The title is about thoughts on Zcash.. so I will give you another thought

"Approximately 131,250 Zcash coins were distributed among investors at a price of $15.24 per coin against the $2 million raised during the summer round of funding."

So the big investors who are behind Zcash bought 1 ZEC for ~$15 whereas it was traded for $xxxx in the first few days. In the end, it will be just that: ~$15

You have a source for that?

How can 131250 zcash be distributed when not even 20k is mined?

Zcash did it much better then i expected, i have fun mining it whit my big rig and in the cloud.
Which cloud miner did u buy your hash power from? I used all the 3...

a. www.Genesis-Mining.com

b. www.Zcash-Miner.com

c. www.ZeroPond.com

I'd have on good profit by now unless ZeroPond.com so drastically failed to deliver. They had the highest cost and delivered the worst of the lot.

A  www.Genesis-Mining.com, and i have a view rigs running as well.

RocketPie, can you make a comparison video? or review on this site? Love to see that!
In my eyes this just like advertising those site for others. how about the genesis mining in this day? are really can payback someone's ROI if investing in there?

Its a complete waste of money I think..
And the other mining contracts?

Zcash mining how do i say that..."by own success perished"?

Quote
I have a 5H/sec contract for which I paid 0.3BTC. My earnings so far are 0.0095 ZEC, which is about 2.2$.
And the other contracts? In percentage terms? how did they do?

zcash  it starting  to  cling  up again  as  we  saw  on the  current price  its  0.3  now  from  0.2  btc  lowest  price.  It  shows  that this coin have  potential for  me after the  dump  price  is somehow  stabilizing for  now. I cant conclude  hence  this  coins  is  just starting  up  only. Lets see  on what  would  happen  on  next few  months to come.

Its just a temporary correction. It will continue its downtrend for at least 2-3 months, you ll see
Im  believing  the  same thing too  that its  just  only a correction  but  the  trend  would not be change  and  it would  continue  to dump  its price.  Even can we  see  a  little rise  on the price  but  it  doesnt mean that it would  rise   all the way and   go back to  the price its was  before. If this  downtrend would continue  then its already a  trashcoin for me and  say sorry for those   investors  who  bought on  expensive  prices.

The problem I have with currently mining Zcash is that system developers implemented called - 'Founders Reward'.
Miners won't get full reward for mined coins, but instead a 20% of the Zcash mining reward will go to the founders.
To be honest - 20% 'tax' is way to much in my opinion.

https://z.cash/blog/funding.html
That's just a new scenarios from dev. whatever about the dev but their scenarios are already making a lot of lost for the traders.
But 20% of the total mining are so huge at this time.
I don't think the dev are good boys, but let's see the price will below .29 btc and we will another lost a lot of the traders.

This is  what  i dont  like   on zcash which  the  founders  reward is too  huge  and   i  can  think  anything  of   reason  why they  put such  shared amount   for  every  block  that  have been found. I agree with  you,  tax  is too  huge  thats   why  i  didnt  intend to  mine  zcash  because  its  just a waste  of time   on  mining it  , im  not  judging  this  coin  but its  a sh*tcoin for me.

Oh well. 3 or 4 days mining and I'm out. Sold my coin.
Actually disappointed. The worst altcoin I ever mined!
That's saying something...

That`s not totally far to Zcash, the price decreasing is totally expected everybody mining did know this..except you? (Price in the beginning higher, and then down, down, down, down).

Zcash did it much better then i expected, i have fun mining it whit my big rig and in the cloud.
Zcash price will be more stable later on when the block-reward gets normal.
Until that time just see day by day if you mine Zcash, Ethereum, or Classic.

If you mine Zcash, just like all smart miners sell your coins in this period, you can later always buy Zcash back for the lower price.

I think that it can become pretty big but its hard to say because it can also turn into a pump and dump coin so its hard to say what is gonna happen with it in the future.
Right now its future looks pretty bright.

From your lips to God's ear? Bright for the developers sure.

coin shows its true value on poloniex
True value is determined through cost of mining. I have a 10 Sol/s contract for 4 months with www.Zcash-Miner.com which costs me 0.125 BTC. I am mining since Genesis block and mined 0.01047092 ZEC so far. So, true value of 1 ZEC right now should be 0.125/0.01047092, i.e. 11.93782399 BTC. As more coins are mined, true value is expected to go down and settle at 1 BTC. Whatever value is shown right now on various exchanges are result of trading.

absolutely disagree. there is a big difference in the "break even point" for miners and the real zec value.

most importantly is that a) about 214,000 zec is bought for only $4.6 per zec by the first investors, b) another 132,000 zec is bought for $15 per zec, and c) the amount of zec available will increase fast which lowers the price.

With current prices investors get a insanely high roi by selling coins, and dont forget about 20% of all mined coins go to the investors.

im not saying they will sell all, but you must be a crazy investor to not secure at least part of your giant earnings.

and value is always based on ask/demand. therefore looking at the above im prety sure real value for coming months will be somewhere around $25 - $50 usd or so, maybe $100-$250 over time in case it gets popular or when it gets hyped or pumped.

if i had to guess we will see a price of 0.05 and 0.1 btc sooner then you think.
Today ZEC keeps their chairs in the 0.45 and I just voted about your statement (+1) totally considering the supply and demand will show me a real evidence about the price will fall again. My hope the price will below of the ETH rate. that's will be more reasonable in my mind.  Grin

hehe thx for voting Smiley

but it will be a fun coin to watch whatever happens. and another possible option for it to rebounce a bit again is when investors have a floor in mind. you have seen this with other coins like paycoin. investors tried to manipulate the market by placing huge btc floors and pumping the coin by buying and selling to themselves.

bot ok, thats pure speculation, but wherever big money is involved extra factors always begin playing a huge role.
it will necessarily be alt problem; they are so greedy. Keep watching, and the demand of zec will be migrating to the other. And oh god seems like FCT and XMR get their moment at this time. Grin

The supply is growing continuosly so imo there will be a few pumps but no stable price increasement.

Indeed, that would appear to be the programme.

The higher the price of the coin, the more btc you need to set a floor.

If 3000-4000 zec is being mined per day, at this current price you need 1200-1600BTC PER DAY to create floor
Plus you have to maintain some volume to not let the market stuck with a gap of 0.1 btc between sells and buys
