Time management will be formed when someone is able to pursue what they want to achieve, time is an important part for someone.
Set goals: Life should have a purpose, when one wants to achieve what he wants.
Plan: is an important part before setting goals, because the plan is a process that we will do.
The rest we must have duties and delegations in determining whatever we want to achieve, any disturbance must be resisted and used as a benchmark to continue to grow, thus we will continue to walk without neglecting the basic process that we must do.

5. End procrastination: With procrastination, you’re never going to get anything done. You would keep pushing things to do at a later date until they pile up and become a huge problem later on.
procrastination is a hard thing for me to get rid of,
especially in the morning, it feels very lazy, even though if you think about it that morning is still fresh, but for some reason it feels so lazy.

maybe someone wants to give input or suggestions, to overcome the problem of procrastinating work.

This is really what I lack since I can't really manage my time. I really want to sleep, but at the same time, I want to find an additional job to earn more money, but I think it is impossible. I am working full time today, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. UK time, so I still have time to work in the evening, but the problem is that I can't because my job is really stressful. I think my problem right now is my mind. I am hopeful that I can overcome it in the future.

It is either overcome it or be used to it.  Our body tends to adjust to whatever workload we have.  So definitely in due time, you will get used to the hard work, but even so, you need to keep yourself healthy.  And I think the thread topic really suit your situation well.

I have been weighing my activities these past few days, since I also have work and at the same time sidelines, though my schedule isn't as hectic as xSkylarx, I found myself getting hooked on movies and donghua series, eating my free time.  I have made revisions to my scheduling and yet it all goes back to where I start.  So for us to have better time management, I think we have to give up things that are not productive and replace them with either relaxation to give ourselves time to release stress or use it to do our main concerns in orde to finish the work earlier.

Perfection is impossible and it's better that we always try our best,
always try to manage the time as best as possible and that's important,
but apart from that we have to keep enjoying
Enjoy is a very simple and relaxing thing, but if you enjoy too much every day, then there is no time that you can manage to get better. Because managing time every day is not easy because sometimes there are things that unexpectedly happen around you so you need to spend more time to finish them. So just enjoy it as necessary and don't be too overly because it will also make someone very lazy and far from successful.

It's true what you say all need management, especially in terms of time management. But sorry 1000x sorry I'm not a really consistent person when dealing with time. I sometimes let it flow and work according to the mood. Maybe because I no longer work in a certain company that requires being on time every time. I as an entrepreneur control it all according to what I want to control. I feel free and have more free time than busy time. For now, I feel much more comfortable and less demanding to always come in the morning.
No don't say sorry. No one is perfect and for sure that even the most successful people can sometimes fail to manage their time properly. Once you missed a thing that is supposed to be in your schedule, then what can you do? Nothing but what you did is right. Just let it flow. Remember, there's still tomorrow and you can always try again next time.

There are times that we are down or weak, that is why procrastinate but experts say that it's fine. Just work according to your mood. You didn't work in a company anymore because you don't want to be controlled but that is one of the reason on why many of us want's to quit as well and be our own boss.
Perfection is impossible and it's better that we always try our best,
always try to manage the time as best as possible and that's important,
but apart from that we have to keep enjoying

Time management, in my opinion is a skill. A skill that comes naturally to some, while others would strive to attain. Time management skills are valued by employers on a recruitment drive and are always on the lookout for such a skill.

There are always things that are needed to get done and with so little time. That is where time management comes in.
Time management could be defined in a variety of ways. We could safely define management as a process of planning, organizing, directing, controlling of human and material resources to enable the objective achieve its aim/goal.

Time management involves planning, organizing of your tasks, activities and objectives.
Time management is critical and needed to safely achieve the goal set by either an individual or an organization. In an organization, it has been confirmed and proven that being able to effectively manage time has led to an increase in productivity and it’s general output.

Here are some strategies for the effective management of your valuable time.
1. Set a goal: Personally, I like to write down my goals(either short or long term goals). Having a goal would set and prepare your mind and helps an individual to focus on the tasks ahead

2. Plan: Planning is vital when doing literally anything. More important when you want to limit or prevent time wastages. With a plan, you could set and follow a well defined course.

3. Have a scale of preference: Having a scale of preference shows your wants, needs and tasks. It  lets you arrange your tasks in order of importance and highlights your priorities. Having a scale of preference also helps keep you organized.

3. Break larger tasks into smaller ones: Breaking larger tasks into smaller ones helps make the tasks more achievable and easier. It also helps keeps you organized and focused on the tasks

4: Delegate: Delegation is very important in an organization and it helps keep things moving smoothly and quickly. It also helps eliminate time wastage in the workplace.

5. End procrastination: With procrastination, you’re never going to get anything done. You would keep pushing things to do at a later date until they pile up and become a huge problem later on.

6. Do away with distractions: Whatever that doesn’t contribute to the attainment of a set goal is a distraction and should be dropped. All unnecessary things that doesn’t help you achieve your goal is a distraction and distractions greatly help waste time.

Time is a valuable resource that when lost, can never be recovered anymore.

Time is the most precious commodity in our life, it is a great topic to discuss, thanks for creating this thread. Time management is very important in our studies, career, social life and whatever activity we perform from dawn to dusk. It is a process to manage time in a way that each activity gets sufficient time to achieve targeted results. It is a skill that we learn gradually and it increases our capacity to get things done onetime without missing deadlines.

In the past, these two factors were the most difficult for me to eliminate in managing time. often my tasks become piled up as a result of my actions that are always procrastinating. procrastination is also closely related to the presence of distractions that distract us from work. be it a hobby or something. These two factors seem to be related to each other. But this happens as a result of us not making a schedule for each of our daily activities. when time schedules for work and other activities have been made and adjustments are made so that work and pleasure do not conflict. then the problem can be solved. so that we become calmer when working and we also become more able to enjoy our vacation time. so that's where the importance of managing time and making a schedule that has been adjusted.

