This is very common thought that crypto is mostly unpredictable but almost all tokens give profits according to a pattern. Especially from old top altcoins you won't suddenly get big pump but will pump best during bull market. In my opinion long term pump or profit thinking you may not get good results from altcoins but bitcoin, ethereum you will get best profit from them. Buy tokens at the best and specific time then profit amount will be good.
Both type of project can used for taking profit. If you are talking about trending altcoins, then no problem to purchase them! But as you know, the is a chance that trending project will dump when the trend is end. So before that you should have to sold your share, with good price. That's all. But when it's come to long term projects then you must need to purchase those kind of project what have potentiality for long teme period. Don't go with project that is offering you lots of benefits but you should select that altcoins what might be slow growing but safe and secure like ether or bnb. In my opinion

It depends on your actual goals. If you're a risk taker and want to potentially see quicker profits, following trends can be an option. However, for those seeking a more buy-and-hold approach for the long term (a few months to years), focusing on established altcoins with strong projects or those within the top 5 by market cap might be a better strategy. As for me, I have a higher risk tolerance and am comfortable with potential fluctuations, so I often choose to follow trends.

The rapid increase in the price of Bitcoin is a shock to many, even as we have predicted that it will beat the ATH, we didn't expect it to have a rapid increase like this. I can't deny the fact that Ethereum is a good potential coin for investment but that's because it has some features like Bitcoin, and if you have observe the two of them, you see that Ethereum has been following up Bitcoins price movement and that is why it is what it is today. Ethereum is a good coin for long term holding and it's possible it might hit 8k when Bitcoin bull run after the halving starts. It's true if you meet the right short term project early it will definitely give you a worthy profit but the problem is knowing them early.

In My opinion is better to rely only on buying long term project like the world largest digital currency asset which is Bitcoin it navigates volatility and the risk of monitoring the market condition, concentrating on long term project will give you all the necessary opportunity needed to grow your asset and achieve your goals and objectives which is for future benefits which could be for retirement or creating a general wealthy. It is better to have a good plan for the future than just the present.
There would really be no assurance though yet we dont know on what the future looks like and on how it do ends up. This is why it would really be always depending on you on the risks that you could really be able to spend on. We do know that not all people would really be sharing up on the same situation on how much they had put up in regarding with their investment with crypto.Some people do make out that all in kind of investing

Actually we need to understand the market condition and base on that we should go ahead with our investment. I think you can take an advantage with both altcoins. As you already said if trend stopped then those altcoins will stop pumping. So you can invest trendy altcoins shortly and you can sold them after taking profit. And for long time investment, we should only choice good and potential altcoins from top. Otherwise random altcoins will give you a lot of pressure all the time
