Definitely was a big nail biter. No matter how low they get, Trabzonspor is always a difficult game and they played a very attacking game against us, which isn't something we are that much used to since we play against smaller clubs who defend against us more than they attack, so this was definitely a different situation and we weren't that much ready. With a few mistakes, we were looking quite bad and losing, however eventually we managed to pull it back off and got the win. I mean Galatasaray could win the league this season again, we are that good, but at the same time, we need to look at our defense and goalkeeper already. Whenever Sanchez doesn't play, we end up with bad results on defense, and Muslera used to be great, he is probably the greatest goalkeeper to play in all of leagues history, but not anymore, he has to leave, he is putting our season at risk, I honestly would consider moving Gunay to goal at this point.
I want to start by thanking both teams. The time of possession and the tempo of the game was high. Regardless of the result, I can say that we watched a good match. I would have said the same thing if Trabzonspor had won the match. Also, the referee of the match showed a good performance. He made a few mistakes in the first half. But he made the right decisions throughout the match. Also, I liked the performances of Abdülkerim, Mertens, Yunus and Sara in this match. They had important roles in Galatasaray's victory. By winning this match, we took the psychological advantage in the league. There are easier matches in the fixture for us now.
Of course this is another interesting match, not just the goals but the performance from both team, the tempo, intensity and almost everything about the match was perfect. The Galatasary defense have been the problem this season, they have scored more goal than any other team in the league so far but the way they concede it so poor especially when Sanchez is not playing. Trabzonspor have always been a big match against Galatasary even when they are doing badly they always put out a good game and this match is one of it again. Good win to Galataxary.
The referee played a good role in this match, just like you said, he made some few mistakes in the first half but he was better in the second half. He coordinated the match very well and make sure the game was played at it best. I think the Turkish league referees have improved this season not just in this match but overall this season, they are doing better now and it a good thing.
Recently they are conceding too many goals in all tournaments combined. Like the Trabzonspor game example.
