I hope you guys have won your bets if you bet on Mike Perry. I liked the fight, it was emotional to see Mike Perry's girlfriend in his corner.

Where do I put the ice? She says.

i am going with Mickey Gall simply because of the odds and because of his ground skills.
The only reason for his heavy favorite for Mike Perry is simply because the biggest introduction to UFC for Mickey Gall was against CM Punk and then against Sage Northcutt who was a hype train created by the UFC because of his looks and athleticism and Gall could defeat them easily but then the myth behind Sage Northcutt was busted as he started loosing against mid level fighters and the only high performance of Mickey Gall is against these two novice fighters and he lost a couple of fights in between and Mike Perry is a knockout artist and even though he is not in his best form for several fights all the pundits expect the fight to end as a knockout in favor of Perry.

Only few hours left for start of next UFC event.
To prepare you can watch interesting interview with Dan Hooker with Ariel Helwani as he talk about how he got US visa
and his expectations to finish Dustin Poirier and win the fight.

Made a bet for the over 1.5 for Perry vs Gall at 2.02 now...  Line went low a bit.  So that's that, the over 2.5 for the main event at 1.84 and the round betting for Poirer at 4 and 5 or by decision for this event.
I am a bit confused with Mike Perry and Mickey Gall fight, why is Mike Perry the heavy favorite when he lost 5 of his last 7 fights and he is claiming in all the pre fight interviews that his girlfriend will be in the corner for this fight which is really crazy but i do not understand the odds and why he is such a heavy favorite, i am going with Mickey Gall simply because of the odds and because of his ground skills.

Poirier vs. Hooker

Preview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QgkMnZPqb_U
Weigh in: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ogkCXu4yxFs
Faceoffs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJg_LuRLD-M

Nice to see everyone on weight this time. I still find it awkward seeing them in masks during faceoffs  Grin

I'm gonna sit on this one. No particular pick but I would like Poirier to win.

I just found out that Alexander Gustaffson is coming back as a Heavyweight to face Fabricio Werdum on July 25. No wonder I saw a picture of him circulating in social media the other day and he looked out of shape.

The other fight you should look forward is Mike Perry where is coming into this fight with no coaches and his girlfriend will be in the corner  Cheesy.
This looks crazy but still Mike Perry is the favorite in the fight and Mickey Gall is a heavy underdog, i assume that Mike Perry did not train enough for this fight as he is not having a coach in his corner and yet why is he a big favorite in this fight, is there something i am missing. I have seen Mickey Gall fight but that was against CM Punk and Sage Northcutt but then he lost two fights in that period, so i am not sure what to take about this situation.

Anyway here's the vid.  There's not much info in this one tho.

Only Poirier from the main card is familiar to me. Maybe you could advice some fights that will be exciting to watch and I should not miss them?

Nope.  Not much advice from me except the over 2.5 rounds.  Even Rent Free MMA doesn't have a serious pick except for Poirier ML which the Puertorican already made last week at the good price at 1.59ish.  Let's wait for JanpriX's picks.  Smiley

I did decide to gamble small on Poirier to win at round 4 at 11.41, at round 5 at 14.11 and by decision at 3.64 since he's so confident.  Smiley

What do you guys think about the over 1.5 at 2.06 for Perry vs Gall?  Gall's mostly a wrestler, BBJ guy.  So he could prolly hold Perry off for a couple of rounds...

if Tyson gets knocked out he gets knocked out as this is his wish to test his animal instincts at 53 years and anyone who loves Tyson does not want to see him fight and that includes Dana White but Tyson is not willing to hear their advice.
This is exactly the reason many of Mike Tyson fans does not really want to see him fight again at 53, i have seen many legendary boxers in the past having life long disability like Muhammad Ali and the damage you might get to the brain will be huge even for charity.

Here are a couple of tapes to watch.  I think Poirier's gonna win...  But his line is so deep now so I bet on the over 2.5 rounds at 1.84 a couple of days ago.  I think it's gonna go the distance since both are rangey fighters.
Dustin Poirier and Dan Hooker will be a stand up battle and over 2.5 rounds is a good bet and it is going to be a great battle and the winner could challenge Conor McGregor and if Dustin Poirier wins it could be a good rematch and yet another high earning match for the UFC as Dustin Poirier has improved a lot from his first fight with Conor.

Lightweight fight Dustin Poirier with Dan Hooker should be interesting to watch.
Odds are in favor of Poirier but I will be picking Hooker as a winner.
Hooker has small reach advantage and can fight good from orthodox and southpaw.

