Many people said the same when they lost against PSG at the first leg of the round of 16 but they proved that they are not that bad. Predicting 5-1 is just too much imho, I dont think MU will lose with too much goal difference. 2-0 or 3-1 seems to be more realistic. Indeed Barcelona is the favorite, but lets dont forget that previous come back.
People are talking too much about the ManU comeback while ignoring the comeback match that Barcelona did to PSG back then, it even ways more remarkable. Nevertheless, I'd agree big gap in the scores is less likely to happen, and I'm sure today ULC fixture matches will be tight.

Manchester United has very little chances tonight if any because Barcelona in Camp Nou is like a giant.Manchester does not have the quality players to fight against such giant and tonight a draw for them would be a really good result. It is an almost sure thing that Barcelona qualifies tonight.

For tomorrow's games, I'll go with this :

Juve / Ajax 2-2 (yeah yeah I know but I'm a believer lol).
Barca / MU 5-1 (I'v said it before, I don't think MU belongs at this level).

Would love to see Ajax get to the semi final, I think Juve will just edge past them though.

I share the same sentiment, but If Ajax can score at least a goal first tonight, it might happen.
I'm having a small bet on Ajax to qualify for the semifinals though.

the second leg tonight, Barcelona vs Manchester United. I am looking forward to it. it was very difficult for ManU be able to win at Camp Nou. but I'm sure Ole got a recipe for beating Barcelona tonight. It seems like it's impossible, I hope for a surprise from ManU. hope to get magic like against PSG. and ran to the semifinals

You'd have to look elsewhere for Ole's magic to work, definitely not against Barcelona at the Nou Camp, It's going to be long night for the Man Utd fans, and It's certain that their journey in this year's UCL ends tonight.

-snip-
It is the Son effect.
He really stepped up to his game from the very fast time Kane out of the team squad. Ever since then, He has been reliable whenever Kane is out.

My prediction will be

Juventus 2 - 0 Ajax
City 4 - 1 Spurs
Barca 3 - 0 United
Porto 2 - 2 Liverpool

Interesting prediction there.
I think that Manchester United will not score any goal and the score will be 3-0 , 4-0 in favor of Barca.
With regards to the other match I am not going to bet anything.

My prediction:
Juventus vs Ajax : Ajax will not give them a chance to score easily but I think Juventus can find a way out for them. 2 - 0 for Juventus I would say.
Barcelona va Man Utd : 2 - 1
Man City vs Tottenham : 2 - 0 Although I wish they lose. (For some reason actually EPL, I can not stand City LOL)
Porto vs Liverpool : 0 - 3 Come on Liverpool! We need both CL and EPL 🙂

Ajax will be without Tagliafico on the left wing for the return leg. He got a yellow card and is suspended for the 2nd match. Lasse Schone limped off because of an injury, I don't know how serious that is. Ajax is also still fighting with PSV for the league title so they can't afford to play badly in the league meaning they have to filed a strong lineup during the weekend. Juventus on the other hand has an 18 points advantage in the league and will be playing SPAL. At least 7 starters will be rested during that match and that could end up being the advantage the Juve needs to qualify for the next round.

I think it would be very unwise of Juve to sit back and think they've got this in the bag. Ajax could be the dark horse of the tournament. They turned over Real Madrid away and I think RM seriously underestimated them having a 2-1 advantage from the first leg and two away goals and it cost them in the end. Real Madrid might not be the team they were the last few tournaments but all they were really missing was Ronaldo and Zidane. I think Real probably will win at home but they certainly should'nt take their foot off the gas and assume this will be a walk-over.
My initial prediction was correct. Juventus will be resting many first team starters for tomorrows league match so they can be 100% fit for the return leg VS Ajax.
Take a look at the called up players VS SPAL that features some U21 players as well:

1. Szczesny 2. De Sciglio 6. Khedira 10. Dybala 12. Alex Sandro 15. Barzagli 16. Cuadrado 18. Kean 19. Bonucci 20. Cancelo 21. Pinsoglio 22. Perin 30. Bentancur 33. Bernardeschi 37. Spinazzola 38. Coccolo 39. Kastanos 40. Mavididi 41. Nicolussi Caviglia 43. Gozzi

Kane is out until  rest of the season
it is official bad luck for Spurs
Personally my dream final was Juve-Ajax
Now Ajax-Barca  Ajax win 4-3

I was interested in how Kane's absence was going to affect Spur's odds going forward, and weirdly Tottenham have a higher win percentage when Kane isn't playing (although the sample size is much smaller):

With Kane:

- 39 Games
- 61.5% win percentage
- 1.9 average goals scored

Without Kane:

- 8 Games
- 66.7% win percentage
- 1.9 goals scored

(Stats from this article)

So weirdly they tend to score the same amount whether Kane is there or not, and actually his absence might not affect the team as much as I first thought. Maybe because it gives Son more freedom to roam?

Ronnie @ Cloudbet

thanks for this stats. I think Son is more important than Kane at this moment. he gave some very important scores while last Kane injury.

It's an undeniable fact that Son is in a better form than Harry Kane, but going by the stats I think 39 games with Kane @ 61.5% is very impressive. It could have been possible to have an easy run of fixtures between eight games, but there's definitely no way of avoiding a relatively high number of tough games over 39 matches.
