I don't think Real Madrid's not-so-good performance in the Spanish La Liga should be a yardstick to measure how they're gonna performance in the UEFA Champions League competition. Yesterday's defeat against Girona in their league match, I think was caused by the fact that Real Madrid wasn't playing out their heart in that match. As a matter of fact, they rested some of their key players in other to retain their energy and keep them fully fit for the match against Manchester City.
Pep Guardiola's Manchester City won't even want to rate Madrid by their performance in their league because Madrid is known as specialists when it comes to the Champions League competition.

I agree with you. La Liga's performance should not be compared with Champions League performance. Inter Milan and AC Milan are performing very poorly in Serie A. But two teams have managed to qualify for the semi-finals of the Champions League.

In my opinion this match is going to be the highlight of the season. Real Madrid does not appear to be focusing on LaLiga after Barcelona took a significant advantage in the standings so it’s very important for them beating such a strong opponent. Many fans and supporters are not giving the white house any chance of winning the UCL which is logical based on each team's recent results we clearly see that’s true and we can give a big advantage for Manchester City. However both teams have a history together in past UCL versions and we may see Manchester seeking revenge this time.

Halaand’s team is currently one of the strongest European teams thanks to Guardiola's tactics and his wise choices with players on his bench, allowing his superstars to rest for important games. His goal in clear agreement with the Manchester City leaderships is to win all possible trophies this season after missing out on them in previous seasons. Despite this formidable combination I am still going to put my bets on Real Madrid XD

Last season Real also played against 3 English clubs, Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool and was better in all those matches.
I think you agree that Chelsea and Liverpool played much better last season but still had no chance against Real.
It seems to me that Real likes to play against English clubs and mostly always wins, and I somehow have a feeling that Real will win again and win another Champions League, and that history will repeat itself.
Manchester City brought in a great striker, Haaland, but I don't think it will be enough for them to beat Real.
It's hard to describe it in words, but Real has something that no other club in Europe has, a kind of charisma, an invincible character, an inexplicable x-factor that makes them always win in uncertain and open matches of the Champions League.

I'm also not going to judge Real Madrid's strength from their performance in La Liga for the Champions League, because it could be that at this point Real Madrid prefers to save the energy of its players and a precise strategy to use in matches in the Champions League. So that Real Madrid at this point are not really paying attention to La Liga anymore for the rest of this season.

If Manchester City deserved to go through, we (Real Madrid) deserved to do it too.
