Depending on the times, which I've yet to confirm I might not be able to catch some of the main card with the Fury Vs Wilder fight. This is probably the only time I've preferred a boxing fight over a UFC event, and the main reason for that isn't because I quite like Fury, but because I'm not really looking forward to this UFC event. I find the card quite weak, and while I'm sure there will be some decent fights in there, I think I'd rather watch the boxing with the crowd.

I will however try, and get some of my predictions out tomorrow or Saturday before it all kicks off. At the moment, I'm thinking that the Dern fight could go the distance, and with Dern at 7.00 for a decision win, that's quite appealing. I'll probably be going for that on the off chance that it makes the full rounds.

This might not reach the decision, I reckon. I predict Mackenzie Dern versus Marina Rodriguez will be more bloody and more action than Thiago Santos versus Johnny Walker hehehe. These women in their bikinis are more men than the men of the main event of last week.

Cool story about Mackenzie Dern returning back to MMA after he became a mother, here first fight was only four months after she had a baby and this was her only loss so far.
I am giving her advantage to win in fight against Marina Rodriguez and we may see full five round fight:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ID8VcJboOnw
Dern returning to MMA 4 months after gave birth is just cringe. But whatever, glad she is active with 3 fights in 2020 and now at least 2 in 2021. Others should take notes on the level of activity an upcoming fighter should have to keep remaining relevant in the promotion. With a win here she should be golden when it comes to rankings and could very well be in line to fight the loser of Weili / Namajunas.
I think it is normal to stop fighting when a female is surely giving birth but I sure like her will in return after she has given birth to Moa, and this fight could be a great fight and because it became the main event it could be an outstanding fight my take Mackenzie Dern is a pure Wrestling chick while Marina Rodriguez is a good striker, this could be a great fight to watch if what style would prevail, a pure striker vs a wrestler I could say Marina's striking could be interrupted by takedowns from Dern but if Marina has a good takedown defense she could withstand every takedown Dern throws at her, but still I am waiting for some opinions for me to take my pick.

The no. 6 ranked fighter plays the no. 4 ranked player, this will be an exciting match to watch.  Dern (11-1) is on a hot 4 winning streak and she will be wanting to make that 5 and Maria have also got a good stat of 14-1-2 and is on a two winning streak so far after beating Michelle Waterson in May. Both the fighters are very capable and Maria has got very good striking capability but I'd opt for Dern in this match.

Dern surely got a good background in wrestling with her style Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and with her 7 submission wins I think she is capable of taking down the good at striking Marina Rodriguez, my take this I really like Marina Rodriguez style with her striking and she outstrikes Michelle Waterson that is how good of a striker she is, but for me, I really like a Khabib style of game, so my pick will be Mackenzie Dern.

Francis Ngannou vs. Ciryl Gane

I know this is just announced and it is for the UFC 270 but I am totally excited for this fight, who is not right? and this clash is for the heavyweight title unification and I know this is going to be interesting matchups, a clash of strength VS technique so they are both special in opposite ways, and I really like both fighters, the Power and despite his massive structure still have those speed Francis Ngannou has the path to power while Cyril Gane relies on technique, his fight IQ, and speed so this is really an interesting matchup for the Heavyweight division the two best Heavyweights will surely clash, and I can not really hide my excitement.

I agree with you that heavyweight boxing match is looking more interesting than this weekend UFC card but I will still try to watch main event and few other fights.
Main event is classical grappling vs striking event and that is something always interesting to watch, and I like both sports MMA and boxing, so I often watch both of them.

Mackenzie Dern is a pretty tough woman, and I think she will continue her career even though she is now a mother, but I have some doubts about whether she will can ever win the fight and I'm sure four months is not enough time for a woman to recover the condition of her body after giving birth and if she gave birth normally it might not have a big effect, but if she gave birth surgically of course she is very at risk of getting injured if Marina Rodriguez continues to focus on attacking her surgical scars.

^  I can’t disagree.  Dern should win it and the books lined her to win it, but dunno..  I think Rodriguez is just that good of a striker to win the match.  And remember how Rodriguez was lined to be a 3 to 1 underdog vs Ribas?  Different story when leather starts getting thrown to the face.  It could happen again here.

I am really not interested in most of the fights for upcoming UFC event except maybe one fight in heavyweight category Alexander Romanov vs Jared Vanderaa.
I never watched any of this fighters, but Romanov has perfect 14-0 record with a nickname King Kong, now that must be interesting fight to watch.

News for Kevin Holland vs Kyle Daukaus rematch could happen very soon for UFC event on November 13!

