Hi!

I have heard about Bitcoin back in 2017 but never got to learn regarding about it. I always thought that crypto was a fluke and that it would definitely not be a type of transaction until pandemic happens. So, as the title would suggest, is it too late to start investing on crypto? And if not, what would be the essentials to learn on working on it?

Thanks in advance!
I will always say this there's no time that's too late for anyone to get involved and invest in crypto, every one would not jump into a moving train same time it has to be turn by turn and I guess this is your time  appropriate to be part of the crypto industry  and you should take advantage of the current market situation with the dumping in the price of bitcoin and  invest. Making sure to invest with a long term plan due to how the market is still bearish so when the bull run eventually kick off you would only have to sit back and see your investment pumping.

You can also get yourself familiar with certain things about bitcoin through this link https://www.academia.edu/41092901/Mastering_Bitcoin_SECOND_EDITION_Programming_the_Open_Blockchain

We often hear that better late than never. And in my opinion, it's not a matter of whether we're late or not, but rather whether we're really ready or not. Maybe at that time you really weren't ready and didn't believe in Bitcoin, moreover many people just went along with investing in Bitcoin and ended up being disappointed because they didn't understand the real investment in Bitcoin. This time is a bearish time and this is also one of the right times for you to enter Bitcoin investment. But this is for the long term

Hi!

That would have been a great time to join the crypto verse but great to have you here now Smiley

I always thought that crypto was a fluke and that it would definitely not be a type of transaction until pandemic happens.
Every great project have always started off with many not believing in them and others would consider such as a gamble, but as an investment it's about the risk and if you willing to take the risk you could be rewarded handsomely or walk away with peanuts  Roll Eyes it's all out of the game.

So, as the title would suggest, is it too late to start investing on crypto? And if not, what would be the essentials to learn on working on it?

Thanks in advance!
AFAIK, crypto has no late entry because the potential it has.. has not yet been realized and you wouldn't want to pass on this opportunity...

You need to learn the basics before stepping into the crypto field. Otherwise, it will be a disaster. It is all about how you protect your capital and risk management. I will tell you what are the main points you need to learn.

1. Basics of Blockchain (Hashing, Consensus mechanisms)
2. Technical Analysis
3. Fundamental Analysis
4. On-chain Analysis
5. Off-chain Analysis
6. Portfolio Management (Create a portfolio, How to do the rebalancing?)
7. Exit strategies
8. Smart Money Concepts
9. What are the free crypto-earning methods? (Testnets, AMA)

Please search about those main topics.

It's never too late. You can start from whenever you like. Crypto is volatile, and this is not a bad thing for traders. They take advantage from this in order to make profits. So you can start to learn from the basic of trading and trade if you are trying to catch up with existing crypto users. But remember this, it also comes with high risk. You have to learn all of it and learn well in order to survive. With high risks comes high rewards in crypto world.

So learn the basics and keep learning until you become the best at it. And you can start from anytime. But before you do, be sure to be prepared.

As long as cryptocurrency exist it's not too late. We don't know how far will cryptocurrency go especially Bitcoin. Its price is always proving that it can go even further, we don't know its peak but I'm sure investing on it is really worth it. So instead of thinking a lot of thoughts about it, like a negative one, just invest on it already and find the answer for yourself.

The price of bitcoin is too volatile and no one knows what will be the price of Bitcoin in the future but since Bitcoin supply is limited the price of Bitcoin still have a chance to increase in value. So it's not too late to buy bitcoin you can even play and make a profit from the ups and down you should learn how to trade.

By now think that people suppose to know that the price of Bitcoin never be stagnant and it changes at any point in time, which since the price  of Bitcoin  have no fixed price that means  that no time someone invest in bitcoin is in vain, from my understanding, its obvious that everyone who invest  in bitcoin  will definitely make profits,  and what will deprived the person is the time factor it wants the Investment to last, if some is not curious to draw on Bitcoin investment, their is every tendency it will surely make a profit.

there is no to late, you can try in any situation and can learn from that.
I also just joined crypto in 2018 and learned many things from airdrop bounty trading and others.so you can start from anytime you know.
When you mean too late I understood it in two different categories,
One which is age factors, maybe when you where in your early age you heard about cryptocurrency trading but was never really interested, but when you got to a particular ages which you won't have the eye and straight to trade again, that one can say it too late.
Then the second is when you heard about cryptocurrency trading, maybe a friend told you about it, let's say for example in 2020 then you now had interest in 2023, that is not too late to start, is when you made up your mind to take a try. So with this then one can say there is nothing like too late.

If you heard about Bitcoin in 2017, you're too late. Those who have joined this forum since 2017 have achieved a lot in their life. Your idea of an epidemic was completely wrong. But I mean if you want to invest you can invest. Now is the right time to invest. You can analyze about Bitcoin and see that at one time Bitcoin reached a maximum of $69k, but now the price of Bitcoin is 21600 dollars. That's why I want to tell you that if you want to invest, there is still a good time for you to invest.
No, please do not say that. We don't want to discourage anyone here. 2017 was an early year for Bitcoin because this is where it starts to pump at almost $20k (the highest price so far compared to other previous years). We don't know our future. Some of us might have achieved a lot but there is a chance that we can lose it all but for those who doesn't have anything or have only started today, can have a better life than us later on.

