Have anyone dealt with high DH value (device hardware errors)?
Now I have three Avalon 851 with DH=14%, 35% and 50% and reduced hashrate respectively.
I could suppose it is a single defect with one miner or hashboard, but it's happened with 3 miners out of 5 one after another during 4 months after purchase.
Particularly alarming, that all of the troubled miners worked with "Low power" firmware (2018-12-22) since purchasing, while other miners from the same batch worked with high-performance firmware all the time and they are ok now (firmware 2018-06-28). It's a strange coincidence.
All miners worked in the same environment - in a cool room with good ventilation and ambient temperature 18C.
Low power mode means more gentle conditions for hardware - lower frequency, lower heating. How could hashboards degrade so fast in low power mode?
Sounds like nonsense, but is the "Low Power mode" danger for hashboards on long working period?
Or it's just inexplicable coincidence and manufacturing defect?
Canaan removed DH parameter from cgminer status page (it was present at the page for Avalon7) and it was a bad idea to remove it for Avalon8, because it is the most important health indicator alongside with power good indicator.
Additionally, the status page now shows miner's individual hashrate without considering hardware errors and it is difficult to notice the growth of hardware errors.
You are looking at individual miners hashrates and they are ok. But overall daisy-chain hashrate gradually decreases month by month.
And then one day a few months later you look and realize that it's become steadily smaller than before.

Individual miners hashrate is 9093 and 8772, but overall hashrate isn't exceeded 12800 (should be ~17800) after 1 hour of heating.
cgminer log shows:
DH[14.638%] for miner A851S-0-1 and DH[54.779%] for miner A851S-0-2
But healthy miners have DH not greater 2-3% after 10-15 minutes of heating

I tried to switch power mode to HighPerformance, individual miners hashrate grow up to ~15000 but overall hashrate of two miners isn't exceeded 20000 because DH ratio has not changed significantly.
I replaced raspberry pi, auc3, wires and did a pi and mm firmware downgrade/upgrade – no results.
Power is good, I replaced power supplies, all pmu lights are green and cgminer logdump shows correct voltages on hash boards.
I submitted a support ticket to canaan several days ago and haven't heard back from them.
I owned a lot of Avalon7 for 2 years and there were no problems with them all the time. Canaan devices were famous for their reliability.
Now I'm really upset about Avalon 851.
Any idea what else to try?
