Obviously Lampard tactics was so poor and didn't work out last night, because you can't play such pattern against a team like Real Madrid and expect to defend the game till the end without them scoring a single goal, I guess he didn't go their to win the game initially, he wanted to get a draw, so this was why he didn't forced attack at the beginning, Until the first goal came and distorted their whole plans for the game. Looking at Chelsea's performance last night, it's now obvious that they got zero chance of qualifying, with most of their key players now on yellow cards.
I think with the current situations of Chelsea it's hard to beat Real Madrid and i am sure Lampard has realized this and even so with Chelsea management and i think they won't be targetting the trophy for Lampard especially champion league trophy because even before this match begin it's near to impossible for Chelsea to get that

About the match yesterday i think Lampard has did the right strategy that playing with slightly defensive style and it's not because he don't want Chelsea to win but we all know Real Madrid is the team with loaded world class of quality players and it could be suicided if Chelsea playing with attacking style against this team because possibly they will lose more than 2 goals and now Chelsea situations will be more hard because if they want to advance to semifinal Chelsea have to win with 3 goals margin or more

Chelsea's performance wasn't particularly impressive. They performed so poorly to the extent that they can't hold onto the ball for seconds without Real Madrid taking it away from them. Sadly, a team like Chelsea is disorganized or unprepared to prevail in matches with the caliber of players they have. They just showed their level of seriousness in today's match.
It's a pity that Chelsea has now become a mediocre club that any club(big or small) can win them easily without attempting to win or draw at least. This is so tiring and funny to her fans

Real Madrid managed to continue their dominance over Chelsea by finishing the first leg at the Bernabeu with a score of 2-0. The Real Madrid players were very confident and managed to dominate the game throughout the game. Chelsea failed to develop their game due to continued pressure from Real Madrid, Chelsea was unable to move in front of the Real Madrid fans, even though they had several opportunities, none of them managed to become goals.
Lampard had to surrender to the defeat that his team had just won, he inherited the team from Potter who was in ruins, it was difficult for him to shape Chelsea back to its best in a very short time. Chelsea had a heavy burden in the second leg, they had to score three goals without reply to qualify for the semi-finals, but it was difficult for Chelsea to surprise Real Madrid when their inconsistent performance.

Real Madrid's win was very sad as the game became very normal due to the red card of the Chelsea player. And despite having the chance to draw the game, Chelsea went one goal short and Real Madrid went ahead. As a result, if the goal difference is 2-0, Chelsea is bound to lose.
Chelsea in particular had very few attacks and Real Madrid had the ball for most of the match. And as a home ground, Real Madrid's win is a must.
The Chelsea team has been really poor this season, they need a very good coach. they was no way that Chelsea where going to win that game. Real Madrid are the king of champions League, no matter how poor they are in the Laliga, ones it comes to the champions league, they play as if they are in the best form of there life, Real Madrid are the better side, they are in second position in the Spanish Laliga even if they have not been really good this season, while Chelsea on the other hand have been very poor this season, they are not even sure yet of qualifying for any European competitions next season.
Now what to say about Chelsea? because of the fact that they really can't be relied on as a team this season. I'm not surprised by this result, because from the start Chelsea was not favored and it was only hope for them to make a surprise in the match. An aggregate of 2 goals is difficult for them in the second leg later. But like what they did with Borussia Dortmund, so I still give them a bit of hope.

unfortunately Milan only managed to lead by 1 goal. even after 1 Napoli player was sent off. there are indications that Milan is also not playing well now. even when they are playing at home.
AC Milan are not at their best, but they remain one of the teams that have been able to beat Napoli who we know are having their best year this season  in their Local League and in the Champions League. The results may not be different when AC Milan visit Napoli to play the return leg. AC Milan already have a working strategy to play Napoli and so far it has earned them two victories.

Lampard has given his best for Chelsea's players, I don't know what all these bad things are, for sure Lampard has to be tougher on his players.
Lampard even seems clueless how to put this team together, they lack goal scorers, in their game against Real Madrid, Haverts could have been in the starting and not Sterling.

I think Chelsea's current performance depends on Lampard who has to think harder to improve Chelsea's performance in every game. I'm not a Chelsea fan but hearing from some people saying how bad Chelsea is at the moment makes me concerned and it's true for me that if a Chelsea coach can't improve the performance of his players it's better to step down and not serve as a coach.IMO
but after all, Lampard has given his best for Chelsea's players, I don't know what all these bad things are, for sure Lampard has to be tougher on his players.

