I'm gonna admit, I totally underestimated Rose's will to retain the belt. Ol' Gertrude really showed that she is still willing to fight, even tho she had some reservations about fighting in the past. Not a fan, but I do respect what she has done.

As expected, Colby really stomped on the gas in this one. I have a hard time believing someone besides Usman is on his level in that division. A part of me would love to see Khabib vs Covington (when Khabib was fighting) as Khabib was reportedly wrestling with bigger guys all the time and was known to put on some weight.

Can someone explain why Gaethje vs Chandler was billed lower than Edgar vs Vera or Burgos vs Quarantilio? That makes no sense to me.

Kamaru Usman Def Colby Covington

Covington has targeted a takedown early on, but a good takedown defense from Kamaru Usman has failed the assault of Colby Covington, we can see how ready Kamaru Usman really is in this fight he can sure take the punishment from Covington while Usman's heavy strikes have damage Covington a lot, you can really see the power of Kamaru Usman in this fight.

Rose Namajunas Def Zhang Weili

Congrats to both fighters, and Zhang Weili really did up his game no doubt about it, but Rose Namajunas is still a technical fighter than Weili, both fighters have done a great job, in my opinion, I could give 4 round win for Rose Namajunas, but the 3rd round is a very controversial one but I think Weili has won that round, and there is no doubt, Rose, Namajunas still champion and have truly beaten Zhang Weili the favorite of bookies, Rose Namajunas is a true winner here, and I got to admit even though she had lost the fight Zhang Weili still delivers a great performance.

Marlon Vera Def Frankie Edgar

We can see that Marlon Vera is unscathed by Edgar truly he is a more technical fighter than Frankie Edgar, and that KO kick was really tremendous, Vera surely deserves this win and will continue on supporting him and when he fights Stake.com will surely double your winnings.

^ Indeed one of the best fights as far as main card is concerned. I have no issue with how it was scored but there are some who argue that Covington won three rounds. He's probably the toughest Usman fought when defending the title to date but still not enough. Who do you think has the real chance of dethroning the current champ? Chimaev?

Too bad for Edgar losing by KO again. He probably wants to redeem himself next and I know that he could still fight but I think he should just coach younger fighters and pass on his skills.

Great fights as expected, Rose Namajunas and Weili Zhang fought really well and it was a really close fight and the only weakness for Weili Zhang is that she needs to improve her ground game from the back. Kamaru Usman and Colby Covington was a bit crazy as Colby Covington was tough enough to come back till the final bell even though he was dropped twice in the second round.

Justin Gaethje and Michael Chandler went to war, i was betting for a stoppage but unfortunately it went the decision Cry.

I love Weili's style. She walks everybody down, is not afraid to stay in the pocket, and has a fantastic killer instinct. What's interesting about Weili, is that I have never seen fear or doubt in her at any time, during any of her fights. She seems to have supreme confidence.
Rose Namajunas is a technical good fighter and she finished Weili Zhang when they first meet and i am not expecting a different result even though there is a lot of hype behind Weili Zhang because she is training under some well known coaches and may be we might see a new champion but i am expecting Rose Namajunas to be on point and avoids the take down.

Placed small bets mainly going with Rose Namajunas, Colby Covington, Alex Pereira. I want to enjoy this card as there are really good fights, so no huge bets this time.

I think this is the main reason behind Weili Zhang being the betting favorite.

Jessica Andrade showed Rose Namajunas being vulnerable in the wrestling department.

Big bets dropped on Zhang are gambling that she can recreate Andrade's wrestling success.

But it has been said that Weili Zhang brought in other specialist coaches aside from Henry Cejudo.

There is a chance Weili's stand up and MMA kickboxing has also improved along with her wrestling and grappling.

^  I got Weili Zhang at the current line.  She was a bigger favorite at the first match and now it’s almost a coin flip at the rematch?  We didn’t even learn a lot from the first match.  Weili could’ve won if Namajunas’ kick didn’t land for all we know.

And Weili has been training at Fight Ready under Eddie Cha and Henry Cejudo.  Expect to see some improvements...

I second this. After the first match I stood by the idea that Weili beats Rose 9 out of 10 times. Seeing as we didn't see much of Weilis performance in the first fight, can't say if a new training camo will improve her, but it can't hurt. Weili is coming into this more pissed off then before and that could giver her a slight advantage.

