Exactly. The numbers speak for themselves. It's better off to focus on projects that deliver results, instead of hype. EOS is one of those projects which has been delivering good results both in development and innovation. On the other hand, TRON hasn't developed something truly innovative, but it has focused on hype and marketing instead. EOS can be greatly compared to ETH, because of the dedication and commitment from its developers. That's not the case with TRON, as it seems to be a copy of Ethereum with a few minor improvements.
Of course, both EOS and TRON are open source projects that can be improved by anyone without limitations. Based on this, if TRON gets adopted by a prominent team of developers, then it can be compared to leading cryptocurrencies on the market.
Nonetheless, it's a matter of choice whenever someone wants to invest into one of the mentioned cryptocurrencies, or on both to see their outcome in the future.
