Well, this is probably the most 2 giants in 2018, I think it is necessary to invest in such coins , as they can give a very large profit !
Both coins are certainly good for a long investment , but if we consider for now then I'm certainly for eos , but so for a short-term form, you can invest in tron they now run their blockchain
TRON can be a good coin for short term investing. However, for long term investing, it's highly recommended to choose EOS over TRON. This is because, EOS is active in development and innovation. It depends, any of them has its features but i'm more hopeful about EOS , that thing seems to have a better team and can have a place in top 5 on the coinmarketcap but Tron seems to have some issues and i think Vitalic doesn't like it very much.

For me EOS is the best Altcoin after Bitcoin and Ethereum. Because EOS has good project for future of EOS and will make us gest big profit in our life. So if you invest your money on EOS you can gets the profit.
Both coins have really a good tem and good marketing promotion (maybe Tron has better marketing campaigns). i think they will both survive in next years and I'm holding both of them.

If you are focusing solely on these two coins then my choice would be EOS as the team leaders have proven track record in crypto. EOS has also raised huge sums of money with their year long ICO and are the most likely to have adequate funding to carry the project going forward. I have only heard of Tron second hand through previous investors and from those discussions would not invest.
TRX today is probably one of the most successful projects of our time. I have been watching this project for a very long time. I think that this is a really great opportunity. Therefore, in cases between this choice, I definitely make a choice in favor of TRX