Rose vs Zhang WeiLi
Not sure why rose is still the underdog . As we clearly see , she 'outmatch' ZhangWeiLi on last match. ZhangWeiLi is all-rounded ,but the mentality is already broken ( feel like might be the same with Paulo Costa) . Go to different camp for this fight . a huge no-no for me.
I wouldn't say she was outmatched, she just walked into pretty much the first significant contact of the fight, that happens sometimes. I'm expecting a much tougher outing for Rose this time, and I think I would agree that Zhang is the favourite going into the fight. Rose is a fan favourite, and it's sometimes quite hard to remove that bias, but Zhang has been brilliant for a long time, and I expect her to be a little more switched on tonight, and respect Rose's power a little more.

Frankie Edgar vs Vera
Vera is a great fighter , but don't see him winning this match against edgar. (if edger give his 100% on this match). But personally will bet on Vera even Edgar is the better fighter here . Might see an upset

it will surely be upset when Marlon Vera could win this, well yes Frankie Edgar surely has a winning advantage but my bet will go with Vera, in my opinion, I think Marlon Vera is ready for this and has a technical analysis on what he might do with Frankie Edgar, that is how I am predicting this fight.

For me, I think Zhang Weili's mentality is still intact, and not like Paulo Costa that still says that he won against Adesanya Zhang Weili is aware of Rose Namajunas strength that is why she is finding some solution to Rose Namajunas, but apparently having a new style will not surely going to help her, that is why Rose Namajunas will still win this.

Usman vs Covington
Well, Usman surely is better fighter here , dont see how he will lose to covington. The striking power is improve since the their last meet-up.

Covington has a tendency of can really win against Usman, Because Usman doesn't prioritize his defense, but I think the lack of power with his striking is really there, and Kamaru Usman tends to adapt to the situation and can change the offensive patterns that win him their first match.

Well this ufc main event is surely 1 of the best for the year.

Main Event ( My Prediction )

a small prediction on this

Trevor Wittman student will win everything . He will get MVP coach again.

for Justin vs Chandler:
Based on his last match , he dont really have a durability to strike with justin. Justin will get TKO win in r2.

Shane vs Billy
Personally love Shane, the momenutum for him is unstoppable .

Frankie Edgar vs Vera
Vera is a great fighter , but don't see him winning this match against edgar. (if edger give his 100% on this match). But personally will bet on Vera even Edgar is the better fighter here . Might see an upset

Rose vs Zhang WeiLi

What do you think about Frankie Edgar vs Marlon Vera fight. Seems that we have completely missed these two guys or barely talk about them. Frankie used to be a star, but looks like the star has went out. Frankie is a former champ, and now barely fits in the main card.

I am completely missed with chicks fighting. Never watch an entire fight. Namajunas is going to beat Weili? This is a title fight. What should I expect? Should I see blood, tactics and KO? Or should I switch tv to another channel while they fight ? (p.s. I dont like women fights at all).

Frankie Edgar will win with a split decision hehehe. Also the raging bull Al Iaquinta will be another win with a decision, maybe also another split. UFC 268 is in Madison Square Garden, New York. Frankie Edgar and Al Iaquinta are fighters from New York. You reckon they will lose easily in front of their people? They will win this hehehe.

For me Marlon Vera is the one I am looking out for, rising to be a star, but still needs to prove himself, and that very convenient fight with O'Malley have surely gained him something, and I totally think it is not just dumb luck that O'Malley's legs just wobble that way, and Marlon Vera is saying that he really did targeted O'Malleyin kicking his thighs, and right now stake has a promotion with the UFC 268 offering double your winning with all main card fights, including the Marlon Vera VS Frankie Edgar fight.

I really think that Zhang Weili doesn't know whats the right thing to do with Namajunas, getting training outside her camp and gaining different styles may surely cause her even more, in my opinion, in not stick with her own style and not hone it properly may eventually backfire at her.

Live weigh in show is live right now.  This should be fun.  I’m very curious how Jordan Williams will look on the scale.  He’s a natural 185’er going down to 170 and has not been doing very well at the lower weight class.  But his current line could be an over adjustment cos of his loss vs Mickey Gall..  He’s one of the underdogs I’m looking to put some action on.  And he’s taking on guy who’s having his first UFC match.

