Sure. Inter Milan isn't a typical team that plays very offensively, most Italian teams prefer to play defensively. Moreover, if they play against a team with many strong attackers like Man City, they must choose a counter-attack strategy. For both teams take lots of effects to be in the final match of the champions league but in fact, Manchester City had harder games before the final match and they had to play against stronger teams like Real Madrid while in all games they had a good performance and in the other hand Inter Milan was enough to play against easier teams like Ac Milan.
The way they had for being in this stage was not the same at all.

I agree with you Inter Milan may not be well know for a team that like parking bus but playing against one of the best and most informed team in the world right now which is Manchester City, they will do nothing but reduce in attack and focus more on the defense else they will have themselves to blame because City will run them down. I think Manchester City will have total control of the midfield, possession and ball control but Inter Milan will capitalize on getting a goal through a counter attack then park the bus because City will focus on attack so if they fail to defend after launching an attack that will be a good opportunity for Inter Milan to penetrate them a score.

For a team like inter Milan to face a team like Manchester city and come out victorious, will require that inter milan play with great wisdom, not just about man power or strategy, and the kind of wisdom required to beat Manchester city is one I don't think inter Milan possess, but like you said, the only chance inter Milan do have against Manchester city is to focus more on defending and keeping the ball away from their goal post, while they look for open opportunities to try to score against Manchester city, though there is no guarantee of any kind in doing this, but this worth something to try.

It all depends on the game or rather if Inter Milan can score early it is very likely that they can apply defensive strategy options but if that doesn't come true then it is likely that Inter Milan will play more aggressively in balancing the game from Manchester city. From this it can be seen when they beat Ac milan where the tempo of Inter milan game in the second half was more inclined to defend and this option was not very good if they did that against Manchester city.

IMO, their focus is how to break City's midfield. because, City tend to flow the ball from midfield. well, Inzaghi's job will be very tough. only 3 days left, that means they will optimize everything for this final match, including playing with an all out battle.

But you forget that Inter played 5 defenders in a 3-5-2 formation against Milan in the semi-final second leg. Denzel Dumfries and Federico Dimarco played more advanced but they were able to integrate into a 5-3-2 formation when the opposing team was building up attacks. The same scheme will also be implemented by Simone Inzaghi against Manchester City in the final, so I think the 3 defenders are just a fake formation.

Simone Inzaghi is fully aware of how dangerous Manchester City can be in attack, so he may really need to work out the best strategy throughout the game. However I have no hesitation in saying that Manchester City will do something great in the final even if Inter want to fight with all their might.

I haven't seen Inter parking the bus against a team for a long time. They have been used to playing with 3 defenders and an offense-oriented game at the same time. But this must be their toughest match even in the recent years. Manchester City are such a dominant team against even the ones we know as the same. We all witnessed what they did to Real Madrid in the rematch. Real Madrid were just desperate against them after a point. Thinking about that I can't even imagine what Manchester City can do to Inter.

However this is the final stage of course. Both teams will need to play carefully. I think Inter will prioritize zone defense and force their opponent to shots outside the box. But if they still somehow give spaces then Manchester City can break the deadlock earlier and finish the job later on.

And this season too, City's performances have been far more organized and strong than Inter Milan's. Even so, there is no way to think of Inter Milan as a weak team. Their players are in good enough form now. Inter Milan's attack in particular is strong now. And so it is very unlikely that City will win this match easily. The match will be very competitive. And it is uncertain which team will be the champion.
