Inter this season had opposite performance in champion league that since group stage until today they were successfully to eliminate their opponents and Benfica also has became an their victim because surprisingly they were lose with scores 2-0 and now Benfica have to win at least with 3 goals margin if they want to advance to semifinal and this is very hard for them
For Inter they are in the comfortable position because all they have to do is to get draw results today or lose with 1 goal margin only but as a host Inter had favourable positions because they will playing in the front of their own fans and it will boosted their mentally because the fans directly will support them besides that Inter were quite strong at home in champion league and so far only Bayern who able to beat them at their home
Benfica conditions doesn't looks good because in all competitions Benfica has lose 3 times streak and only able to scored 1 goal and my prediction is Inter had good chances to beat Benfica again especially they always be performing good in champion league and Inter has odds @2.17 and about final scores probably 1-0 and if Inter can able to win and qualified then we will see Milan derby on semifinal later
To be honest, the result in the first leg was beyond my expectations. I didn't think that Inter could win their match at Benfica headquarters. although in theory and analysis, it is in accordance with what I previously suspected. however, the result is quite surprising. and yes, I lost the first leg betting.
Speaking of the fight in the second leg that will be held today, actually Inter is more fortunate because it plays in front of its own public. but I wouldn't be surprised if Simone Inzaghi will continue to use the same pattern and system, Inzaghi will still use the 3-5-2 formation.
by the way, Inter only needed a draw to qualify for the next phase. So, I'm sure Inzaghi will prioritize his defense more.
On the other hand, trailing by two goals in the first game. like it or not, Roger Schmidt had to maximize his team to win this fight. so there is no option for Benfica to play with an offensive pattern, just like in the first match, only this time Benfica will play it all out. referring to the predicted line-up that Benfica will apply, nothing has changed like during the first match with the 4-3-2-1 formation pattern. Goncalo Ramos, remains a pure striker to break into the Inter defense. I suspect that Benfica will dominate the game and try to play aggressively from the first minute the whistle sounded. So, my estimation, a win for Benfica.