UFC 268 Picks

Kamaru Usman vs Colby Covington 2

A rematch that I think Colby Covington deserves, but aside from that I really think Colby will be having a hard time with Usman, and back in their previous fight I think that Colby Covington won the 1st 2 rounds, but I could say both fighters can go beyond the distance, there will be no problem when it comes to their Cardio but the notable thing I have seen with Kamaru Usman is he never put much effort with his defense but gives more in his offense, or he surely focuses on his offense, and not the defense department, I think this is a window opportunity for Colby Covington, from their last fight that 2 rounds win for Covington was prominent that he can win against Usman, but apparently enter the 3rd round and the tables have been turned, because Kamaru Usman has Changed his offense instead of a straight right in the face, he shifted to body shot's that eventually slowed down and pressured Covington, I really think that Covington is a technical fighter, but Usman is one tough bastard to crack, with a power punch that can hit like a truck,

Kamaru Usman opens up to 1.33 odds and Colby Covington has 3.55 for the odds at stake.com, I think Kamaru Usman is all the way will win this and history can repeat itself.

Rose Namajunas vs Zhang Weili

I have gathered some information from their last fight and I will be judging from that fight, I think that Rose Namajunas was really awesome on what she did to Zhang Weili, and many have expected that Weili will be the dominant fighter over Namajunas, but I think Rose Namajunas has excellent speed his moving side to side that Weili doesn't really read, and base from that fight Rose is a flexible fighter Weili thinks that Namajunas will throw a body kick but eventually Namajunas had shifted very quickly into a high kick, I think Namajunas is at her advantage because of her background on the Taekwondo department she is very flexible in changing those kicks, and Weili is not used with an opponent with that kind of speed and flexibility, because she is used in Muay Thai kind of style of a fighter, I say to you Namajunas is a badass of a fighter, and I think many were not seeing how great of a fighter she is because stake.com odds, Namajunas with 2.02 and Weili with 1.87 a very close odds, but my take will be Rose Namajunas.

^  Yeah but he’s mostly a striker when he transitioned to MMA at WSOF then the UFC.  This could be not really be a good comparison but Khabib got Gaethje to the ground eaasy.  Sure Chandler ain’t no Khabib but Chandler is a decent enough wrestler.  Could even be better than Gaethje.

Usman by TKO, I just can't see Colby bringing anything more than their last fight, and I would say that Usman has significantly improved since then. So, I think it'll be a relatively easy night for him. I'm actually fancying Weili Zhang in the rematch, I think losing how she did last time will be a big motivator going into this fight, and Rose might just take the foot off the pedal now she has achieved what she wanted. Marlon Vera all day long I'd say, so that probably means he'll lose. Also, I'm going with Justin Gaethje by tko.

I'm very excited for the Andreas Michailidis vs Alex Pereira fight, I think that's going to be an absolute banger of a fight. I'm not sure which way it's going to go either.

Yeeaah I’m back and forth with Usman and Covington.  I feel like the line should be closer but it could also be a decent spot for a live bet after R1 on Usman...  And get a better price.  R1 is going to be Covington.

Yeah, I wouldn't put the Khabib takedown comparison with anyone. His takedown skills were second to none, even though he had much better cage wrestling than when the fight was mid octagon. But with Gaethje even being a really good wrestler himself, I was never amazed by that skillset when it came to his fights. And I kinda think Chadler will take advantage of it.

@notblox1. Agreed. It appears everyone is still underestimating Thug Rose hehehe. She is the champion and she again is the underdog? How many fights must she prove that she is the best?

Another underestimated fighter is clearly Frankie Edgar. Everyone will need another reminder similar to Glover Teixeira hehehehehe.

UFC is finally back in NYC Madison Square Garden!
Just checking the odds and I like the odds on Namajunas to win, as bookies set Zhang Weili as slight favorire this time.
Michael Chandler is also underdog and I am taking him to him at those juicy odds, and Usman should be sure win but odds are very low.
UFC 268 press conference just finished with Usman, Covington, Namajunas, Zhang, Gaethje, Chandler and Dana White speaking, but you can watch it again on yotube:
