NEO on the basis that if you want to participate in any ICOs in 2018 rumour has it they want NEO so watch it rise.
According to the experience of altcoin, I suggest you invest 2 coins is that Ripple and Dash, because of the recent growth of it very good, an increase of over 20% in just 1 day. While the Bitcoin is declining sharply, then you might consider investing in Altcoin or ICO, sure you will gain much higher profits than investment in Bitcoin. This is my personal opinion, you can apply or refer to other people's opinion.

My advice is to invest in Waves and ADA. Waves always show good results. I like this currency. ADA coins now fall in some extent but they will rise with the time. This is good interesting blockchain technology.
Now many coins have grown very well. But if bitcoin continues to fall, it will be a great time to buy alt coins at a very cheap price. I think that IOTA and NEM will show a good result

u mean only standard btc or the BCH and BCG also? Cause they are showing right now even better performance than their 'father'.Probably BTC. It's weird to now think when people say "Bitcoin" they might mean different things... I also don't understand why BCG has bounced up. It's the exact same thing as Bitcoin (Core version) right? I mean there is no difference for scaling plans at all, it's just a different hashing algo.

In any case before investing in any coin you should look at the long-term chart and evaluate in which trend the coin is located
For me i choosed new altcoin that just entered the market a feew week ago that has good fundamentaly and has working product like POWR, VECHAIN, WABI, DATA, AION. My prediction the price of these coin will be going up in the longterm because they have unique project and the purpose of the project is very interesting and also different with others.
Yeah this is a pretty good collection of coins. VeChain, Wabi AND Walton. It seems all will have their own success. POWR and AION also looking nice.
I don't know DATA so I might have to begin researching it

At present altcoins that has been gaining good growth seems to be ethereum, ripple, neo. Though some were high in value, it is expected to provide us with the profit based on the investment we do. Also upcoming year is expected to provide a large scale growth on altcoins.

If you can hold atleast 2-3 years go for eth and mgo is a sleeping giant it's nice to buy mgo because the price is really some predit it will pump up to $3
