Prime Minister, I feel sorry for your loss, but I think you should not be too pessimistic. I believe that it will not take long before the price of bitcoin will erupt again. You can wait patiently for a while and wish you luck.

Trading is not for everyone and it really demands lot patience along with hard work for making big profits in trading. Trading is not for those who have bad control over emotions and are not in favor of working hard or risking their money.

Trading sucks onlyfor those people who have no knowledge on it and just waiting for their coins to get bigger value without doing nothing. If that's your mentality crypto world is not for you and better to get a regular job than wasting your time in this industry. Because for me trading is the best way to earn money based on your skills and strategies, holding is acceptable if it's bitcoin that needed long time to see the result. Alt coins in the other hand are best when you work it for a short term or what they called daily trading.

Holding in crypto is one of the best investments you can make there are more coins coming lately with passive earnings that are way better than any bank can offer you. We are living in the future. When the public gets this offer we are in it for years and solid. Then we will profit from the masses that's how I see it. Kinda cool to think about. Test it? Ask around to your friends and family I can bet not even 10% is in Bitcoin or any other crypto currency. When the official fund's step in that were the fun begins for us.

I think your experience will give you some lesson in a positive way also. Experience is the best teacher. There was also a saying try and try until you succeed. Don't lose hope. Maybe your approach or way in trading is not compatible or suits in this period or time.

your story is quite impressive, you should understand before you want to trade with a large fund, I think from your story you have no experience more trading and how the price can be in the conspiracy because of bad sites, yes anyhow it's a pretty valuable experience for you and a little appeal to beginner traders like me.

Hey if you're looking to make up some of your losses, here are two easy ways (sure it's no big deal but maybe it helps):

1. Sign up for this affiliate program (it's pretty new): https://changenow.io/affiliate?utm_source=BitcoinTalk

2. Here's a chance to win one full ETH with very little effort (see link for instructions): https://changenow.io/video-contest?utm_source=BitcoinTalk

Haha you sure this will make up his losses or he'll loss more? I don't think so buddy. Grin

If you just have limited experience and knowledge in trading then maybe you must forget it for a while and just focus in holding good coins. While you're away from trading accumulate more knowledge for you to at least lessen your losses but of course experience is the best teacher so if you want to gain more experience so take all the risk behind it.

Trading isn't suitable for everybody. Any advise might sound easier but it could be totally different. You learn from your experience. Seeing this volatile and unpredictable market, hodling is a good decision if you pay attention to the chart. Trading is only giving you heart attack. Buy bitcoin and close your eyes.

So true, based on experience. I have had similar experiences in the past regarding trading. I was also too excited that I really wanted to try trading. To actively set a bidding price in an order and then an asking price afterwards. That is just so sweet to imagine for a newbie. And then in a few days, the sweet imagination came crushing down. The ending will always be a frustrating value of your portfolio. And then I resorted to holding, just like you. But I also did a few swing trades right after that. Kind of holding, only short term.

Holding our investment during this time is much better because if we sell our bitcoin and altcoin, we will surely get more loss from our investment instead of profit.

Yesterday I just lost 1.8k USD, maybe in USA or in West Europe that's doesn't much, but here in my shitty country that's a f* big amount of money. Here the minimum wage is ~ 300 USD / month. So that's like 6 month of work if I cut my bread and water and live on air. Half of my saving were other investments, but anyways... I'm feeling shitty right now. Oh, and I break my laptop. So yeah, that's another - 500 usd.

I though I can trade. Buy low, sell high. Sounds good, doesn't work.

Looking at the charts and candle sticks and watching old bitcoin values, and huge spikes (pump, I saw here how people uses the pump word, daaaamn...) I was... yeah, I can totally do that. I'll just buy when it's low, and sell it when it reaches the top. Well, I was wrong. You can't see the future, otherwise everyone would be a millionaire. That would be true if you would have a delorean from '85 with Emmett Brown and Marty Mcfly and you could f* travel in future and see the PUMPS!!!1

So anyone who will read this message (noobs like me) if you don't have any trading experience, don't do it. There are expert traders who know how this market works, when to buy and when to sell. Don't assume your skills by watching youtube videos and reading "daily indexes and predictions" of how the price will rise or go down by shitty sites. That's just dumb. You don't know what's gonna happen. Maybe a little bit of luck, or I don't know.

So yeah, from now on, I'll just leave the trading area for experts and I will invest in bitcoin by buying every 2 week or monthly and saving into my wallet. And one day (I hope so) the price will rise and I will buy for my self a delorean.

Cheers!
I think that with a market going down as it is now, I believe that successful trading is extremely difficult. The prices of bitcoin and altcoin are continuously decreasing and there has been a slight recovery today. So I think that if the trade fails you should boldly cut losses, not hold while the market is in a downward trend, if you keep more losses will only.

For now,  it is much better to hold your existing coin and wait for the big pump anytime and do more investment while the price is much lower. The lower price is,  the better time to invest.

I completely agree with you. Trading is not a any easy task at all. We need to really be very keen and patient at the same time to learn every bit about trading only then we can do trading to make decent profits otherwise it is best to keep holding your coins especially if they are good coins for long time to have some profit.

I experienced the same issues. Trading coins is pretty difficult. I tried it for a month but it is really stressful. Made some profit in the process but it was not worth it. I made the same decision as the TS and now  I am in it for the long hold. Trying to create my lambo with doing nothing :-)

I think it will be about the token you will be trading and the market is bearish now so it is not shocking to see a lot of traders getting a lot of loss.
2 weeks ago I profited from one token that moves swiftly back and forth which makes it easy to hit the orders that I fill in. But now, I have seen its price go way beyond my imagination. It is really in a deep fall and it is like inviting me to buy again.  Grin
Trading may be difficult at times of this bear but the good thing will be you know when to buy or not.

Hodling - that's the best thing to do if you don't want to lose anything or take a risk. It's just the disadvantage of it is you will lose the profit in short term trading but the advantage of it is you won't lose any single of your coin by just waiting for a price rise.
P.S. Now is not the best time to gain experience in trading

Hodling was good when the market grew...actually now nobody can say certainly, what is worse or better - to hold or to trade. I think that trading is more profitable now.

Yes it good for doing some thing instead of panic selling the best option to aware of loss keep calm and hold it because with the market situation it will come again at high price but take time that is the problem for some investors,

It doesnt suck like whatever else it takes 10k hrs to wind up a professional. Put out or get out. The market is made for noobs to give their cash away. Crypto resembles the least demanding business sector for noobs to ever exchange if your losing cash in crypto your def in wrong field. Most secure wager is simply do inverse of what you think. I said that 100x and profited that way. Conflict with every other person exchanging, at the present time loads of shorts do go long.
