That opportunity could have given Aldana a win if he managed to make Nunes make a mistake but it seems difficult because from the previous mistake Nunes lost his title so that in this fight Nunes will be very careful and focused on the fight.
Actually making Nunes fight emotionally can make it easier for Aldana to master the fight in the octagon but can Aldana do that (I'm sure it's impossible).

Juliana Pena is the only fighter who can beat Nunes absolutely from 2016 until now so it's only natural that Juliana Pena can make Nunes make mistakes but in the end the title is taken again by Nunes.

That is why I have said it was the only thing Aldana need in order to win which is impossible which means she doesn't have any chance at all, that mistake opening is at 10% but still a great chance than nothing, for Irene Aldana, Julianna Peña done it and have executed a rear naked choke maybe she can make it if Nunes is in a state of an emotional split with her wife, Amanda Nunes is 100% focus in doing this so we really don't see a chance for Irene Aldana,

Funny that Beneil got like 7 or 8 straight wins in UFC, and people are like "who is this guy". I mean really. Great record, but people cant remember any of his finishes or performances. While Beneil happens to be a good BJJ. To bad he is bad at striking. He looses most by KOes. I doubt that this fight is going to be a play of chess between two black bjj belts. It will be like Oliveira pushes, but takes damage, while Beneil is not the one who can survive damage. I expect a TKO win by Oliveira here. He will as usually eat damage, but his counter damage will turn fight to the ground, where he will TKO Beneil or jumps on back like a school bagpack and choke him.

P.S. Surprisingly, when I watch YouTube shorts with fighter comments on that fight, they expect Beneil to win...

This will be a great fight if the fight goes to the ground both fighters will surely know who really has the advanced BJJ but Charles Oliveira would likely want the fight to be on the ground, which is pretty much Oliveira can finish this with his striking actually I don't really see Beniel Dariush win against Charles Oliveira but there still a chance for Dariush if Oliveira doesn't have advance technique in BJJ then he can likely can get Oliveira in that but Seeing Islam Makhachev easily beaten Oliveira if Dariush have the advantage with BJJ likely he can win on the ground,

Makhachev won because Oliveira, as usually, pushed forward openly and eat damage in order to get a better position for his BJJ attack. Oliveira started with that flying knee and instantly received a hook, then got choked. If there were Beneil on Makhachev place, he would not throw a hook, but rather step aside or block. That is the usual tactics of Beneil - avoid damage, contact and search for a tactical advantage to shoot a single leg takedown and develop further attack till submission. Beneil imho is slow on action, to cautions to make something.

we will have very interesting fights, I am watching some to see which fight I will bet on, there is the fight of David against Steve in which I see david winning this fight, the odd for this fight is @1.37 so if I add it to a multibet bet it could be something much more advantageous, I can add Miranda's fight against Jasmine in which the favorite also has an odd of @1.37 which would give me an odd of @1.87 but I still see it as a small odd, so if I add with Amanda's fight against Irene will get an odd of @2.41 which would be an odd that would be worth making a bet, I want to combine it with another soccer game

as I need to take some time to calmly analyze these 3 fights, that's why I didn't rush to place a bet, but I already scheduled these 3 fights for me to analyze and place a bet, I see that the favorites in these 3 fights have a good advantage over their opponents and as it has a good odd, then it would be worth just placing a bet and everything becomes more interesting when I add another soccer game that I intend to bet on, I will soon have an odd of @3.41 anyway, I will post my bets here after the fights are over, I hope I can get it right because it would give me a profit

I also see David as a good choice and maybe I will put my full pick later aswell, and David Dvořák has a balanced KO and submission win than Steve Erceg maybe I really don't feel him that much but judging from their movements, I see David Dvorak has a lot of tools to counter Steve Erceg from his ground game with his own ground counter, and his strength is also there so for me David Dvorak could win this, while Miranda Maverick and Jasmine Jasudavicius, for this I see Maverick on the edge and might dominate the fight against Jasmine Jasudavicius,

Sure thing we can analyze what could happen with the fight and this is a good thing because we can watch some of the fighters pass fights so we could have some idea of what may have happened between the fight, I think Preliminary Cards are very easy to predict and even going with the underdog may get a possible win,

I'm pretty sure the main event at 289 with women on will be bloodier and more exciting than what we just had with KKF vs Albazi.  It was really a bit boring and had no interest of watching it again.  Lol.  I'm also looking at Curtis and Oliveira for two slight underdog sports that could win.

Anyway here's the countdown vid and the vlog for the event.

Enjoy...

I really think the Kai Kara-France VS Amir Albazi fight was OK with me the only reason that it become boring was Kara-France didn't engage so much at the beginning of the rounds and the only time he engage in getting active was in the 4th round only the rest it was not really that bad but it is not that great either, it was just OK that is why it was a boring fight for some,

To be quite honest with you, I hadn't really watched it a lot closely as I would've wanted as I had some friends that came over and we had beer...  You know how it works.  Grin  But yeah, it was boring in a way because it felt like it didn't have any urgency that makes you really watch and get in to it.  We were just talking and standing up, getting snacks, grilling some meat, etc, etc...

