Deiveson Figueiredo vs Brandon Moreno was amazing to watch five round championship battle and probably one of the best fights of year 2020!
If there wasn't low kick, eye pock, negative point, and stomach problems night before fight  for Figueiredo it would be his win and not a draw, but nobody complained about this decision, and everyone expects to see rematch in 2021.
Charles Oliveira got easy win against Ferguson, much easier than I expected, and overall this was fantastic event to watch.

The fight is about to begin is personally I took Tony and 3 exact rounds and I do hope it will be a spectacular fight between this two similar fighters. However, being the fact that the odd is 10 , I would expect a fight that will be over by decision.

@eaLiTy. However, after El Cucuy's painful loss in the fight vs. Justin Gaethje, this is giving the fans with more questions in his confidence and his skill. He was not only defeated, he was broken by Justin for the first time in his career.

I just watched  the Charles Oliveira vs. Kevin Lee fight and I thought Charles is quite flashy and has some chin as well. It's a pretty good match up for Tony Ferguson but I just don't know if he's good enough to avoid the takedown and submission attempts. I'm likely going to throw $10 at 2.37 for Charles here.
Charles Oliveira and Tony Ferguson always have entertaining fights and if you watched the fight against Kevin Lee who is known for his cardio you always know that he will fade away in the later rounds and that is what culminated to the submission in the third round. Tony Ferguson has stamina for many rounds and it will be a really interesting fight and i am expecting Tony Ferguson to win the fight and then the winner will face the champion and Khabib coming out of retirement for his last fight and i wish it should be Tony Ferguson Smiley.

UFC 256 turned out to be great fight card including main card and prelims staring with Chase Hopper vs Peter Barrett.
Hopper is favorite if we look at odds and he is having great record so far with nine wins and only one defeat against Alex Caceres.
We also have Junior Dos Santos vs Ciryl Gane, and it will be interesting to see how Dos Santos will fight against Gane after 3 loses.

Ciryl Gane has perfect 6-0 record and I think he will win but odds are low, so maybe bet with submission would be better but more risky.

Main and co-main events are just amazing.
Figueiredo is a beast, he was fighting only few weeks ago against Perez, he is ready now and I can see him winning today also.

Be ready for start for this event with countdown:

My prediction for the main card of UFC 256 Deiveson Figueiredo, Tony Ferguson, Ronaldo Souza.

I am expecting Deiveson Figueiredo to finish Moreno and expecting a really great fight between Tony Ferguson and Charles Oliveira and i am expecting Tony Ferguson to come on top.

Have to look at the earlier cards for my picks.

Israel Adesanya can eat food he wants to eat because he is probably going to move from middleweight to light heavyweight division at some point, and I think he is not fighting in next few months Smiley

Israel Adesanya is not resting but he worked a lot on his Jiu Jitsu and received a purple belt, and I am eager to see him in his new fight.

He is mixing Cheesy If you follow his https://www.instagram.com/stylebender/ and watch stories, you would see how much he eats junk food and drinks. I was rather shocked to seem him eating Asian food with pizza stake and beverages Cheesy His stomach will send him "Hello". Or he is gaining. Or he trains and losses so much calories, that he needs to eat such heavy food.

Very Busy indeed, Well my pick on the previous fight doesn't really look good I really need to keep on researching thoroughly for a great result but anyway it is good to see that Tony Ferguson is fighting again after that devastating defeat he suffers but again he is showing a great spirit in never giving up, but Still, we can not see a match between him and Nurmagomedov because Khabib has already retired but Kevin Lee had a plan that may lure Khabib Nurmagomedov out of retirement.

I really respect Khabib's decision but I am really hoping that he could change his mind about retiring and I would really want to see him fight again.

^  At 256 alone, I can think of three fighters to be given the sack in a couple of months or so:  JDS, Cub Swanson and Jacare.  At least Scott Coker is gonna be happy picking them up.

