One way to stop being trapped by the scam is to stop being greedy. Most of the times its the greed due to which we take interest in the offers which are not realistic ones. If an project is offering you a lot of free money/token and in return asking for your keys, then beware that it would be a scam.
This is already a mentality. People with small incomes are most likely to burn out. Since they want to get everything without investing anything, such people are usually left with nothing.

They are trying their luck hoping that by chance the work will gain compensation, but since they are not careful and

just participating without taking efforts to investigate, most of them will just ends up nothing, waste time and effort

recieving few to nothing in returned. There's no other way but to deal with your DYOR and wish for luck to accompany you.

Frankly speaking that's the same for everybody who doesn't have a lot to invest. Taking risks then is so painful. You don't have much, you can't even afford to lose it but still you want to take part in all the action that is taking place in front of your eyes. That's a bad situation which often leads to such people taking too high a risk.

Scam is inevitable what matters is how you protect urself and your assets out there in the crypto space. Doing enough researchs about the said projects is key. Though sometimes it still fails. But then we have to be hopeful.
It's true, scams can't be avoided by anyone because scammers are always making new ways to trap everyone in the crypto space, so it's clear in this case that everyone must be good at protecting themselves so they don't get caught in a scam path.

There's no doubt that the industry is quite risky and requires a great deal of care to avoid getting hurt. In most cases we find out several innovative ways of scam which are deployed to take advantage of the ignorance of people. The best approach is to think twice and have a good grasp of the scheme before venturing.

I have been in crypto world since 2017 and i joined so many projects. Many of them are good projects but there are still scam projects. I don't know how those people can sleep peacefully at night knowing their bad intentions by scamming people. Because sometimes it is hard to identified if it is a scam or a good one. My realization was to invest only for the amount you can afford to lose.

By the end of 2020, along with the strong growth of Bitcoin, some people used the trust of many to scam.
For example:
- Create virtual projects,
- Create virtual tokens,
- Create an investment website for the purpose of calling for investment,
- Create an airdrop that calls for people to deposit fees to pay tokens
- ....
Everyone should be careful when participating in projects like that.
Thank you so much.
Nothing new now, actually it's lesser now because they are exposed before they get to scam people, back 5 years ago the scammers can easily accumulate thousands or even millions of dollars by just simply creating a coin similar to Bitcoin and market it as the next big thing, newbies should learn how to differentiate real ones to fake ones before they participated to these ICO and airdrops.

For those who have been in the crypto world for a long time, you should not be surprised by the many project scams that have sprung up.
Because indeed since 2017 when crypto began to boom, there were so many newbies who joined crypto at that time. So the scammers saw
this as an opportunity to steal money from newbies, and it proved successful, many victims of fraud at that time. And now when the market is
bullish, scammers are trying to do the same, therefore for newbies, don't be lazy to learn about the crypto world. If newbie are lazy to read,
we can learn from videos on the YouTube platform, which now has many videos that educate you on how to recognize project scams,
so we can avoid being victims of fraud.

DeFi and NFT now have so many indications of a scam. especially those on the Binance Smart Chain network. no whitepaper. anonymous team and also low liquidity make an indication that it is a pretty strong scam. but on the other hand many people are attracted when they see the price is low enough for them to be able to promote. what is clear you have to be more careful when investing in altcoins that are not clear.

There are many scam projects out there. But dont think all are scam. Do your own reseach and invest in the projects.
Let me tell you one thing. Its the time of NFTs now. If you are planning to invest then look into those stuff. Recent project which i invested was Alien Worlds and Rplanet. You can also invest in liquidity pools like pancakeswap, mobox and apeswap. All these are legit ones.

Of course scams projects can't be determined as a simple step because scammers always trying to handle their projects in a decorative ways where investors don't identify. They always trying to arrange it as virtual coins and virtual team management. They manage false roadmap and whitepaper.

Thank you so much for bringing it up again. This has been said many times but most times, people are blinded by greed that they throw caution to the wind and do what they feel is right and at the end, got scammed. Let me start with airdrop, it is meant to be given freely so far the participants have done the required tasks expected of them, but once the team directly or indirectly demands for small Eth or BNB for gas fee in order to send the participants their tokens, then it is a red flag and will possibly be a scam.
Another is investment platforms which offers high reward which are of course very attractive, such that once the greedy person comes in contact with the platform, he will be forced to invest.
Let's just try our best to explore about the right thing and do it always without feeding scammers every now and then.

Yes, I also often receive messages by telegram to invest in certain websites, but after I checked, the website hasn't been around for a year. I think we need to check details about websites offering investments.
I also question about the site, why is not in this forum. Because in this forum there are people who are able to do research on the correctness of investment sites. But unfortunately they don't even know the bitcointalk forum.

Scammers are indeed one of the scourges you most want to avoid. deception and disappointment that is felt by those who experience it. but that's nothing new. very good for reminding each other and learning so as not to get into the same problem. because the Impostor will always be there and will not end.

Actually the news about project scams is not new, even in 2018-2019 almost all projects experienced traffic jams along the way, and I'm sure all bounty hunters are not discouraged by this, because there are still many projects available in crypto,
Scammers keep arriving in cryptocurrency, they are like parasites that make their victim suffer. The scam project is still circulating today and the population is growing, we need a lot of effort to detect a scam project so as not to get caught in it.
I honestly feel sorry for the bounty hunter who got caught up in a scam project, they spend a lot of time and mind promoting the project in hopes of getting paid after the project is over, but the reality is not as expected.
I am grateful to be able to participate in the paid BTC campaign, so I am not too worried about the payment I will get, because they always pay the campaign participants on time.

In this post I want to motivate friends here especially bounty hunter so they don't give up easily to join the project, Moreover, this year there have been many successful project, such as HEX, Poolz, Cyclops and there are several other project.

Even if you have teams who do Q&As or videos, teams that are not anonymous you can still expect them to scam you. The difficult part is to hunt them down legally. They have their legal entities in states you can't really do anything and complex corporate structures. It sucks and is sad because it shies lots of interested people away or destroys the excitement about the topic of those who lose lots of money.

As for teams who want to stay anonymous at any price, I wouldn't entrust them with my money. Chances it goes well for you are so low.

Scammers has been here right from the beginning, it’s not a new thing and you would be surprised at how many are regularly being scammed if you get to know, but because we never get to hear about most of the scams that takes place, we think it’s something that happens once in a while.

Scammers are everywhere and they are making use of different strategies and looking for who would fall into their trap and then they will prey on them. So, people really have to be careful no matter where, and especially with these airdrops, this is one of the reasons why I decided to stop airdrops because the level of scammers in it are too many. If you can deal with it, it’s always best to just stay clear from it.
