Pep Guardiola made a noticeable mistake in the 2021 champion league final leg clash against Chelsea. He decided to place De Bruyn in the central forward position which is very much unlike the Gabriel Jesus, Marehz and Foden (or de Bruyn) three men attacking. He had never done this before in that tournament but he decide to come up with it in the final and this didn't work for him like he anticipated cuz Tuchel had a way of overcoming him. In this season's champion league, Guardiola may succeed if he leaves sentiment and play his normal style against Real Madrid but if he wants to invoke something new, he might lose this golden chance
