child. And one day you wake up as the number one Pound for Pound fighter with a 29-0 record. This also indicates that tradition is very important.

You guys are forgetting about Khabib's cousin, Umar Nurmagomedov.    He supposed to fight Corey Sandhagen but had to pull out due to injury, so Rob Font went in on short notice...  Had Umar Nurmagomedov fought Sandhagen, good chance he would've won and become one of the contenders for the title.  

Among the top guys, I think Vera is the easiest match up for O'Malley.

There is something not in water, but in the air Wrestling fluids.

Real answers are simple: first there is nothing much to do there, and this is kid of a cheap sport for locals. You need to buy special protection gear and have a special gym. Just shorts, t-shirt and you are ready. Second, it is less traumatically than boxing or when you get hit into head (even though it is not the most safe sport). It helps to develop body. Third, this is like a tradition. Like baseball for USA, cricket for India.


Maybe I have missed something about Sean, but when he became a champ, he told that he wants to "close" that case with Vera and have a rematch? Because I remember that was something with O'Malley leg. An injury. When Sean walked back. That cost him a fight. Or I am confusing something ?

In Dagestan, there is something in the water. Everyone that comes out from there is a fighter and everyone is really good at wrestling. This is absolutely undeniable. A lot of people do say that they do not like to see wrestling in MMA because wrestling feels a little boring at times. But I beg to differ.

Umar Nurmagomedov is definitely a great fighter. I think we will see a fight between him and Sean O’Malley sometime in the future. And that is a fight. I am really looking forward to see. Sean O’Malley getting submitted by a Dagestani is not unbelievable to think though.

Actually this is great about MMA than with Boxing if though the gloves is not that thick in the MMA the rules on Stoppage is to prevent a fighter from further damage even though sometimes it become an early stoppage the referee is there to keep the fighters safe, for sure so yeah Aljamain Sterling and most fighters are thankful for the Refs that doing their job properly, for sure that is the big difference on Boing and the MMA,

Well Sean O'Malley surely got an unfinished business against Marlon Vera, and he wants to settle the score once and for all because this is the lost that O'Malley didn't recognized back then he still thinks that Vera only won because he got injured which is likely not his fault that he gets injured, for sure because O'Malley is the champion now he surely have the right to pick his opponent next,


He admits what have happen for sure he also said that O'Malley get up there and showed that he is the champion, actually Sterling was really shocked on the performance of O'Malley setting up the hand setting up the fakes, misdirecting most of his strikes so Sterling can not read what he is after,


For me because he is not Champion he can get what he wants I think he can get Marlon Chito Vera 1st before anything else because that lost from him he can not accept it,

And even though I bet on Ian Machado Garry, I really don't like what he did to Neil Magny that kind of Disrespecting Neil Magny, for sure what Neil Magny was trying to say is he will disciplined Ian Garry just like how he discipline his sons, and whooping his ass inside the octagon, what I think Neil Magny is saying here, but for sure Iam McGregor Wannabe is making some different statement on what really Neil is saying, that is why I don't like Garry at all,

It is good that on top of bantamweight is a striker, because among top fighters of this division we have a guy who wears papakha on his homeland If Nurmagomedov was to face Sandhagen, and Sandhagen is one of the first contenders on a title fight. Then in 2-3 fights we might see O'Malley got submitted by another Dagestani I bet O'Malley gonna beat Dvalishvili/Sandhagen next, and revenge Vera.

In his post-fight interview, Sterling didn't really blame the referee. He said that he was not out and rolled over to defend himself, but he understood the decision. So there's no controversy here.
O'Malley ruled out a rematch even before the fight. His fight with Vera will be easy to hype but I somehow don't find it super-exciting. I'd rather see a rematch against Sterling or  have O'Malley fight Sandhagen tbh.

The bombs dropped on Sterling are just not bearable. His head bounced several times, he couldn't even stand to protest. When they see he didn't protect himself, they understood it's the end already. If the rules say we wait til a fighter is flat out, the majority of the fighters in UFC will not live long. Sterling be grateful to that referee or it would have been more slashes on his face and he might end up with a brain hemorrhage.

And Sean also just cut him out for a rematch by calling Vera who seems tobe his priority. After Vera that might just be the time we'll see who will be the next, Cejudo despite being old, will grab his phone to Dana.

I was really surprised by what have happen and I admit that I don't like O'Malley and I don't like him to win this match but surely he got pretty much good from his previous fights for sure and in this fight, he really made it too easy for sure and I really don't like that because O'Malley has stopped the takedowns of Aljamain Sterling in this fight that means all takedowns is now voided it was shocking that there is something that is not right in this fight as it looks like Aljomain Sterling is now giving Merab Dvalishvili an opportunity to beat Sean O'Malley because his friend doesn't want to fight him he is giving the fight to him, just my theory and as many said the fight looks to easy,


For me, it looks like an early stoppage but for sure it was a good one and the referees are just doing their job for sure, so it is a good stoppage in my opinion, this is the difference in boxing where the referee will save the fighter early if necessarily so no further damage or a serious concussion is prevented,

Just right now, he almost is the face of social media because of this new accomplishment and this man really deserves some honor because he fought hard and won that fight against a worthy opponent. Maybe this time he really reached the prime of his career and enjoyed it for a while because, after this one, he surely will face stronger opponents in the future. And it would be a great challenge and high risk for him but if he managed to win it, then he would surely become a phenomenal fighter and become famous like Mcgregor.

^  Yup, Blanchfield vs Santos is gonna be a banger for a WMMA match up...  And I'm not sure why it's one notch above the bottom at the main card.  They're both ranked at the top 5 and the winner could be next to fight Grasso for the title.  It should be the co main event imho.

As for O'Malley, I think he just wants to get that L back.  Looking back, it was a fluke.  Vera did get lucky hitting the nerve that makes the leg numb.  I mean what's Vera gonna do?  Hit it at the exact same spot?  That's not happening...  On the other hand, Vera is one tough dude...  He's never been finished.

The fight of these two is an important battle as either of them wins could challenge for the Bantamweight title.
Now that Marlon Vera has come out as champion by unanimous decision and the difference in points that has been obtained is quite a lot, then Marlon Vera will become a challenger for the Bantamweight title.
I'm surprised by @Hydrogen why he dared to take a winning bet for Pedro Munhoz without seeing the development of the two in the UFC so far.

Now the Batamweight class belt is held by OMalley who also managed to defeat Aljamain Sterling at UFC 292 and it looks like in the future Marlon Vera will fight OMalley to fight for the title again.

O'Malley may want what ever he wants, but a rematch against Vera seems to me not in UFC to-do list. Imho it is Sandhagen or Dvalishvili time to get a title fight. Dvalishvili deserves a title fight more than anyone in bantamweight. He is on series of 8 or 9 wins. O'Malley and Dvalishvili can show good fight. Dvalishvili is even able to take belt from O'Malley. So I think O'Malley not going to meet Vera any time soon.
