The Super League is returning after this national break. We have a really tough match ahead of us against Samsunspor away. Because they are one of the surprise teams of the season. We see them at the 2nd place in the standings. I watched them against Beşiktaş at the beginning of the season. They lost maybe but they had really dangerous goal attempts. While we are lacking in defense I hope we don't mess up here. Sad

Samsunspor made a great start to the league, everyone was surprised by this performance. Moreover, they achieved this despite the 2-term transfer ban they received from FIFA. They entered this season without any transfers and they will not be able to make any transfers in the winter transfer period. The points they get in these weeks will undoubtedly be worth gold for them at the end of the league. Maybe they are playing with this motivation...
Samsunspor performance is impressive and their could even be better than favourites teams in the league like fenerbache and besiktas at this time, I personally don't know about their transfer ban, but if that is true, can you tell me the reason for the ban?
but I see if the last time, they made a transfer was in the winter of 2024  just bringing two players, but despite it all of course the performance they are currently showing in the league is really great, especially since they only got two defeats and 6 wins from 8 matches that has been played, I think what samsunspor has shown shows that hard work,  an unyielding attitude and mentality are able to make a team solid and organized to overcome every big challenge without must to buy new player

Antalyaspor vs Galatasaray

This is the match that I think is the most interesting on the first day of the opening for week 9 and in the match later it will take place in the New Antalya Stadium which is the home ground for Antalyaspor, they have the advantage as the host but I don't think they can beat Galatasaray.
In the 8 match so far Galatasaray have appeared very strong by being an undefeated team and only having 1 draw with the remaining 7 matches won, even though Galatasaray played away, it still shows that they are the favorites and have the opportunity to win again.
I bet by taking two options, namely Asian Total Over 2.5 and win for Galatasaray which is odds @1.75, I have full confidence in Galatasaray.

Antalyaspor is getting not so bright results with their new coach Alex de Souza. That's why they won't resist Galatasaray. Although Galatasaray has shown some problems in defense in recent games, they have also shown that they are very strong in offense. They had a surprise draw against Rigas FC in the Europa League. This makes me think. Antalyaspor is not a team with a very bad squad, but if they can draw in this game, they can be considered successful. I think Galatasaray can easily win this game under normal conditions.
Whether Galatasaray has overcome the problems in the defense line or not will be clear in this match. If we make mistakes like in the Rigas match, we may lose points in this match, who knows, although I don't think Galatasaray will win with a guarantee, they will most likely win the match away.

Alex De Souza hasn't been able to get the results he wanted with Antalyaspor so far, if they get points from Galatasaray, it will be very important.

The transfer ban on Samsunspor would have had some performance effect on the club since they can no longer boost their team with new players due to FIFA ban, but that wasn't the case starting the season, now they had to manage and utilize what they have.

They've played a total of 8 games so far, won 6 and lost 2 and currently occupying the second spot with 18 points, behind league leaders Galatasaray, the performance has been good, and work to get the best of those players they have their.

Samsunspor is one of the dangerous teams in the league, they played very well in the Beşiktaş match but they could not score, if they had scored they would have won that match easily.
Fenerbahçe's job is really difficult this week. They may lose points.

Galatasaray will play with Antalyaspor, I hope we do not lose points in this match.

In short, Osimhen is more of a fighter for capturing the balls. He doesn't just wait in offense area to finish the passes with a goal. He likes to go into challenges and force the competitor to make mistakes. This is a good trait of him. Because Icardi isn't like him. He is more of a finisher as you know.  Wink  So it is good to have another forward who can play more versatile.

Most probably our coach will return to 4-4-2 again with Osimhen's recovery. Because we have all seen how much it worked the last time. I don't doubt our offense even a bit. But I'm not thinking the same for defense...
I am also one of those who think that Galatasaray has big problems in the defense area. Because they conceded two goals against an average team in the Europa League. In fact, I can say that they conceded two goals against the weakest team in the Europa League, they are not even an average team. When Osimhen is on the field, they can be much more effective in the attacking area at least. In both scenarios, they give some gaps in the defense and the opposing teams take very good advantage of these gaps. If Galatasaray needs to improve one area, that area should definitely be the defense area. Since Sacha Boey left the team, his area has become an area where there are too many gaps.

Barış Alper is obviously in trouble, we need to get this player back.

Barış Alper played a lot of games last season and entered this season with physical fatigue. Also, he received some important transfer offers from Europe, but Galatasaray didn't let him go. So there are some question marks in his mind. He didn't enter this season fully ready. I think he needs some time... Also, Galatasaray will renew his contract with an improvement. I think this will have a positive effect on his performance and after a few weeks he will slowly start to show signs of returning to his old performance...

Yes, I agree with you on this. Baris Alper is a player who plays National matches, Süper League matches and European matches all the time, so he is very tired. After resting he can get back to his old performance.
Also increasing his salary will be very effective in his performance.

Icardi and Osimhen are very good players, everyone knows that.

If Gabriel Sara nurtures these two players very well, they can achieve incredible things. Our team has some deficiencies, but they are not insurmountable.

We replaced Kerem with Yunus. Barış Alper is obviously in trouble, we need to get this player back.

In every team there is one player who is the most good and hardworking to play with, of which Osimhen has proven to be.  In some matches Ircadi leads and in others Osimhen. But I am not much interested in both of them although they play well but are not capable enough to impress everyone with their performance.I don't think the coach deserves what he made Osimhen do.  Although he has explained how to play, but Osimhen hard work and success in it.  But most people support the coach.  I believe that the game is difficult without it but it is up to the player to play.

