Well, it is undeniable that there are lots of people who are afraid to get into investing with Altcoins because of the generalization they here from the other members here in the forum. Many are being scared to try getting into Altcoins because they think that what the crowd say is the only truth in this crypto space we are all into. We do have different perspective and experiences so let your own experience talk to you and let yourself decide based on what you have experienced and not just because other people have told you to do so. We must turn down the mindset and the concept that all Altcoins are failure and scam because that was not totally true since there are still existing reliable and legible altcoins in the market. We cannot know anything about Altcoins if we will just be afraid to face it. If we do really want to know if such Altcoin is safe or not, better do your own research and discover it by your own self. Do not be afraid of getting into Altcoins because it is not what people think always matters. It is how you analyze and observe what Altcoins can really do. Instead of avoiding it, do research and let yourself decide since it is your own sake that matters not theirs. Remember that Bitcoin is not the only profitable crypto because Altcoins are also profitable if you will be able to find and choose the right one for you.

In my opinion, altcoin which have been forked from bitcoin doesn't offer any better incentive than bitcoin. I would rather invest in Bitcoin than settle for altcoin from bitcoin fork. When looking for altcoin to invest, I'll prefer to go with ethereum and tokens with sound projects.
Yes, basically everyone clearly likes bitcoin rather than altcoin generated through the bitcoin fork itself, just for investing in altcoin I suggest not taking on a new token project, because new tokens are often unable to compete in the market and can cause a decrease in value.

I don't think I need to be afraid to invest in altcoin ranking above, as does ethereum, where hardfolk fail many times, but I still faithfully hold it because with trust and a large community, it will be a force for altcoin to continue to exist, because without any manipulation
holding altcoin that have huge community will make its price stable and keep rising. there is no reason why we should affraid about it. i know sometime when market suddenly crash, many holder sell it.but after this price slowly recovered again and back to initial price before dumped. but different condition will happen if hold shit token, when it dumped it will difficult to recovered again.

Your concern is not just about altcoins by about forked coins. When my understanding is right, it is good for you to get scared of those coins as they may have or may not have definite future, it is always better option to risk only what you afford to lose.

But at the same time, BCH and BSV are heavily backed by some big whales who may manipulate these coins up to any level they might want to, like how XRP is doing for years when it was ignored as a shit-corporate coin by this community. I mean even most of the forked coins are known for no use case but they bring you decent profits when they do dramas of pump and dump.
I recall those days when ETC was heavily pumped from trex and polo as the drama of being the original ETH was raised. Your statement impacted this
market, as there are big whales behind those coins that you have mentioned, it's a matter of good timing and willingness to take chances together with
handling good management with the risk factors that accompanied by projects that you'll going to support.

Alts that have good backup teams will continue to move forward and will keep trying to find success from this market.

There already are hundreds of forked coins so I am not really sure if we would need any more forked coins in the future as it would only flood the markets with same specification coins. Many people trust these coins because they are been forked from bitcoin and they might even have a chance to make enormous price difference in the future markets but most of such coins might even have a dump anytime.

There are a number of other potential coins which have been dominated the markets since long time which can give us stable source of income so why to go for a riskier investment? I would prefer investing into ETH, XRP, TRX, ADA, etc rather than putting my capital into these forked coins.
But it still might happen even though in the same reality, I really don't want to invest in coin hardfork because it's enough that I cut loss when almost all of it dumps. After that I think again I better invest in altcoin compared to coin hardfork. There was a desire to return to invest when BCH and BSV reached a fairly high increase but I undo that intention.

there are still in my opinion some coins whose price increases have started to be good since January 2020, like ehereum, LTC and other coins as well. So yes, all of your own choices.

I think ethereum, will be a lot stronger project this year as their maij objective and dApps projects are increasing. Dont be scared to venture to those highly appraised project IMO. LTC also started to increase, maybe due to their progress. Anyway those two you mentioned are really good for me.

I personally hate the forked coins but not all of those. I might diversify my investments into Lightening bitcoin and Bitcoin cash but am not really sure about the rest forked coins.

Why chose bitcoin cash and not straight go for bitcoin lightning at all? I think bitcoin cash is more close to being rekt as this project indeed are working on taxes which is likely to ruin the original bitcoin protocol reputation. Anyway altcoins that related to fork of btc isng advisable for me.