So yeah, my thought process is if it didn't excite 5 drunk guys then it was boring.  Cheesy  Kidding...  Gotta watch the replay.

I doubt that Dariush color his hair to look gray and old  Grin probably just a specification of his body, or his body is lacking some kind of vitamin. Maybe this is due to supplement he takes. In Russian mma community he has a nickname - gray (old).

To me he is like a dark horse. We see him so rarely, he fights so less famous fighters. If I ask to name his 3 big fights, people would first go to google. But he is rank 6 among lightweights. That always surprised me.

I thought you are talking about Charles Oliveira, Hahaha I surely have missed that, anyway, I haven't seen the latest hair of Beneil Dariush but I have seen that he already got gray hair, well I also got gray hair so I think it could be a hereditary thing or on his genes to have gray hair, but anyways Beneil Dariush is rarely seen in the UFC I really don't know why but because of so many fighters in the UFC there are fighters that didn't get their fight in the UFC and I really don't know what is the deal on that I think Beneil Dariush is the same as those fighters, but surely he is a rare pokemon to be shown in the octagon again and to face Charles Oliveira like this it will be an epic fight in my opinion,

I also think that Aldana will find it difficult to face Nunes considering Nunes is the Underdog in that fight.
What's more, Nunes is a great fighter who has won many fights and has won the title not just once or twice.
Maybe Aldana can win if she manages to irritate Nunes and fight emotionally because then Nunes will lose focus and it's easy to make mistakes but I'm not too sure Aldana can do it.

In this fight, I am willing to spend more money to risk victory from Nunes.

I am seeing a small window of opportunity for Irene Aldana to win this, it is surely a slim one for her, and for me, this is just my opinion in order for Irene Aldana to win this fight, actually, this fight should be Juliana Peña but because of her injuries it was changed to Irene Aldana and because the fans also want a different fighter for Nuñes and so they got what they want, but for Irene Aldana winning this fight, I got to say she will need to look for an opening, that opening is if Amanda Nunes could make a mistake which is very rare, just like what happened with her 1st fight against Juliana Peña,

I think the suggestion to interview the judges after the fight make sense. It may make sense why they gave such scores so that fans are not gonna be just scratching heads. Its not the first time as controversial fights happen over and over even in boxing.

As for Nunes vs Aldana, Nunes will still be the tougher fighter. Nunes being the underdog must be undermining.

I agree I have been Scratching my head ever since I am watching a fight and then think that my best fighter won it, but in the end, I will find out the decision that the other fighter win it, deep inside you will feel like you have been betrayed and cheated by the judges, well if the judges can make some explanation maybe it will help ease the pain from a robbery win but it could also make no sense if the judges still push some none sense explanation,

And Yes I also think that Amanda Nunes can still manage to have a dominant win against Irene Aldana,

Dang! That one is really Sizzling hot, surely The Warrior Princess Diana Belbiţă is one outstanding female, and just like you have mentioned she is a Diamond were very rarely found a circle, well let's likely not finish what I am saying about her, but for this fight, I am afraid her opponent is not a push over Maria Oliveira can surely knockout opponent, and for Diana Belbita to win this she will need to upped his ground game where a striker like Oliveira has weakness on,

Nunez struggled to win over Pena in their first fight when Nunez decides to fight standing. Doing it again with Aldana will be risky as well to which Nunez will likely lose as well against a striker with luck.

Without luck, victory will be with Nunez still. Aldana has less than 50 chance of wining against the tested Nunez.
I am rooting for Amanda Nunes to win the fight against Irene Aldana, there is a recent resurgence from Mexican fighters winning championships but i am not sure about her training camp. Against Julianna Peña Nunes gassed out pretty fast as Pena was countering her strikes and not backing down and in the rematch she was calculated in her attacks and i am expecting the same against Irene.

The UFC should also bring back those techniques that would make it easier for them to knockout each other, very much similar to One Fighting rules where they are allowed to knee or step on a grounded opponent's head.

Isn't stepping on a fallen opponent's head forbidden?
especially if it's in the back of the head then you might even get a warning card or a violation.
The really pure fighting technique is kicking and punching because I think kicking and punching is the high point although slamming is also a big point.
I prefer fighters who are aggressive with punching attacks compared to fighters who just defend and wait for the right time to attack because it will be very boring and can't give satisfaction while watching the fight.

I think I will rewatch the previous fights of Aldana, but for sure it will be hard for him to take on Amanda Nunes, but if she can pull up an upset just like Alexa Grasso did to    Valentina Shevchenko, it will surely take great technicality for her to do such things if she would go against Amanda Nunes because Amanda Nunes is a buff woman, for me this would take a technicality level as Alexa Grasso did to Valentina Shevchenko if Irene Aldana can not pull that she will not win this, but will be watching some of Irene Aldana's previews fights there could be a slight chance that Irene Aldana could pull this up,
I also think that Aldana will find it difficult to face Nunes considering Nunes is the Underdog in that fight.

