Man city really showed what they are made of tonight, for not allowing Real Madrid to defeat them, instead of a defeat, man city settled for a draw. This is a good result for city as they will be taking advantage of the second leg at home. The second leg should be a payback time to Real Madrid, because last year they sent city home from the semifinals. Real Madrid is the league favourite and this makes them more experienced in the league than city but I don't think that city will give it up to them the second time. What a classic equaliser goal from De Bruyne to still keep the city on track. So many yellow cards in the game Grealish and Carvajal were rivals in the match. One mistake that Real Madrid did was that they forgot how dangerous De Bruyne is and they put all their focus on Haaland
The truth is that the UEFA championship this season belongs to Manchester City, and even though their performance in today's match was a little bit out of formation, because for them to have allowed Real Madrid to obtain a 1 goal lead up till the second half of the match shows how weak their defense and attacking position are, because of not for luck that was on their side there could have not equalized the goal and the match could have ended in 1:0 in favor of Madrid.
Real Madrid and Manchester City were evenly matched. Both teams did a good job of playing and defending against the opponent. Haaland was entirely knocked out of the game. He doesn't put the defense of Real Madrid under much pressure. Real Madrid would have won if it weren't for Kelvin Bruyne's goal, which drew the game.
A draw is preferable to a defeat for Manchester City. Real Madrid was playing at home, therefore I was expecting at least a win or a draw for them. Because no matter how excellent a team is better than them, they hardly ever lose in champions league matches at home.
Manchester City needs to win the champions league at all costs, and must now demonstrate this in the second leg. Real Madrid must continue to play strong defense like they did today, otherwise, Manchester City will overwhelm them with goals.