Poirier is the only well known. But while I watch that Hooker vs Feldman, Hooker seems like a calculated fighter. He knows what he is doing and with long arms for his advantage, it can pretty much be a good fight against Poirier. The rest in the card will be puzzling for a bettor to go. I would likely give it a go to underdogs for 0.05ETH or maybe lesser.

Poirier to win by decision at 4.59 at FJ could be good imo.  Let's wait for the Rent Free MMA guys' and JanpriX's break downs.

Sparring clips of 10 to 15 seconds will not prove anything but he might stand a chance against MMA strikers for charity events even at 53 years of age but i would like to see against similar retired boxers who are still training.
These small clips will not prove anything but Tyson is not talking about fighting professionally at this age, his idea is to make some quick money for charity and he is looking for opponents that could raise the maximum amount of money, if Tyson gets knocked out he gets knocked out as this is his wish to test his animal instincts at 53 years and anyone who loves Tyson does not want to see him fight and that includes Dana White but Tyson is not willing to hear their advice.

If you are talking about Jon Jones and his punching power and facing Mike Tyson then it is not a big worry but you cannot compare every MMA striker and Francis Ngannou or Stipe Miocic could knock any active boxers and Miocic is a golden glove champion.
With age reflex goes down and i am also impressed by the videos of Tyson sparring but it is not wise to fight an active top fighter even for charity.
Jon Jones is trolling online and i do not think that he will take a charity fight with a 53 year old Tyson, Tyson offered $100 million for Jon Jones and he just said he is listening and with the battle against Dana White regarding the pay, it is all about trolling and having fun during corona. Despite that if anyone says that Tyson will not last three rounds against a MMA fighter for charity is a joke.

Here is the clip of Tyson sparring at 53 years of age. The speed and punching power is not to be messed even at this age and against a MMA striker he will have a chance even at this age.

I haven't seen it as it doesn't seem to have show up on youtube yet, but I have respect for the guy. A lot of fighters don't know when to quit or throw in the towel, even when they're struggling to walk back to their corner or get back up from it between rounds. If you know you're defeated, mentally, physically or both then there's not much point walking out just so you can get knocked down. I liked Dana's response to the situation as well. Hopefully he'll give him another shot at some point.
The head coach Robert Drysdale gave an interview detailing the event and claims he was beating top 5 UFC fighters in gym and Rohskopf was broken mentally in the second round as he used to always dominate the opponent in the gym and during fights and in this situation when the second round became tough he was mentally broken and wanted to quit and he signed for the fight with a 10 day fight camp. If the fighter is not willing to continue the coaches should stop the fight as it will bring more damage and hopefully the UFC will allow him to fight with a full camp and see how he will fair in the UFC.

Very immature statement from you.
Be serious please before you write something like this  Undecided
Comparing prime fighter in top shape with granpa Tyson.
Charity, streetfight or bar fight, he is not able to do it anymore, or he can with someone of his age or in WWE like he did recently.
Do you seriously think that Mike Tyson who was a well decorated boxer and by watching his short clips he is sharper and faster than any normal 53 year old and do you think Tyson will not be able to fight Jon Jones in a boxing match and that too for charity for 3 rounds  Roll Eyes. Let me make this clear, Jon Jones is a great MMA fighter but if he faces a boxer for pure boxing match then Jon Jones will not win as it is a different art altogether as there is a major difference between MMA striking and boxing and with that in mind i do not think it will be much of a threat, i do not want to see Tyson or any old boxer taking on a young boxer who has dedicated his life to boxing but MMA striker no problem for Tyson even at 53 years of age.

Mike Tyson had the itch to fight again and he wants to do it for charity so that he can raise money to help people and if Jon Jones wants to be the dance partner in boxing i do not see any problem as both are grown ass men and they know what they are doing and i have seen the training videos of Mike Tyson and the speed and the punching power he has at 53 years of age is incredible and it is going to be an exhibition match for 2 or 3 rounds at the most and you think Mike Tyson will not stand against Jon Jones for three rounds.
Very immature statement from you.

Personally i would like to see a 3 round charity fight with head gears with Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield as Holyfield also said he is willing to do a charity fight to raise money, no way i want to see any active fighters but i feel that Tyson could school many active heavyweights but lets have this a fair charity event rather than feeding anyone's ego.
That would be great charity to see.
I hope they have ear protectors this time  Grin

And I agree Jon Jones is just trolling and getting back to Dana White.