The two champions league matches last night were quite exciting, even though we already know who will win in Real Madrid's match against Chelsea. Throughout the game Real Madrid dominated and it was clear how Chelsea was overwhelmed by attacks from Real Madrid. The first half goals were scored by Benzema who took advantage of an assist from Vini and the second half goals were scored by Asensio who came on as a Supersub. Perhaps the thing that was quite detrimental was the red card received by Chilwell, he had to commit a foul on Rodyrgo who ran free when receiving a pass from a Real Madrid player in the match.

Milan's other game against Napoli also had to end in a loss, after Anguissa received a second yellow card that made him go off in the 74th minute. Milan's goal scored in the first half by Bennacer made the only goal in this match and sealed the win for Milan in San siro. It is clear that after the defeat of these two Napoli in both the domestic league and UCL, Napoli is so dependent on Osimhen and it is very difficult to score goals.

you are right, Napoli is totally dependent on their strongest striker osimhen, I think however Milan is better equipped for the Champions league than Napoli, even if both teams are not used to playing in the final stages of the most prestigious cup I believe that even in the return we will see a fierce Milan and will aim to go through and wait for Inter in the semifinals to make the Euro derby.

unfortunately Milan only managed to lead by 1 goal. even after 1 Napoli player was sent off. there are indications that Milan is also not playing well now. even when they are playing at home. and in the second leg, winning 1 goal will not make Milan safe when they have to play at home to Napoli. especially if osimhen can play. it provides a lot of change for Napoli's stronger game. Milan must prepare the right strategy for the match at home to Napoli.

The defect of Chelsea by Madrid was expected going by the challenges that has faced the club this season Chelsea had a good start trying to force their way into the match but Ben Chiwil red card put them in a disadvantageous position and left the struggling blues with a mountain to climb. A score line that would have been worst for Chelsea a match that fully showed how serious and focus Madrid was. I still think with a dogged effort and response laced with focus Chelsea might just be lucky to beat Madrid in the returns leg and move to the next round

Chelsea lack of attacking threat is mostly attributed to lack of a competent striker even with the millions of dollars spent last January transfer window, this lack competent attacker was evident in recent Chelsea matches including yesterday's match, Felix and Sterling aren't striker thus I am not surprised that they couldn't score from the slim chances that came there way, though I understand Lampard tactic was more of defensive play probably with counterattacks unfortunately that tactic was very counterproductive, why not play an attacking formation right from onset knowing that Real Madrid aren't in the best form in recent time, I think it will be absolutely difficult to overturn a 2-0 in Standford Bridge in their return fixture, Chelsea will have to play that match with outmost seriously because it will take many seasons to play in UCL matches again.

Truly, Real Madrid and Chelsea have come this far but I still rate Real Madrid above Chelsea in the UCL this season. You could tell of it in their past matches of this season and even the first leg of the quarter-final, Chelsea is no match for Real Madrid. And presently, Real Madrid is at an aggregate advantage of 2 over Chelsea and I know that they will beat the blues easily in their next meeting next week.
From their general performance in this season and their latest forms, it makes sense to rate Real Madrid above Chelsea. They are actually stronger than Chelsea and their first meeting is an evidence for this fact. Chelsea did not play too bad and they had tried to score goals at Bernabeu but eventually they ended it with nothing.

A 0 - 2 defeat is still a lucky result for Chelsea as it was not a best day of Real Madrid attacking players. In their better days, they can score more goals to Chelsea and nail their position in Champions League semi final before their second meeting at Stamford Bridge.

I expect the same thing gonna happen with chelsea once real madrid will be coming to the stamford bridge. Chelsea needs more than a miracle to make it happen. Chelsea needs to rebuild its tone. Lampard was also having so many problems with the club as well as the players of chelsea itself.
Chelsea will try to play more attacking at their home stadium as they must have a first goal as early as possible. However this hurry approach can be harmful for Chelsea as Real Madrid are so dangerous with counter attacking. They have creative midfielders like Kroos, Modric with deadly key passes and Valverde with very powerful distant shots. At their front line, Vinicius and Rodrygo can use their speed to break down Chelsea defense including offside trap any time. Benzema is always ready in the box to smell opportunities and find the net.

If Chelsea won't have good plan to control Vinicius and Rodrygo at two swings, they will face with a big defeat at home.

I expected to see the game end in this manner, I don't think Chelsea are ready this season with the stress their are passing through now, Chelsea faces a lot of challenge, the second leg is still there for them, can they do better to win 3:0, this is a difficult task for but it can happen. Real Madrid are one of the most toughest team in champions now, they have everything better than Chelsea now, it will be impossible for Chelsea to win this second leg.

Real madrid was always coming with high pressure on chelsea. Real madrid was always trying to bombing the goalkeeper of chelsea. Lampard has been making some mistake here.
Todd is still feeling so confidence if chelsea will able to make its revenge on the stamford bridge. Chelsea needs a miracle to make it happen. I don't even like the way of lampard was using the strategy. It lacks of defensive and aggressive.