But in my opinion, in a fight luck is not too much of a problem to be able to win because in a fight victory is supported by the strength factor and also skills in fighting so that fighters can carry out attacks or locks to make their opponents surrender.
Maybe luck can have an effect but only has a small percentage.

By the way, Nunes is a great and strong female fighter so it's easy for her to beat Aldana.
Moreover, Nunes has better fighting experience than Aldana.

^  Yup, it's not totally up to the UFC to make those rules and as you said, it's up to the athletic commisions.  And here's the kicker, it's possible that each athletic commission could allow another rule depending on the state.  But that wouldn't make sense for the UFC or Bellator or the PFL as a sports brand.  Hence we have the unified rules for MMA.

But as for bbc's suggestion for adding knees vs a grounded opponent, I'm all for it.  It makes the matches more interesting as there'll be a huge change of how these guys fight on the mat.

I think knees or kicks to grounded opponent are entertaining, but do too much damage to the head. Perhaps even as damaging as strikes to back of the head. I think that UFC would allow that, but US athletic commissions would not allow that. But there are double standards. Slapping undefended person is ok, but 6-12 elbows to head, stomps and knees to grounded arent allowed. I would bad power slap, dont allow elbows and that grounded person strikes, but would sign petition to change official UFC gloves. Those eye pokes make to much change in the fight.

Of course you will, as kittens are fighting Cheesy (no offence, just joking)

Finally we gonna see gray-haired guy fighting. The guy is 34 and is so gray, much gray than me Cheesy Probably has a worse wife than mine, lol Cheesy Finally a decent opponent for Dariush. He has been fighting unranked or low ranked opponents and stays high in top. That was always a question for me. Either strong opponents avoid him, or he is very lucky to take easy path on a way to fight for the belt.

Hahaha, No worries TopTort777 you really know what I like those Juicy, I mean Slick skills of those women fighting in the UFC, but yeah Sorry Irene Aldana is not on the list,

Did someone mention fighting kitties? There is one who might have those slick, slippery skills on an octagon, a diamond, a square, a circle or it can be any shape hehehe.

She is from Romania.

Kai got robbed in my opinion. I don't even think it was close, except for the one submission attempt Albazi didn't do a awful lot. He got massively outstruck, and failed to make his takedowns for much of the fight. I had a decent night of predictions, but I was let down by that flash KO of Jamie. That was probably one of my more confident picks of the night too. To do that on your debut though, that's quite impressive. I'm annoyed at Jamie though, he gets way too confident, and forgets to defend.

It was interesting to see Izzy tweet that judges should have to give interviews after the fight and defend their scorecards. This is the first time I’ve heard of such an idea but it doesn’t seem like a bad one. Sort of similar to the NBA’s 2-minute report that shows any of the officials’ mistakes at the end of games to hold them accountable.

I reckon these close fights that go to the judges should be taken as something for fighters to start doing their best to finish the fight with a knockout or a submission.

The UFC should also bring back those techniques that would make it easier for them to knockout each other, very much similar to One Fighting rules where they are allowed to knee or step on a grounded opponent's head.

Uncle Dana should encourage this. He is promoting a slap league where there is free concussion on every slap on a defenseless opponent, however, he will not allow simple martial techniques for opponents who are allowed to defend themselves? This is head shaking.

Very entertaining fights coming up.
Here are my picks for June 10
Amanda Nunes (1.31) versus Irene Aldana (3.75) -  Irene Aldana - Going for the underdog this time. I like the odds given for Aldana and as a replacement because of Pena's injury, this is a good chance for her so she better give her all to this fight. Both strikers, this could become a brawl. Aldana should be careful with Nunes's hard punches. Both also have submission wins so takedowns could happen once in a while to keep the unpredictability of each fighter.

Charles Oliveira (2.26) versus Beneil Dariush (1.70) - Beneil Dariush For the favorite on the co-main event of the evening. I may pump it more when the KO/TKO/Submission win is available but the odds are not yet out so I guess I will have to wait.

Good luck.

I think the suggestion to interview the judges after the fight make sense.

in my opinion they should be interviewed before and after the fights, in the case of before the fights they could talk about how the psychological pressure would be on their side, what they would expect from the fight, how they think the difficulty of judging the fight would be, and in their opinion which of the fighters would be more difficult to judge during the fight, these thoughts would more or less give an idea of what people could expect from each judge during the fight, and after the fight it would avoid people being disappointed because the judge didn't judge well the fight, also after the fight the judges had to do a press conference

to talk about how the fight was judged, in which part they had great difficulties in judging the fight and why they chose fighter x as the winner of the fight and not fighter y, it is important to do this so that people after the fight understand the position of the judges, and again I will repeat myself to avoid people complaining and thinking that their favorite fighter was unfair while when people listen to the judges' side they will already understand that the judge may have been right in his choice, not I remember the fights, but in the last few months I saw comments from people complaining about the positions of the judges
