Galatasaray today won yet another league game to establish an 11-points difference above second placed Fenerbahce after they defeated Göztepe with a 2:1 scoreline. The Turkish champions have been absolutely amazing with their performances in the league this season so I wasn't surprised to see them get a home win against Göztepe. Victor Osimhen who's currently on loan at the club was able to find the back of the net again to take his total tally this season to 13 goals in 16 appearances. The Nigeria forward seems to be on fire and doesn't look like one who's slowing down anytime soon.
It was a hard-fought victory for the Yellow and Reds. Victor Osimhen gave them the lead after he converted the penalty bringing his tally to ten goals in the Turkish League. The penalty was given when Djalma Silva fouled Kaan Ayhan. The Nigerian striker who is a subject of hot transfer discussion is now involved in seventeen goals in sixteen matches which is a good statistic. Galastataray's poor defending will always cause them to lose the lead but they were able to get another goal. Gotzepe fought hard to level up the score but I give kudos to the Galastataray defence that kept on holding them back and frustrating their moves to get a goal. Okan Buruk's side has now extended the lead and will play with Istanbul Başakşehir. Galatasaray will be hoping that Osimhen remains in the club till the end of the season.

Trabzonspor continues to fail to win with this expensive squad. Today they lost to Samsunspor and stayed close to the relegation line. They won't be relegated but their current situation is bad enough. Such an expensive squad is unlikely to play in European cups next season. They have star players like Simon Banza, Muhammed Cham, Anthony Nwakaeme but they can't win. I guess Şenol Güneş can't adapt to the new football. His tactics are outdated.

I don't think Galatasaray defense is very weak although Fenerbahce defense looks stronger. It makes sense if Galatasaray defense is not really strong, there are no big names among the defenders. Galatasaray are in such a wonderful form at the moment and they seem to be invincible in the Turkish football league this season, it's their fourth consecutive win yet they seem unstoppable at the top of the table, if they continue to be consistent in this manner then they might set a new record in point difference before the end of the season because right now in the league there is no other team that is as proactive as Galatasaray, thanks to the attacking partnership between Mauro Icardi and Victor Osimhen which i think is one of the best things to have happened to Galatasaray in recent times.

Ernest Muçi scoring a goal is a plus, the fact that it came from an individual effort is a minus. There is a Beşiktaş that can't score goals in team play. They are neither effective in set plays nor on the counter-attack. Their offensive variations are insufficient. Players are not playing in their own positions, this has a big effect. However, the most important shortcoming is that the will and spirit to win is not reflected on the pitch. These are the first things the new manager must solve. The team needs a new atmosphere. This is not something that can only be done with transfers. The mentality needs to be renewed from top to bottom.

Besiktas are slipping away from their dreams to play in European league next season, they have been poor this season, dropping points in matches they should win. Besiktas have just one win in their last 9 matches in all competitions, it really bad for them. Besiktas was lucky not to lose this match. Rizespor had 21+ shots with expected goals of 2.77!! Besiktas just got lucky in this match and got a point that they did not deserve. Beskitas is sitting at 5th position and if they reach a europe spot this season it will be a big achivememt. To see such a big club barely fighting for europe is just shamefull. Rizespor should have won this match.

There is no contract extension. If not in January, Napoli will sell him at the end of the season at the latest. According to the current situation, there is an environment where whoever pays 75 million Euro will get him. Whether it will be PSG, an English club or another Italian club is uncertain at the moment. But one thing is clear, Turkish clubs can't pay 75 million Euro for any player. There is no such economy in Türkiye. This is both very risky and pointless. You can't invest that much on a single player. If the player gets injured, the club will not be able to get out from under that debt for years. The job doesn't end with just paying a transfer fee, there is the player's salary, taxes, bonuses. The cost of Osimhen staying in Türkiye for 3 years would be almost 150 million Euro. No club has this financial power. And there is no logic to this.
No club in Türkiye can take on such a financial burden, but the news constantly says that resources are found for Osimhen's transfer.
