I think I would have liked Conor get a fight in with someone else before the rematch with Poirier. I know that Chandler has been quite vocal about fighting for a belt against Poirier, and honestly thought he might deserve it more. Conor, has been out a long time, and hasn't won in a long time now (simply because he's been doing other things). I know that Conor, and Khabib actually have been pushing their own fitness programs recently, so you'd expect Conor to keep on fighting if he didn't get this rematch right away, but then again Khabib is still doing it without the exposure of the UFC right now.
I'd still probably want Conor to win in the rematch, and we might see some better odds this time around making a punt worth it on him. If this does happen, then its the perfect time for Conor to show his commitment, despite many questioning it.
I think it's the best fight for him now. Who else could he fight that he's got a chance with? Conor looked good in the first round, he just got shook in the second so I think I'd probably back him to win the rematch. It's a fight I think he can easily win just like the first match-up. Then he can go onto more exciting fights but he shouldn't be jumping the gun and going for fights like Khabib right now (not that Khabib would agree to fight him right now anyway). He needs to prove he can beat Poirier though. I don't think either of them deserve title shots right now especially not McGregor.
Nobody buys Proper 12 because it cost a lot. This blend cost as much as decent single malt, which quality is way greater than Proper 12. Proper 12 is like Jack Daniels, but cost 20-30% more. I like how our local retailers increase Proper 12 price every time Conor fight, and add a discount
But thanks to Conor, now everyone tried to produce something. Dana White - Howlers head, Poirier - sous for example, Khabib - mobile carrier "Eagle Mobile".
I have never tried Proper 12, mainly because of the bad reviews, and also because of the very high price. Yes, I also noticed how before the fight of Conor the price rises and they make a discount. ) Conor is a good showman but it's just as good that he thinks on the future and producing a product that can support his future life. Only he would have to think about lowering the price, so that his whiskey would first become popular and everything is available and only after that raise the price a little. I think such a strategy would give a better result in sales.
It seems to be around the same price as Jack Daniels over here. As with any athletes they tend to retire fairly early so they're often out of work in their 30s so a smart one will diversify, especially one like as brandable as Conor as he's one of the biggest/most lucrative fighters in the world so it makes sense to promote other businesses whilst he has eyeballs on him and that way he'll continue to generate cash once he's out of the limelight or stepped away from fighting.
