Most people are investing only in Bitcoin and it is reasonable. ICOs/STOs are collecting peanuts and struggling to collect even their softcap. IEOs are not so profitable anymore, so I believe the majority is just holding their coins.
bitcoin is now a good investment compared to trying to invest in new projects. new project trends have not returned, if to invest in it at this time it is not right indeed I prefer investing in bitcoin or altcoin with top rankings

Most people are investing only in Bitcoin and it is reasonable. ICOs/STOs are collecting peanuts and struggling to collect even their softcap. IEOs are not so profitable anymore, so I believe the majority is just holding their coins.
Investing on cryptocurrencies went to the peak during this year even when there is not much of growth happening. The present year took the market reach next level of adoption in terms of marketcap. On the whole when we calculate the entire number of participants, it is very small. Maybe less than 5% are into cryptocurrency investing, hope the number counts with time.
In 2017 and early 2018 lots of investment has done in crypto project most of the project failed to deliver what they promised . Some projects raised the fund and disappeared some became scam . Most successful project like HERO They claimed backed by alibaba raised more than 45 million dollar they just exist in Hitbtc that too even low volume . It was the greed from both side investor as well as ICO project lead to this huge losses. Investors wanted quick profit by investing in crypto project and ICO project wanted raise quick money .
I think investors are still interested in cryptocurrency. in my opinion cryptocurrency is still the best investment than stocks or gold. it's just that now investors no longer trust new projects. because many new projects are scam. so that now investors trust and invest more in bitcoin. so that at present many ICO or IEO projects cannot reach softcap because they do not have investors.
In fact there are still many people who invest in crypto, but they do not participate in the form of ICOS and IEO, and they do not invest in new projects. But they prefer to invest directly in Bursa by buying old altcoins like ETH, LTC, BCH and BNB.
Investors now are aware this massive scams of many projects. that's why they already learn the mistake of others from participating on newly projects. I think this upcoming 2020 those projects that will victim investors will be difficult to deceive them because now we saw that a lot of people are learning so there are no chance that scam projects will increase. the rate of users victim will decrease so basically the good reputation of cryptocurrency will back again. hopefully this will go on and many will not believe to scam projects that are coming out.
Recently i am waiting bitcoin price and binance coin drop again before start my Investment in crypto market again. Its still look sexy if we know when best moment and price . we know in crypto currency we see to many drama and fud thats caused price crash. Actually it represent on inventors interest to buying bitcoin or altcoin so they do anything to get lowest price
Binance coin BNB, dropped today, its a great coin which I buy a lot of to convert it from BNB/CAN CanyaCoin on binance dex. https://www.binance.org/en/trade/CAN-677_BNBOf course, Canyacoin is not listed in any other exchange because of buying Canyacoin you can also buy them with the Bitcoin which is listed in the other exchanges. If you are good about Binance coin better hold the Binance coin instead of converting them with another coin.
Investors are now diversifying their portfolio into trading bitcoin, ethereum, BCH, these are well established cryptos that are very profitable in a long run unlike the already moribund ICOs or IEOs that had become a fraudulent ways or methods by which project developers scam investors, I believed, the era of investing and earning good profits in ICOs is gone for good, although the over all bearish trend of the crypto market had not been helping matters hopefully the turnaround of the market might create another opportunity for ICOs.

There are lots of investment aside from the cryptocurrency. Maybe they put their money into real state, stocks, time deposit mutual fund, or the traditional investment before this. Maybe who knows, but I think if they earned a lot from the last season of crypto. They will buy back those huge coins since the market now is down and this is a perfect opportunity again for them to invest.

Others would rather buy after the ICO/IEO project has been listed in an exchange rather than invest blindly when they know in most cases prices tank after listing.

This year, there are very few new options for investors so I am sure this year the market will continue to maintain the downtrend. It is not difficult to guess where investors in this market are putting their money, the answer is bitcoin, bitcoin is the only coin we can be completely sure it will have some value in the future, after trying their luck with icos and ieos for years and not getting results investors are using whatever money they have left to invest in bitcoin and only in bitcoin, I am sure those holding altcoins do not like this one bit but it was inevitable taking into account the terrible performance of icos over the years.
Many did transfer their money into bitcoin. There are still people that stick to investing ICO and IEO. Some others leave the crypto market. There are many investment options out there, like forex, gold and resources, stocks and many more. I think next year will be another good year for bitcoin and other solid altcoins. Well from my prespective the interesr of investor on cryptocurrency is low. Maybe they looking other sector to gain some money. The hype of cryptocurrency end in 2017 after that so many scam and fail ico. Because of that investor start losing their interest on cryptocurrency.
The rise of cryptocurrency is just getting started and in the next few years many will be using crypto for p2p transactions, its already happening so i belief we will see more crypto adopters and investors in few more years
