There's nothing special with the market now. I can't understand why people start to panic when crypto goes down as everyone knows that it'll recover and even rise more than before. All we need is to be patient. February's fall should have taught us that everything is temporary and we should expect a new rise after another fall.
BTC just hitted 6500 (http://bitcointicker.co/) now, really difficult to be optimistic at these critical levels. There haven't been bad news today either or maybe they will tell us after market movements. To respond to thread starter: yes, definetely unhealthy, this neverending bear market feels exactely like a bubble burst. Better to stay FIAT until a serious reversal signal is spotted. Do I have missed some bad news for today or just whales dumping hard?

Wrong wording: anyway, not unhealthy, but young market! Another couple of years will exist in this form, and then everything will improve!
Yeah this is harsh reality, some experts say that correction and consolidation is good for the market for the long term, so may be its what we are passing through, lets keep hopes high lets hope there will be light after passing through a dark and long tunnel.

Yes it is unhealthy. BTC is obviously manipulated (I have a personal hypothesis about this), and the altcoins all just follow. Surely ETH can eventually show the way ....

Why would you make such topic in December when Bitcoin was $20000 and all alts were x5-10 from current prices? I think that this correction is necessary for crypto, because I don't want it to turn out a bubble or disappear

The media can try to bring it down but it's not a huge drop in price, the market is now fairly stable compared to how it was before. These small hikes and dips are good for the long term goal of mass adoption.
Media always try to make bad news about crypto specifically about when it decreases.But they didn't see that Bitcoin growth was almost 20X in 2017.They will never publish any positive news about cryptocurrencies.I think Bitcoin needs few months of consolidation and correction for a steady growth again.
I do not think that in a few months bitcoin will stabilize and grow. It may take 1 to 2 years the new bitcoin can grow and not fluctuate price when the media brings bad news.

the market is still not down below the price like last year (june 2017). This is all just a result of sudden spike of bitcoin price last december, normally after a huge gain there will be same amount of loss as you can see on the graph. Being in panic can only make the situation worse. Just hold something and believe on it. They say that the price will eventually rise by the end of the year but don't expect that much.
The market is unhealthy, has we know that the market is very volatile and constant to change at anytime even without the crashing issues media and people's opinion about this crypto is not worthwhile. We are just waiting for what will happen in the longrun.

As you said, media shows the things about bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies to just pump fear. In my opinion, not following the situation of crypto from traditional media sources is better.
Yes, crypto market boomed last year very much but at the end of the year, it dropped down very rapidly this is surely a sad news in the crypto market and also broke much hope of the people. But most of the experienced people in cryptocurrencies have already seen such high drop in price and also a very fast and an all-time high recover of all the market. So still holding is the best option the crypto market is very flexible it can rise andy time and give many people a great advantage and profits from it in the future.
