Countdown - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lEoQ1_ABZ-I

It looks like bookies are expecting a new champion this time. Ngannou is the slight favorite at 1.78 to Miocic's 2.04 on Betnomi. How do you see this fight? I think this is going to be another tactical fight for the champ. He'll avoid too many exchanges on the feet and control Ngannou on the fence or ground. I see another UD and still...

Interesting odds for the former champ Woodley too (heavy underdog at 3.10). I'm not taking away anything from Luque but his consecutive losses made bookies think he's unlikely to win. I'll have to watch more of their videos before deciding to bet on this one.

Fan favorite O'Malley is also bookies favorite at 1.31. They must be pretty confident his leg will hold up.

A better fight to watch would be the actual Miočić vs Ngannou first fight as it is telling of what both of them can offer and what adjustments they need to make. If I am not wrong, in the first fight Miočić was also the underdog. I don't mind them passing Ngannou, seems like a nice dude, but come on. Anyway, Stipe will probably have the same tactic as he did before, not because it worked, but because wrestling Ngannou as a plan A did not work well for other fighters. He maybe should not test his chin as he did in the first fight, but he will definitely box with him for some amount of time to see if Ngannou has any gameplan whatsoever.

Woodley seems as he has no interest in being in the octagon anymore, and Luque will just bring out the dullness of this fight. I'm starting to think that Wonderboy is the best counterpart to Woodley.

O'Malley will lose by knocking himself out. He just keeps on surprising me so I am done counting on his good performance anymore. I would like to see him with Garbrandt.

I think Khabib has been officially retired for a while, it was just Dana trying to hype up events, you know "if something special happens he may return". I believe the reasoning for Khabib was his mother asking him not to fight anymore, which although I did think there might be a slight possibility that Conor vs Khabib might happen again, that was quickly erased when Conor lost.
Dana thought he could pursued Khabib to return with huge offers and he had that confidence in him and so was the reason he was waiting and it was evident with every fight card he was trying his best to lure Khabib to fight one more time but he is a man of his words and i was expecting to see one more fight against GSP but it looks he will never return to fight.

For the next main event I've got Holland by TKO. I'll get the rest of my god awful predictions up tomorrow (seriously my last 2/3 weeks have been awful).
The hype of 5 fight winnings streak is gone, i was also expecting Holland to win but the wrestling was too much to handle.

This is probably one of my worst betting periods for me in some time, crazy Kevin Holland lost and not many people expected to see that including me.
Dana White even said that he think Holland had a mental breakdown during the fight  Cheesy

I wonder if I should play predictor game, if sportsbet.io is blocked at my country. And I’m kinda lazy and newbie to set/use vpn  Cheesy

What do you guys think about eye poking (previous week even for example)? O think ufc should think of changing gloves. Like Pride had. They cover almost all fingers lenght.

In my opinion, there will be a lot of issues when the fighters glove is curved, you can surely eliminate the eye-poking about a small percentage but you could also eliminate the fighters grabbing ability if the gloves are so much curve, I guess nothing is perfect and the eye-poking will still happen even if they would change gloves it could surely lessen it but there might be other issues that may occur.

Here are the full card results. Brunson out Brunsoned Holland, there is something satisfying when you let your opponent talk even when you are dominating him through the fight Cheesy Griffing seems to have his groove back on after a streek of decision losses. Did not see everything, did Tuivasa do the shoey again? The MVP of shoe drinking.

@Bttzed03. I was telling everyone. The Mouth was only another hyped UFC fighter similar to Edmen Shahbayzan who was another Derek Brunson victim hehehe.

It was a smart fight for Brunson as he maximized his superior grappling/wrestling skill instead of trading punches/kicks against Holland who had the upper hand on the feet. I don't know about you but I think this guy is one/two fights away for a title shot. I won't argue if he fights for the belt next.

All that Holland trash talk and still dominated by his opponent Grin He should start training under Khabib.

Damn it!
I am waiting for prelims to start and I just saw that co-main event Gregor Gillespie vs Brad Riddell is removed from fight card because of covid10 protocols Sad
One girl fighter Julija Stoliarenko collapsed earlier so we have  smaller fight card than expected, but we have exiting main event to wait for.

Wtf...  But I could see why the UFC brass chose Chandler.  They want him to be their next poster boy.  He speaks well, fights well and is from a blue collared, working class background..  The kind of guy who most could relate with.
It is not because Michael Chandler is the next poster that he put that fight together, actually he was the back up fighter during Khabib Nurmagomedov and Justin Gaethje and it makes sense to be in the title picture and in his next fight he stopped Dan Hooker in the first round. If working class background and blue collar was a benchmark for Dana Stipe Miocic would have been a super star by now as he is a full time fire fighter and the Heavyweight champion of the world and yet he is not promoted that much.

^ Those Pride gloves are improved version of Bellator gloves and both of them are better than UFC gloves, but I think UFC has some contract that is not allowing them to change glove design so easy.
New design will reduce eye pocking like it happened when Bellator changed their gloves.

^  Chandler is pretty smart and an articulate guy.  Watch McGregor vs Poirier pre fight press conference.

Anyway in case you guys want to play a free UFC predictor with prizes, jeremypwr and Sportsbet were nice enough to get one going.  It’s gonna be a weekly thing depending on interest.  So get in there guys...

So what you are telling me is that Chandler is Frankie Edgar 2.0? Cheesy I get that, and I agree why the UFC would push him forward aggressively as they have, they do not have that many relatable fighters in the top 5's in any division, at least not relatable like Edgar was. And to be fair, Chandler is an amazing fighter, I would just like him to have a much slower climb than this.

Khabib Nurmagomedov is officially retired and lightweight title is vacant, but he is still on ufc.com ranking as first on pound-for-pound and lightweight Smiley
Who do you think is going to take his place? Poirier/Gaethje/Chandled/Oliveira?
Also, while watching news, it was mentioned that Poirier gave up the belt for trilogy against McGregor. But his is not the champ? Where did he get this belt???

Yes it is finally confirmed and his final score is 29-0.
Everyone who follows fighting and boxing knows that comebacks are always possible in few years but I doubt this will be the case in Khabib case. Sad

^  All meh except for Khabib vs GSP for the name value.  McGregor and Ferguson are not the same fighters after Khabib and  Gaethje respectively.

I know I am starting to appear as the orderly news feed here, but here is some more news Smiley

I don't know if anyone posted this yet, if so, sorry

Glad Oliveira is getting his well-deserved shot, but come on, Chandler should have had one more fight before this. Not saying Chandler could not take it or does not deserve it, but for comparison, Demetrious Johnson had to first win a grand-Prix to be able to be a title challenger in ONE FC.

and Helwani has some scoop on McGregor-Poirier 3 https://twitter.com/arielhelwani/status/1372763404545323009

Edit:  A couple of small bets on Holland via sub at 13...  Mucho value imo.  And Bruno Silva at 2.3.

Damn! I just read on his instagram a while ago that Khabib has officially retired: https://www.instagram.com/p/CMlknwdMIO1/

My Dream matches got shattered  Cry

Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Tony Ferguson
Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Conor Mcgregor 2
Khabib Nurmagomedov vs George St. Pierre

I hope he will comeback in the octagon once there's a potential fighter that will dominate the division flawlessly and likely he'll be interested again.