$69k was the current highest price of Bitcoin but it doesn't stop there. If someone can't invest today, they always have another chance of doing it next time and there are reasons for it. What if they don't have a budget right now?

It's never too late to start investing in crypto especially now because you can already see the market is experiencing a deeper decline. This is your chance to buy as many bitcoins as possible. But remember to buy as much as you can afford. Do not exceed the investment budget that you have prepared because it can interfere with other needs.

If you want to invest in bitcoin, you only need to buy when there is a decline every week or month and don't need to analyze price movements too deeply. You can do the DCA method by buying at a lot of low prices to get more bitcoins.

It is very unfortunate that you never learned about Bitcoin since 2017. If you learned it in 2017, you may have earned many dollars now. However, I think it is never late to start, you can start now. We are still in the bearish season, so you actually still have a good chance to buy and invest in Bitcoin. But make sure that you have learned it first and understand it. Every person who wants to invest in Bitcoin must have sufficient knowledge about it. Bitcoin investment is high-risk, it is a must to have a good understanding of Bitcoin.

Anyway, do you want to invest in Bitcoin or in altcoins, as well? I suggest focusing on Bitcoin first, it is much safer than altcoins.

it's never too late to start, especially if you are trading, I think investing still has the opportunity to make a profit, because in my opinion the price is still below due to the bearish season. if to start with I think it's better to start with investment as the biggest share of capital, and if you want to learn trading, then use a small portion of the capital that you prepare, so that you can maintain psychological stability, before that it would be better to study in theory, so that you have knowledge before, before you start practicing doing both activities

There’s always time to learn, and buy crypto remember that we are still far from mass adoption so you can expect that many are still not into crypto but I’m sure later on, they will ask the same question as well. Crypto market today is going down, you might have a good chance now to buy at a cheaper price, so don’t let this opportunity pass again, grab it now and see its true worth especially the good projects and coins.
Exactly!
It is not too late, the crypto market is going down and the next opportunities are going to happen for newcomers. When crypto enthusiasts talk about the $100k market price predictions, I know it is time to sell BTC and wait for the end of a bear market. Market psychology and sentimental analysis methods help traders to analyze market conditions before taking any trade position, learning all peak points will make OP a professional trader one day. As explained before, it is not late since mass adoption is not at desired level yet.
There's no such thing about being late because just like you've said that volatility do always kicks in on which it is really that understandable that you could really still play out of those volatility. The thing that

plays on peoples mind is that they are really that been that in doubt because they are minding that its too late since everything had already pumped out without even trying out to realize that this market could really be having those corrections which is something that you could really still enter anytime and anywhere you do like. This is why you shouldnt really be thinking off on  those ways considering that
there still lots of opportunities on where you could really get in within this market. Its never been too late as long you do know on what you are doing.

No time is too late for someone to know or invest in bitcoin. The moment you know about bitcoin that's when your knowledge of it starts counting whether to utilize the opportunity or information you heard of it to your advantage or not.

There are still many people that yet to learn about bitcoin, they are most likely to do that in years to come. The bone of contention is that no time someone gets to know about bitcoin is too late cos bitcoin is yet to stop existing today or tomorrow.

It is never too late. Crypto is still in its baby shoes. But since you are new I would highly recommend you research wallet security and how blockchains work. Also, I would recommend you do not invest in any crypto under the top 10 (by market volume) . for example on coinmarketcap. The reason is that many crypto make themselves look very attractive but totally flop as a long term investment.

Once you have some experience under your belt, you can look into the other crypto.

As others have said, it is definitely not too late. The only problem I see with your thread is that you have placed it in Trading Discussion, and it is much better to invest in bitcoin than to trade it.

Trading is buying and selling trying to guess whether the price will go up or down and it is a much touted system but one that over 95% of people lose money on.

Investing, on the other hand, is based on a thorough knowledge of the asset you are buying and basing your purchase on the fact that its characteristics are such that it will have a prosperous long-term future.

It is better to go for this second option, as you seem to point out, it is much safer and with less risk.
I don't see that he mentioned trading in each of his posts but he only place his thread on the wrong board. There is nothing wrong if he will do trading. He can still do investing on the side because investing doesn't need a constant monitoring. Learning trading can be a good way to kill our boredom on waiting for our assets to grow big.

Trading is more than just guessing but there are tools that we can use in order to make a more accurate prediction. 95% of people losing in trading could be too high already and if it's true, trading will be less talked about but that isn't the case that is happening right now. Trading is always a hot topic everywhere you go.

It’s never late to be honest. And when you talk about Bitcoins specifically, then definitely it’s never late. I mean currently Bitcoins are at great price, just don’t think anything else and buy and store it safely as many as you want. The reason for which I am saying this so confidently is because of the marketcap of the coin. Bitcoins are so popular that, eventually when the time will pass, the demand of the coin will increase, and due to the limited number of Bitcoins, the price will go up in order to meet the demands. So buy the coins without giving a second thought. Consider yourself lucky, if you are getting the coin at below 30k usd.

Have you check bitcoin price today, have look at altcoins today? They have all drop in price due to some bad news and some traders are predicting that it can go down further from this price, with this, you should know that crypto is full of opportunities, any time people think they are late to the party, there is this correction that happens and that should be opportunity for people who think they have miss out when the price was low, here is another discount for you to buy bitcoin and also some altcoins, you will enjoy the profits in the next bull run but have to be patients because the journey has some bumps.
