I think if you already know where the new coins will end up you can put yourself in the right position, buy early and sell when you feel it has reached its limit, do it again when a similar new project appears

There is a popular saying in this space that you shouldn't fight a  trend, but rather move with it, so you don't miss out.
While it is important to invest in long term projects, don't look down on the current trend, after all, there's a reason why it is a  trend in the first place.

If I can then I will be in both but until now i dont want to take risks so I take the long term as the only choice i make at this time by being in bitcoin as a long-term investment only.
Not that i don't want to be in a project trend because indeed it is also very profitable in the end but on the other hand I am aware of my capacity because i am definitely not able to do that even though it is only about momentum but I don't want to try my luck in this case so I prefer to be in the long term for now although it does not rule out the possibility that in the end there will be a new thing maybe for me to try seasonal trends like many people do.

When it comes to your own portfolio then it would really be just that ideal and something preferred that you do have a long term hold bag which is mostly composed by Bitcoin and some top ALTCOINs in the market
and there would really be those coins or projects which are really just that good for short term. Just like me on which i do get involved with meme coins and with those altcoins which are really just that good for short term
on which on the time that i do make profits with it then this is where i do make those kind of transfers of profits into those long term bag holds on which i do really always consider on making out such step since we do know
that we could be having
To implement such a strategy is not easy, being self-disciplined and having the courage to take steps to divert it into long-term pockets is not easy, sometimes we are haunted by feelings of greed so that when the price experiences a pump we hope the price will continue to rise even though there will be an anti-climax that we need to know about. , this is where our ego will be tested

BTC to the MOON in 2019

There are many investors who move more on new trends but this is their goal oriented thinking so here their selection process can be best. If you are already making a good profit from a coin then you must sell it even if it is 50% so that your original capital is fully guaranteed. This is purely my preferred rule as I don't want to fiddle with a token for a whole month so I only want to keep a token for a few days.
If you can have good timing in trend projects, you will surely be earning a lot of money just like meme coins but missing the timing will also incur big losses and not be able to recover anymore. It is quite too risky, yet it was profitable.

But if we choose to have a safe investment (at least), we better choose long-term projects like BTC and ETH. Though they are not good at earning every day, still be giving us a profit when the bullish comes. But this choice is quite challenging for most as it needs patience which is why some sell their coin earlier.

I am a long-term investor. usually buy and then I stake. waiting for the price to rise to the target price then I sell. and after buying a stake rarely open the application. except just monitor the price has reached the desired target or not.
well, I think, most people who hold in the long term will stake, because besides holding their assets, it can also increase the assets they have.
Personally, I am a flexible investor, I will hold in the long term if I feel that the potential is good, but I will not stake, because stakes require a certain time to be able to unstake, and it is not flexible. Apart from that, I can also be a short-term investor if circumstances support that.

What is your suggestions about profit from altcoins. Should we rely on only buying long term projects or we should invest according to trend despite of looking that trends coin will have no value in future?
You don't just invest in a coin just because of the trend , this is the same thing that happened in the past. Many choose coin coin to invest and it ended as a failed project at last. Trend is not a guarantee that a coin will last and do well in the market,  instead of considering trend for investment I think it will be proper to go for reputable coin like Bitcoin or ethereum,  this coin are good for hodling and this are coin you can trust and not like the trending coin that you can predict their market value.

By long-term coin I mean Ethereum of course.

Coins like bitcoin and ethereum are advisable to hold for long-term however there are a lot of altcoins that would pump due to initial investors and then just dump after they take out their profit and will never go back up again in that case if you were able to invest and take out your investment before everyone else started selling theirs then you would have made profit

The decision of long-term or short-term investment depends on the coin you want to invest to

According to you, there are 2 types of investing in altcoins. The first is investing in altcoins for the long term. This definitely requires data on the top coins which in fact already have a high market cap. So, the chances of these altcoins surviving and continuing to grow in the market will be high. Coins like this are suitable for long-term investment. but what is certain is that this still contains risks.

