all my decred crashed an I am loaded with rejects I switched to  pascal

anyone have the decred reject issue.

Hey Phil, sorry I can't help on this... both my 6-card rigs doing ETH + DRC are running fine. I usually run about 1% rejects but have never seen it eclipse 2%.  However, note that I am mining directly to decredpool and not to NH, so that could be the issue on your side.  It might be worth trying decredpool or suprnova for decred though if NH is indeed the issue... because right now, with DCR between $5-$6 and Pasc still stuck under 20 cents, I believe DCR is probably 3-5x more profitable to mine than Pasc.  It was a close toss-up back when DCR was at or under $2 but it's now up 2-3x while Pasc is about the same. might be worth a try anyway

What is more profitable today?

ETH@$32 or DASH@$100?

Is anyone using RX4xx for DASH?  What is the profitability per day?

Dash is mined with Asics

Baikal$$$ !

No use mining using GPU, its just too small of hash and takes too much power compared to ASICs.

I have experimented with RX480 rig before, using sgminer v5.5, use -k x11 algorithm to mine.

RX480 x 6xGPU rig at best 50MHs, vs smallest model Baikal 150MHs Asics miner selling just under 500$

Citronik... where are you seeing those Mini's available for under $500?  I've been searching the past week and the lowest I've seen them is around $700.

On another somewhat related note, i just ran a whattomine query for the algo's that the mini supports and MonetaryUnit (MUE) under Quark algo is showing as almost 40% more profitable to mine currently than even Dash.  Not sure I will switch over yet but seems to be at least worth looking into.

I have seen Minis selling 350$, 400$ around there by US sellers as recent as Christmas last year -- I guess resellers must have jacked up the price x2..... those vultures. Get in touch with "bittawn" - I know he is selling but I don't know the pricing.

On MUE.... IMHO, the first rule to mining at Nicehash is collect BTC and no loyalty to any coins (except BTC).

Quark and Qubit are very "complex" algorithms -- very few coins under these algos. But I suggest you stick to X11 because the pay rate will be likely "very high" and sustained longer -- while unknown coins tends to have short burst to fame then fades out quickly. I dont really monitor which coins is profitable because Baikal takes care of that in the auto-switch settings.

In this "good times" in crypto currency world, its good to be a rentor, since we get paid in BTC upfront as a hash seller (lol), not a miner (ie. mine, wait confirmation, sell at exchange, get BTC, transfer to own wallet.... isnt that just to long).

Thanks for the insight... I think i will just stick with Dash for the 1 mini i currently have.  I will contact "bittawn" and see what he is selling mini's for.  Word has it that Baikal will be pushing out another batch in mid_April but I have to get direct confirmation on that or any of the details... like adjusted price, pre-order locking etc.

In NH, I think when hash is over demand, it will be rejected.... decred hash oversold in NH?

With ETH so good, I prefer to push the rig to do 100% ETH with maximum -ethi 16

Any got a good switch link for there network?
Mine kicked the bucket finally after 10 years
Used is fine. Would like 100/1000/10000 it runs my whole house network

I think Gigabit is more than enough for the whole house.

The key thing is design of your network and where to place Gigabit and non-Gigabit switches to have a good balance and cost-effectiveness. Everything Gigabit for example is really an overkill and expensive.

For my farm, I recently upgraded my master switch to Gigabit and all the other 2nd-layer-switches to Gigabit (there are some 100base which I still use because it serves the purpose like the X11 Baikal farm).

Master Switch: NETGEAR ProSafe™ 24 Port Gigabit PLUS Rackmount Switch**
connects to 5 zones in my warehouse. Its a managed switch so it has plenty of features like which packet or prot number has first priority etc.

Zones 1, 2 - Non RX GPU rigs (390s, R9-Nanos), 2 x 16 port LINKSYS Gigabit switch*

Zones 3, 4 - RX GPU rigs (RX480s), 2 x 16 port LINKSYS* & NETGEAR Gigabit switch**

Zone 5 - X11 Baikal Farm spread over 24port x 3 = 48 ports (CISCO 10/100 switches)*

3 x development rigs, 2 x workstations, Teamviewer PCs connects directly to master switch.

**NETGEAR is newly installed. *LINKSYS and CISCO previous life but still good working condition.

I have fibre broadband at home and also at warehouse.

The sept 2013 btc price was 90 something the dec 2013 price got to 1100

So eth was 9 I would love to see it rise to 110.

By May 1.

Oh I can see all coins' moving to highs for the next few months.

Hoping to pull in some solid coins.

Glad you guys followed my advise selling at Nicehash and get BTC upfront, and cut the mining pool BS.

However, keep monitoring esp ETH payrates; and when to swicth back to ethpool.

ZEC, XMR and X11, better stick to Nicehash as a long term solution -- the ZEC pools are not reliable in payouts -- something funky going on there.

The high payrates on X11 at NH seems to reflect that X11 ASICs are out of stock worldwide -- so everyone is renting... reminds me of crazy SHA256 renters.

Times are good for us right now. Grin

I was not altcoin/GPU mining when the R9 Nano/Fury came onto the scene.  Did it "just work" with the mining software?  Did it take a while to extract the most out of the updated chip architecture?

I'm just thinking ahead to the RX 500s/RX Nano/Fury that are coming out later this quarter.  Is it worth jumping on right away or wait till the mining software "catches up".

Lack of availability of hardware and markup above MSRP will most likely be cold water on our parade.  (Did I get that cliche right?)  May make sense to wait???

go for preorder or two.  but  do not jump in whole hog.

I have all rx 470's and 480's  I reduced a bit to be ready for expansion.

My 28 cards are whaling

I am making 56 usd a day  2 dollars a card.

every 9 days I pay off 2 cards including my power costs.

So in 90 days 20 cards will be paid off.

In 126 days all 28 cards will be paid off.

and I am not counting the money they all ready earned.

I'm lucky enough to live in a city with a MicroCenter.  I'll buy as many as I can there.

Yes, it's good times as of late.  I followed your advice I got way back last year.  I've been instant selling half my ETH and banking the other half.  I couldn't resist, i finally sold about half my stock pile since ETH is $30+.

Eth got really hot.  don't know how long it will do well, but I am glad you made some extra by holding some of it.

I think I will drive to the nearest microcenter when they release.
I have a lot of empty slots waiting for cards.

I am making more money now with the 28 cards then when I had 42 cards. Grin

coin mining is like that.

Never worry  that you only made half a loaf  as ½ is better then none.

im making almost 30$ a day at nicehash selling eth hash its crazy!!!!!!!!!

The last 48 hours ..... I had to calm down my group because the for the first time, the non-BTC farms have surpassed the BTC farm in daily income!!!

I am glad I didn't sell off my R9 Nano Fury -- it is absolutely a ZEC killer mining machine, because of the high 64 compute cores and HBM memory. The big brother of this card is R9 Fury X; which is twice as vicious.

Having said that, if you are early adopter be prepared to spend extra 10 to 30% premium. That's the price to pay to have the fastest rigs money can buy.

IMHO, in my opinion, its worth it because the I have never seen crypto currency world this robust before. Every week, I keep aside some BTC to get ready for VEGA.

And you have 3 GPU minable coins that are riding high, ETH, ZEC, XMR....  We have not had an alignment of the planets moment this good since... I was going to say the Litecoin heydays circa 2013.

I dont know, maybe mining veterans like Phil can help recall.

It's funny walking into a MC and telling them you want to buy an AMD card.  They push you towards an NVidia card so hard.  Once I tell them I'm a miner, they finally relent.