Anyway...  I just parlayed Cyril Gane and Fig at 1.60.  Chalky but safe.  Grin

Some break downs by Dan Hardy...  They're good.

According to multiple sources Yoel Romero just released from UFC contract after seven years, probably because of missing his drug tests like I wrote before or something even worse!

My opinion is that he was released due to 3 lost fight in a row. I've read long time ago that fighters got fire for 3 losses in a row, maybe this rules was applied to Yoel. Sad to see that he is already out of ranking. Maybe this is because he had already lost to top1-2 fighters, he is already 43 and who should he fight next? Get a series of wins to be able to fight for a belt once again? As he had 1-2 fight per year, this might take him to long to get an opportunity for a title fight. How many title shot he had lost already? 3 (intermit and championship with Whittaker, and one with Adesanya). Dana White once said that "nobody wants to fight Yoel Romero". I wonder why, he is a nice guy that fights clean.

https://mmajunkie.usatoday.com/2020/12/ufc-news-rachael-ostovich-released

One more fighter cut from UFC and this time that is Rachael Ostovich we recently saw losing her fight, and Dana White is keeping his word on cleaning the roster and Joel Romero and we can expect to see 60 more fighters released.
Who is next on the live to be released? Anyone wants to have closed fun bet? Smiley

Fight Karl Roberson vs Dalcha Lungiambula is also canceled because of positive covid testing...again, and that fight is postponed.
We saw this so many times so I am waiting for the last day before talking for sure who will really fight.
Dana White and friends are having much headaches and things to combine Smiley

Agreed. UFC 256 was very much different when it was announced. I reckon Kamaru Usman vs. Gilbert Burns is the biggest cancellation.

Tony vs. Charles - the one with a tougher skull is going to win this fight because it's going to be another bloodshed. Tony already lost that "invincible" aura and I hope he's well conditioned in this fight. If he wins, great! he could be ready for a title shot. If he loses, no more excuses like problematic weight cut.
Tony Ferguson was not an undefeated fighter, whenever he lost he came back and rectified his mistakes and went on a tear for years until he got defeated recently. It is true that there are fighters who has an undefeated record and once he gets defeated he will never be the same fighter and this fight against Charles Oliveira will determine whether he can return for another title contention or will fade away.

^  Nope, more like Dana was desperate and offered him money and a UFC deal for his brother.  Dana lost Nunes vs Anderson and Yan vs Sterling.  That's supposed to be the main event and the co main for 256.

And Angela Hill got covid so she's out and Andrea Lee is out too due to injury.

Fighters who are under the radar to watch for this event are Fiziev, watch his bout vs Diakeise.  His kicks to the body crack like lightning in the arena.  Billy Q is good.  And Cyrl Gane, who's prolly the future of UFC HW imho.

I guess Janiroba is somebody to watch out for...  I'm not sure why she's the underdog.  And I hope Kevin Holland performs well.  He's always fun to watch.

Yes they do.  They suspend and fine fighters and over turn their wins to no contests.  They did it to Nick Diaz.
The USADA has relaxed the rules, after the second Conor McGregor fight Nate Diaz smoked CBD (Cannabidiol) right after the fight and he was vaping during the post fight interview and he did not get a suspension and there was a controversy after that because his brother Nick Diaz was suspended for 5 years prior for smoking Weed and then they decided they will allow fighters to use CBD after the competition. Now the rules are more relaxed than before and you can use Marijuana but not on the day of the fight but outside competition they will not suspend the fighters.

The NSAC or whoever still fines fighters and over turns wins to no contests for weed.  Look it up.  Niko Price was the latest one.  Not sure about CBD tho.

Edit:  To get you guys into it.  Wink

Flyweight: Deiveson Figueiredo (c) vs. Brandon Moreno
Lightweight: Tony Ferguson vs. Charles Oliveira
Props to Fig for taking up fights again after defending his belt just recently. He must be so bored at home or that he just want to collect more money (including fight of the night bonus).
