Coincidentally I saw the match between Fenerbahce and Galatasaray today and what can I say? Galatasaray played great football and with this team they would have the potential to play in European competitions. Icardi's last goal was really extremely nice and that with his actually weak foot!

Galatasaray got clean win today against Fenerbahçe. Fenerbahçe preferred to use their efficient wingers but Galatasaray has fast wingers as well so could stop Fenerbahçe from playing better. Fenerbahçe didn't exploit weak thing about Galatasaray which is its central midfield. I feel like Okan Buruk did good putting fast players on pitch at derby with high tempo. Kerem performed well.
I only liked Ferdi a bit in Fenerbahçe side. They kept losing ball trying to move in attack. It killed their game.

Icardi's entering the match made Galatasaray even more productive. He made an assist and scored a really lovely goal. I was really shocked by İrfan's red card as well. He was in by the 70th minute and out by the 86th minute because of that action of him.

Galatasaray had a really impressive performance in the first half. Oliveira's goal came thanks to a great shot and Altay's job wasn't easy to save that for sure. Galatasaray had some other chances to increase the goal difference more but they couldn't take advantage of them. There was a goal of them which was disallowed due to offside as well. Muslera also played well with good saves. Rashica was nearly making the score 2-0 right before the end of the first half. In short, it was a start that was way different than I imagined.

But now in the second half Fenerbahce have started to find more chances to score a goal. If Galatasaray continue to let them find so many chances it wouldn't be surprising to see the equalizer by Fenerbahce sooner or later.

Galatasaray team took the lead against fenerbahce on the first half it is an intense game both teams had some chances but the leaders were the ones who managed to come off on top, this result is really good for them even if fenerbahce manage to score which i think they can the draw will still be a good result.