I like Romanov too but his line is too deep.  A line like that at heavy weight feels kinda iffy to put some action on or put in parlays.  It could be a pie shitter.

Another interesting underdog pick for the event could be Tim Elliot.  Watch Elliot vs Royval at MMA Core if they have it.  Elliot lost but he is relentless.  I don’t think Nicolau could out last Elliot like Royval did.

Edit:  The books will make Daukas a slight favorite.

Elliot got a fan in me with his fight against Mighty Mouse. If I am not mistaking he should be a weight category havier but seems to cut every time, and that goes to his advantage. Always seemed he had a bright future but he was hot/cold after that Mighty Mouse banger.

Same as you, even I haven't watched a lot of these players but their stats seem interesting to me. Romanov has got a 14-0 scoreline where Venderaa has got a score of 11-5 with 5 KO's. The fight is supposed to happen on the 9th of October. I think I'll support Romanov in this fight and I'm pretty sure that he can hold his no loss stats and increase his win tally to 15.

The fight between Dern and Rodriguez will be the main battle at UFC Vegas 39 this weekend, both fighters are fighters who often fight using their Jiu-Jitsu skills, even though they are in different division classes, both fighters have a winning record that is not much different Mackenzie Dern (11-1-0) and Marina Rodriguez (14-1-2).
For female UFC fans, of course this fight will be highly anticipated, but for me personally I might miss it because honestly I prefer a fight between men than seeing two women hitting each other and crush their faces inside the octagon Grin.

In all honesty, I might skip this event altogether and just go for the casual results. Nothing here sparking my interest, even Dern, who I watched on occasion in BJJ competitions and I love seeing how they do in MMA matches, does little for me. I guess Tim Elliot is sometimes fun to watch. Actually, I wonder now in what accent will Dern talk this time, yeah, that seems intersting.

I also feel the same maybe I would just watch the main Event, Mackenzie Dern VS Marina Rodriguez fight I am really interested in who's the most fearsome cat, and also even though Dern lost to Amanda Ribas and Rodriguez got a TKO win on Ribas doesn't mean that Rodriguez could win this, Mackenzie Dern performance with Nina Nunes goes to show how she has evolved and change, but I think this is still a close fight but Marina Rodriguez for me still has the edge in my opinion but may look even further on this,

It is interesting to see that Kevin Holland VS Kyle Daukaus will surely have a rematch and I think really did a great job in giving a decision to the matter, and will surely love to see that match again, maybe I would now bet for Holland this time.

What you both are saying is correct, but I think that in few months people will forget that there is an unsettled business between Daukaus and Holland. As well as not many UFC psses will be bought this weekend.
I will add these two in my radar, just to know that their fight is not just another lane in the card.

There will always be some die-hard UFC fan who will buy the UFC pass in no time.  And people won't buy the pass to view every single game right? There is some high voltage game that attracts the viewership anyways, but it's handy to have the pass in your possession. You get those extra benefits for possessing the Ufc pass and so on.

You are right, people wont buy UFC pass just to watch one fight. But "Kevin Holland vs Kyle Daukaus" wont be main event of the evening. They wont be on a poster, saying "rematch".

I am really not interested in most of the fights for upcoming UFC event except maybe one fight in heavyweight category Alexander Romanov vs Jared Vanderaa.

Thanks. I think I'm gonna skip that event, but watch a replay of Romanov vs Vanderaa. I've googled Romanov - quite a donut Cheesy His record is nice, but most of his wins were in first rounds by submission and TKO, meaning all of his opponents were not on a high level. I would only count his UFC record 3-0. Aint that scary already.

I would say the UFC have purposely not put many big names on the card this weekend due to the Fury card, but that can't be the case since they had a banger of an event when Joshua was fighting who arguably has the bigger pull of casual fans of boxing.

While Holland was all class on the incident, Daukaus acting like an ass in his post-fight interview Grin It shouldn't have been ruled a no-contest he says. I don't know if he still feels that way after watching the replay and seeing how Holland landed on the ground face-first. How he still managed to stay conscious from that was impressive on its own.

Anyway, I haven't seen any announcement for a rematch yet.
I can't remember seeing the post match interview, so must have went for a toilet break or something. I'll have to look it up. I know he was clearly disappointed with the result, he looked good on the night leading up to it, but it was absolutely the right decision from the ref.  I know that Holland was saying just before the result to Daukaus that they should make the rematch soon, I believe he said even next week. Obviously, that hasn't happened, and wouldn't happen due to concussion rules, however I expect we'll see it somewhat soon.