Icardi plays like a center forward, Osimhen plays like a striker. I think Galatasaray have two good players but it will not be easy to use them at the same time. The truth is that in the Turkish league it's not a problem for them to play two stars because they have easy opponents in the Turkish league but in European games I don't think they will be able to use two stars at the same time. I'm sure their coach will have a hard time deciding on this...

Osimhen seems to have some very flexible legs and I doubted this would be a big thing. The hardest thing for Galatasaray is you do not bench a player like Icardi, who was the top scorer last season. I get he could play a bit differently this season, like let Osimhen be the pure striker he is destined to be, and Osimhen could play like a bit more playmaker role, he would still score when he gets the chance, but he could pass the ball around as well, he is talented about passing too, so he could fall back a bit , which he often does anyways and he could distribute a bit more, and he could be a bit behind Osimhen.

This way, since Icardi is a great scorer, when Osimhen gets all the attention, he could sneak in and score bunch of goals that way too.

Icardi's contract expires at the end of 2026. The club that wants him has to pay a transfer fee. River Plate has reportedly budgeted 15 million Euro for him. But it's not specified how much of this is the transfer fee, how much is the player's salary and how much is the signing fee. Icardi's salary is very high. If River Plate gives this money to the player, there won't be enough for the transfer fee. I don't find this news very convincing.
As for Osimhen, it's almost certain that he will leave in the middle of the season, we have said this before. Galatasaray currently has 2 top strikers and in 3 months they may lose both of them. I wonder what their plans are in this situation.
Batshuayi will remain and the situation can be solved by transferring a top-level forward in the middle of the season. If you ask me, Icardi would be better off leaving, we are paying too much money and I also think his performance has been decreasing recently, it would be good if he left while I am thinking about it. It is almost certain that Osimhen will leave as you said.

This week we will have a match against Antalyaspor, a match that we need to win, I hope the same things that happened in the previous matches will not happen in this match and Galatasaray will win comfortably.

As far as I have heard, Osimhen is expected to be back after this national break ends. There is a statement made by the manager Okan Buruk regarding this topic: beIN SPORTS

He says they just didn't want to risk Osimhen in the latest game because of his not being fully recovered. But he would be back by the next game. This is really good news for Galatasaray without doubt.  Smiley  Because he already started to make important goal contributions. Unlucky him that he got injured right after starting to score his first goals.  Sad  As there is a Beşiktaş derby closing in too, they would really need him there.

But they should especially focus on their defense now just like you must have also mentioned already.

This is extremely good news for us. Because we need Osimhen. Because Icardi is not in a good period, both physically and mentally. There are rumors in the press that Wanda Narra is trying to convince him to return to Argentina. There is talk that he could move to River Plate in the winter transfer window. There is no doubt that Icardi could have had a better career. But Wanda Narra always got him into trouble. I think Icardi is very unlucky in this regard.

What you see happening in the Turkish league is as a result of the influx of star players from all over Europe and at such one should expect the big sides like Galatasaray and Fenerbahce to loose some important games because just as they are recruiting big players in same vein their counterparts are also doing the same which makes it difficult for a particular team to hold sway for a long time in the league, I believe the competition in turkey is not going to be too rossy for Galatasaray despite the fact they managed to attract a number of great players during the transfer window.

In my opinion, the Turkish league is similar to the Saudi league. I am talking about attracting players who are ready to retire or who are not wanted by the other big teams in Europe. The difference between the Turkish league and the Saudi league is that the Saudi league offers a lot of money to foreign players and the Saudi league has less quality than the Turkish league. But it is necessary for the Turkish league to start creating a good financial environment to attract good players who are young and have the best skills. I say this because it is clear that Turkish teams do not get very far in European competitions constantly.

Most of the teams that are in this Europa League image:

They are not champions in their local leagues and do not dominate in their local leagues. But they will perform better than Galatasaray, who are champions of the Turkish league and dominate the Turkish league.
well, while I won't disagree with the salient points you made in your comment I however don't agree with all because from my end I think the Turkish league clubs have been doing great accordingly to the strength of their league in Europe football. They ain't a renowned league like the rest of the EPL, Laliga, Seire A and the German bundlesliga which the press carry about at their back and I think this has been part of the success of these other league's which has gained the attraction of every player in Europe (making the Turkish league an alternative) and not mainly that some of these teams pay their players so much money that some of the Turkish club's can't afford to.

In the case of the Europa League, the winners have been teams that have not been champions in their local leagues very often. Some of them have not even had a chance of being champions for many years. For example in the case of Sevilla, when you look at Sevilla in the league, anyone can see that they have no chance of being champions, and looking at Sevilla market value: €173.10m

https://www.transfermarkt.us/fc-sevilla/startseite/verein/368

But Sevilla has won the Europa League many times. Just look at this list:

https://www.transfermarkt.com/europa-league/erfolge/pokalwettbewerb/EL

and as I said before, Galatasaray has dominated the Turkish League, they beat all the teams in the Turkish league with relative ease, but in European competitions, they can't win anything, and Galatasaray seems to have a better squad than Sevilla for example. Galatasaray market value: €262.05m

https://www.transfermarkt.us/galatasaray/kader/verein/141

In my opinion Galatasaray could at least win the Europa League.
There are teams that seem like they specialise in winning some competitions like the case of Sevilla and the Europa league and same could be said about galatasaray and the Turkish league but talking about European competitions like the Europa League where the Turkish club are currently participating, I would rather say that Galatasaray haven't really built the capacity to achieve such feat over the years due to their inconsistent run in the competition but that not withstanding, this season they seem like one of the favourites to win the competition with the kind of squad they possessed at the moment.