I agree that it's a great skill.

And those that can manage their time properly, they're the most productive people because they know what to prioritize and what to do best for their time.

It's not everybody that can do this because they really can't when they've got free time or after they've come from their offices and day jobs. Those that can still do a lot and manages to do multiple task, they're impressive people and likely the ones to succeed in their lives because of it.

This is really what I lack since I can't really manage my time. I really want to sleep, but at the same time, I want to find an additional job to earn more money, but I think it is impossible. It's not just you, this is a problem we're all facing. Everyone wants to have more time, do more things to have a fulfilling life, but it is really difficult. I always have a daily and weekly planner for my work and daily activities but honestly, it never worked out the way I had planned, it was just too hard to do. My main job causes me a lot of stress, so after work, I need to take a short nap to relieve fatigue instead of rushing into my scheduled work or spending time with my family.

This is, IMO, one of the skills that if you didn't know how to at first, will eventually be hard to learn since your brain is wired to do a certain thing and it will continue to do so unless you really try hard enough. I am still struggling to manage my time even though I can do it at times. Having a full-time job also messes up your sense of time as 8-12 hours of your time can be eaten up by work alone. Time management is easier said than done for most people, and I envy those who can get a lot from their day just because they know how to prioritize things. Most successful businessmen have great time management, that to them, every second counts.

It all comes down to you and how you structure your time. Although the advice is crucial, it is not practical to spend so much time planning out your day. Situations can change at any time. You need to plan out what you're going to do today, the following morning, and your next highest priority task. Set a time limit and move on.

I didn't consider it a skill but a task. We did this because it is necessary especially if you are multitasking. In fact, it was been a practice in major companies either small or big companies are adopting this strategy in order to become more productive.

It was not a criterion when looking for an applicant or an employee but what the company needs is someone who has managing skills that could implement this strategy in the company. Strong management skills will likely fill the job.

Yes, I completely agree that procrastination is what makes any of us unable to manage our time and therefore cannot achieve our goals, so ending procrastination and starting right away is the best solution. When you manage your time, the pressure on you will be reduced and you will be able to do more work with ease, and you will be able to work with more productivity, so we all have to if we want to manage our time and take advantage of all our time to make a list of daily tasks and works and we must have a calendar of dates and periods for each task we want to do.

6. Do away with distractions:
Multitasking can be a distraction as well, trying to do many things at a time instead of focusing your energy to complete a task first before moving to another can be a way to use more time. You will do faster and save more time, focusing your energy on one activity and moving to another instead of doing many things at a time. Avoid multitasking for effective time management.

Try creating a 'to-do-list' or schedule of things you need to do. It might not be as accurate as you've planned but it will be better having something to rely on or follow, because it will serve as a guide. If you'd miss some of the tasks on your list, atleast you'd be able to do others based on your plan than do not do anything because your schedule is not organized. Then eventually you'll be used to being organized and systematic with your time. Then domino effect; you'll be efficient with your investments.

Actually this idea would be beneficial not only to individuals but to the society in general especially if many people would do the same thing. One of the problems in work industry is lack of plans which makes employees and also the company not as productive as they should be.

Great topic, thank you for sharing it with me. Gonna pin it, haha.

I also recommend you use the Pomodoro technique - short bursts of focus on certain tasks to get things done faster and more efficiently across the day. You will feel way fresh too.

Thanks! It’s nice to know someone found it helpful. I have heard about the Pomodoro technique but haven’t really applied it. Nice technique though.

I’m quite fond of the Eisenhower decision matrix as it helped me stay prioritized and focused more on important things I needed done.

As mentioned above time management is an important skill for anybody that wants to be successful in life. Time management helps you to be at the right place at the right time and also to do the right thing at the right time in other to execute a task at hand efficiently.

Time management is a skill for only discipline people and improves self discipline, an indiscipline man will find it difficult to meet up with his schedule for the day after making a proper plan because he is weak at managing his time and will be distracted by other things. Time management helps in providing energy for free time in order for you to do whatever you want such as sports, reading and so on

True, living our daily lives requires time management, especially if you have a job or dream, from waking up, working, hanging out with friends, etc. to going back to sleep, you must have good time management to make you disciplined in your activities.
why is it so important?
Time is a gift from God that is continuous, has a limit, cannot be replaced and time is a moment (opportunity). If you can't make good use of your time, you will slow down the success of what you have planned in advance.
Recording what you will do in a notebook or daily calendar is an example, I think it is more effective to write it down on items or places that we often use, such as smartphones and laptops.

The systematic use of time management can lead to stress.  It is very important to listen to the signals of your body.

Sometimes a person just needs to lie on the couch and watch a new series, and not solve problems.  Rigid planning is not for everyone.  Yes, you need to set goals.  Without this, progress is impossible.

However, you can’t mindlessly force your body to act and your brain to think.  Otherwise, a powerful psychological rollback may occur.

Laziness is the main engine of scientific and technological progress.

Time is of essense to human productive strives. If you don't plan with time you have not started on anything good. "I think there is a saying that he who fails to plan has already planned to fail". This just buttress the point that timing is good because if you get old without having any skill or knowledge to sustain you to feed yourself at old age you now see it that the person didn't utilize the time to plan very well. This is why they also say time is money in the making, if we plan very well with our time we can have a success story. When we talk about time is not only our personal time but the global time in the scheme of things. The world has changed, the time we are now is different from what it was 100 years ago or 15th century ago. Therefore some of the things we do, use or are happy with then have all metamophose, the cars, electrical gadgets, to culture and social living etc.