I think one needs to be fearful about majority of altcoins so as to make sound and better decisions when investing in any altcoin. Most altcoins today, holding them it's just a waste of time because they will only lose value until it becomes worthless and the team comes up with an excuse to shut down the project. Talking about these Bitcoin forks, am not a fan of them because I prefer going for the main deal which is Bitcoin. How many people are even using the services these coins offers; in my own opinion, I think if really these tokens intend to offer good services better than that of Bitcoin then everyone should be talking about them but instead when discussing altcoins it tends to center around Ethereum, BNB etc. In addition, if am to go for them, I can only invest in BCH.

Everyone has their own research and analysis so which coins will be suitable for investment this year. Indeed, apart from the coins that the OP mentioned on the thread, there are still in my opinion some coins whose price increases have started to be good since January 2020, like ehereum, LTC and other coins as well. So yes, all of your own choices.

These coins usually have huge price because a vast community runs behind those coins just to make quick profits but once the whales move out of these coins, they start dumping. Sometimes that dump might even be quite quick and might even reach the bottom which would get difficult to recover again.

Only considering this situation, I stay away from investing into such coins. These coins have demand which keeps the price on the higher graph but we could never predict the future demand of any coin. The moment they start losing their demand would be the time when the price would start dumping.

Forks of bitcoin also have a right to exist. Since Bitcoin is improving very slowly, people have the right to experiment and try to improve the existing cryptocurrency. Some forks have better functional characteristics than the original bitcoin. Therefore, the entire cryptocurrency must develop. And which cryptocurrency to invest in is the right of everyone to choose.

Don't say bitcoin forks offer better retains, sometimes when have an open long trade, like we seeing now, you could hardily bank on bitcoin fork as they may take a much longer time to appreciate in value along bitcoin.

by the way , is bsv also a fork coin  ?  bsv is making a name lately  . i think its also worth it to grab the coin while it still hot  . you never know what if this coin are going to remain most of its pump  , like bch .

Yes it is. And it forked at block 556766, 15 November 2018. You can read more details here. It's remaining the top 5 altcoin that not means it'll pump or give you a huge profit. If that project is much reliable then investing on that is may be good idea. Other way stay way form it is better option.

Reportedly Bitcoin Cash is hit by a hacking attack, this also makes Bitcoin cash no longer popular for trading right now, indeed BSV has reached ATH again and indicates that a bitcoin fork is still feasible, but many incidents on these coins

That's sucks. Shocked Shocked Another disaster story of crypto currency. I just saw the news. Strange thing is it didn't effect on BCH market yet. Why is that. Huh Huh

I think the safest among them all is BTC why you put your money in various types of imitation coins.
I prefer ETH or other alt, maybe there is a little bit for BCH.the rest remains at BTC.
although miracles can happen on crypto but i'm not sure besides the bch and BTG that you saved. because the track record is bad until now.

In that case I'm glad that I have registered to get some airdrop from BITCOIN BLACK.

There is a fork last year which were rising so fast which is the BTC2. AFAIK it quickly hit $25 before its price corrected itself. Its amazing how good the project is because anyone can earn it by staking as well. But I don't know if I'd be scared to invest on ETH and EOS and LINK since these are the assets sticking their spot on top.

I had invested in bitcoin gold and cash, but for now it seems I don't really want it even though their coinmarketcap ranks are pretty good and are widely used by the community/investors because there are many other altcoin options that can get a lot of profit. And maybe in the future there will be some other altcoin (bitcoin forks) that will appear. Cheesy

Altcoins are alternatives to Bitcoin and although I wouldn't put everything up to the BTC, the truth is that most altcoin prices are influenced by the BTC.

But still as a person looking to invest in the future I would also depart from BTC related altcoins. This in my opinion broadens my investments and increases my chances for getting good returns, at times amd even irrespective of the market dominator.

But that's my choice which comes with its own risk, so I suppose so long as you make calculated risks and you're comfortable with that then don't panic or be scared!

No need to use sensational words such as "scared". Investors may be a bit more cautious with the relatively smaller coins, after all the scams we had recently. You can't call them cowards for that.  Grin

If you check the exchange charts, it can be found that there is still a healthy demand for various established cryptocurrencies such as Ethereum, Litecoin and even Binance Coin. But the smaller coins are not doing that good.