Lampard is clueless and he has not known what he has been doing. The result of the last match is very embarrassing for the club. So many players were playing individually

Yes, Lampard is playing without any set strategy or game plan against Real Madrid, and his lack of direction has been visible. It's unfortunate to see Chelsea struggling so much this season, it's really been an embarrassment for the club. There's still hope as it's only 2 nil and anything can happen next game. However, Todd Boehly remains confident in the team's ability to turn things around. Of course, while confidence is important, it's also crucial to recognize the limitations of what can be achieved.
There’re a lot of negativities this first leg. Firstly, I didn’t like the formation Lampard used and the tactics didn't help the team. How the coach was using James and Chilwel made the lads frustrated not getting the best out of them. Chelsea players were crowded in the midfield and didn't know what to do with the ball. The players lacked confidence. There were no players upfront to take chances, they barely created some. This is not just about the managers, but the players must step up their games and believe.

The Real Madrid vs Chelsea Champions League quarter final match is the talk of the town. But I personally see both teams as equals, because both teams have been able to come so far with their own merits. Hopefully we will see a great competitive match.

I will even bet on this particular match as I bet a straight win for the Laliga side.

I don't even think so. Both of teams are not equals. real madrid is still a few step ahead compared with chelsea at this moment. If you were watching the match accurately and you will be seeing there are so many differences between both of clubs started from the strategy and execution from the players. Chelsea has been losing its tooth. Chelsea was not even able making a single goal since last few matches. That being said that if real madrid was in another level. Real madrid will also able to perform so crazy against liverpool away.
I expect the same thing gonna happen with chelsea once real madrid will be coming to the stamford bridge. Chelsea needs more than a miracle to make it happen. Chelsea needs to rebuild its tone. Lampard was also having so many problems with the club as well as the players of chelsea itself.

I doubt if chelsea will able to perform so well during the second leg. I see no reason for chelsea to perform the same like the first leg. three goals are a must for chelsea in stamford bridge.
Chelsea was not even able doing proper defensive against real madrid in the first leg. The chance for chelsea to go to the semifinal is very small at this moment.

Chelsea may put in more effort in the second leg to defeat Real Madrid and advance to the next stage, but Real Madrid are not like other teams that won the first match and then lost the second leg, and we are talking about the Champions League, not any other league, and the fact that they won the first leg against Chelsea will motivate them to play well in the second leg.
Real Madrid will definitely put more effort into the second leg than they did in the first, and Chelsea shouldn't even consider scoring 3-0 against them because that was a joke. Since Chelsea isn't in good shape this season, I advise them to just get ready for another upper-year season if they make the champions league.

It was an expected result yesterday to see Real Madrid winning the match because in all sense Chelsea would not be able to Meet up with Real Madrid's pressure in the game because both clubs are not in the same formations this season.
Chelsea has been under a lot of crisis for a while now and that has affected the club in so many ways including the player's motivations and team formations and that has been the main reason for most of their defeats in recent games even though there have been multiple changes of coach.

I'm very sorry for the Chelsea fans, but it was obvious
after the issue of the war in Ukraine and the abandonment of the owner who loved the team, Chelsea are totally in a state of disarray
it's a great team, but I think morale is very low

I said it and I won my bet

Obviously Lampard tactics was so poor and didn't work out last night, because you can't play such pattern against a team like Real Madrid and expect to defend the game till the end without them scoring a single goal, I guess he didn't go their to win the game initially, he wanted to get a draw, so this was why he didn't forced attack at the beginning, Until the first goal came and distorted their whole plans for the game. Looking at Chelsea's performance last night, it's now obvious that they got zero chance of qualifying, with most of their key players now on yellow cards.
Frank Lampard is not to be blamed, this is his first time taking Chelsea to a quarter final competition in a competitive league like Champions League playing against the defending champion. Qualifying for the next round is impossible for Chelsea and if anyone is to be blamed it should be Todd Bohely and not Lampard he did what he felt was wise for Chelsea. Defending tactics worked for Chelsea in previous seasons but things worsen this season with that tactics because Madrid has become too experienced that they can force through any defense no matter how tough it gets.
we have all the right to blame Lampard for he poor performance of Chelsea last night, he has lost his two games in charge since they kicked Potter Graham out of the club. The coach must take responsibility for the results. I knew they was no way Chelsea will defeat Real Madrid. It's quite unfortunate to see how the mighty fallen. In London next week, Real Madrid will still best Chelsea. I know in Real Madrid dressing room last night, they were not okey with the scores. Chelsea isn't on same Level with Real Madrid.