While on the other hand, regarding meme coins or new coins that are still not stagnant and there is still a lot of hype in them, then this will be a short term investment. Because after all, these coins only boom for a moment and after that they are all gone, in this case they collapsed after reaching ATH. This has been felt quite often. Because it is a high risk investment, so it is better to be exactly careful with them.

Trends are new projects and are good for short term investments while coins that have lasted in the crypto market are long term projects, so they both serve their purposes for investors. Trending new projects if well researched and found to be worthy of investment are good to make profit on the short term, because they might not make it to long term, so an experienced investor will use the ROI to reinvest in long term projects. I think that this can be a perfect circle to integrate the two options, but trending coins carries far more risks because there are more scam projects than genuine ones, so there's a good chance that an investor might not make that profit on the short term to reinvest in long term projects. My personal preference if I have to go with one of them is to invest in long term projects because they've proven their reputations in the crypto market.
Trendy new projects that are worthy can mean that they can last longer. It's great because it allows us to earn in two ways. That is, immediately or for the short term. And the other is later on, or for the long term.

The only thing is that, like you said, it needs a well-researched because projects like this are now hard to find. And the ones that we can mostly see on trends are shady projects which are only short-lived. Newbie investors are advised to go on well-known projects that are built for the long term because they are more safer. Experience investors already have it, but with the skill they have they can also go for the short-term projects.

Not everyone is a market expert but good market experts can make money in both directions. To get profit from altcoin I would suggest to hold long term because holding altcoin for long term will give a person a chance to profit. By long-term coin I mean Ethereum of course. If Ethereum can be held for the long term, then a long-term holder can certainly benefit.

don't compare utility altcoins with meme coins, utility altcoin prices take a long time to rise because they take time to build utility while meme coin prices tend to rise quickly because they rely solely on hype. So which one is the best for long term investment? of course an altcoin with high utility.

It just depends on what type of trader you are? Some people would prefer to play it safe and only invest on long-term assets/projects and if you are into high risk high reward with the hype and viral altcoins to push your luck then it's for you. I don't know why people still compare these two type of investments, you can switch inbetween those if you feel like it. Nothing limits you from investing on anything.

Personally I'm more into long-term projects and rarely do trend projects if I have enough research about that particular project.

When I see good utility in any project. I check the marketcap and buy if it's low. I also DCA if I see that it keeps going down in value because I know every project has it struggling moment.i did that for INJ and I was able to take profit at $38 which is not bad. So, my suggestion is buying them before they pump and taking some profit when they pump. When you make good research, you will notice most of these coins before any pump. And if you are scared to take profit, you can use features like Liquidity adding or Bitget smart portfolio to automatically take profit as their value increase.

It depends but due to the current market conditions i will prefer to invest in short-term projects where my investment can easily return .Btc has not been stable since 2021 so personally don't like holding crypto-assets anymore cause i lost so much during that dip .Have learnt my lesson since then will always prefer short time investment when it comes to cryptocurrency.

Based on my experience, no one can tell you clearly whether you should keep these coins for long term or not, but I can definitely say that if you have a fund, it should be an extra fund. So, if you hold a project, it may be that the project will give you profit and it may also be that the project ends completely, so I will say that choose strong project then invest in it, it can definitely benefit you, the chances of loss are very low.

You should know that the crypto markets tend to celebrate new trends and there are some crazy investors who rush to invest when they see a new trend. As a result they eat losses and many make good profits. However many people fell victim to scam schemes from old ico, ieo but in that respect ido management still holds a strong market share. Many new projects are successfully getting top sales from ido which is really commendable.

For short-term profit you should follow the trend; otherwise, you won't make any money. In this industry, money follows trends, and we have seen this before. When there was a meme trend all the meme projects started pumping, and even those scam meme projects as well. Investors blindly invested their money in those projects, so all the projects started pumping. But if you are looking for long term success and don't want to take much risk then explore long-term projects like bitcoin and ETH.
Of course money can grow if we follow the current global trends in the crypto world. The airdrop trend, for example, TIA staking was very trend yesterday which can give us money growth so that several times airdrops have come to give more money than staking capital. and of course everything has a specified time period and we have to update the crypto world news
