Istanbulspor did not make any remarkable transfers. They will play in the Super League with their squads in almost a lower league. Trabzonspor retained their champion squad and transferred new quality players. Nothing is certain in football, but I do not expect any surprises in this match because there is a huge difference in squad quality between the two teams.

Fans? I don't think İstanbulspor have any fans, except maybe families of players, LOL. People in İstanbul have local teams that they are fan of, nobody in their right mind would be a fan of city team as it's a metropolitan already with the biggest three clubs of Türkiye.
If this would be a fifth week game I would definitely bet on Trabzonspor but as I said in my previous posts there are multiple factors that make this bet very dangerous. Better be cautious then losing money.

Also it's a Friday game, we know how Friday games go on. Trabzonspor's win odds are at 1.51 in İddaa. All signs show a draw to me but Trabzonspor might win this game. Galatasaray has now announced that it is interested in one of Chelsea's midfielders, Hakim Ziyech. It is said that Chelsea wanted 7 million euros for this player, and Hakim was willing to play in Galatasaray. I don't know if Galatasaray has any money left, but maybe they can hire Ziyech.

The problem is not them coming when they are old, it's them not providing anything. Like the famous Falcao situation, or even a bit of Robin Van Persie, or even Roberto Carlos. If they are there so they could network and make money and not play games then it would be a bad idea and it would hurt the team. But we have also seen a lot of players that came in after 30 and played amazingly.

Most famously Hagi came in when all of his barcelona and all that career was over and this was at a time when players retired at 32-33 range, and he came in at something like 30 and won a europa with them. So, will Mertens be just taking it relax, or will he work hard, that's the point.

I totaly agree with your arguments. Mertens is 35 years old. 2+1 year contract are totaly absurd. 4 million Euro per year are wastage.

Also, Pisa transferred to the Olimpiu Moruţan. The deal will be in the form of loan and an option to buy.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Lucas Torreira has just accepted to join Galatasaray. Torreira will fly to Istanbul in the next day. Arsenal will receive around €6/7m fee for Torreira.

Dries Mertens was a top class striker but he past his prime and he's at the end of his career. This may be his last big contract and from what I've heard he will get big money from this deal. Galatasaray can't pay 4 million Euro per year under this economic circumstances. I hope they won't do a mistake like that again. No need to go very far, just remember Falcao. Galatasaray have an interest in signing Mertens because he has a lot of experience in Europe's top leagues (not a matter of age), Napoli's all-time top scorer's contract will expire soon, even I saw news that he rejected Juventus because he didn't want to betray Napoli. The question is, will he really go to Galatasaray after rejecting Juventus who are a stronger team than Galatasaray?

Galatasaray was having a successful transfer season until now. By the way, I heard that they have reached an agreement with the Italian player. I don't understand why they gave so much to a football player of this age, and what kind of expectation they have. They have been following such a strategy for many years. After the age of 32, every football player can come to Turkey and earn money. This is a very good country for them, teams love older players. The fact that they can only play for half an hour in matches is enough for team managers.
