That is the surprising part of the Champions League this season. The underdogs play very strong in their domestic leagues (Napoli and Benfica) and the big favorites are all not ranked first in their leagues and also have some struggle once in a while. This is the chance for some new team to finally become the Champions League winner this year. Usually you wouldn't say that Napoli or even Benfica have a chance to win it, but this is year it is a different situation. More and more I lean towards Napoli being the real favorite here. Usually I would have said Manchester City, but Napoli is working like a perfect engine. They are probably the opponent who is most uncomfortable for any team to play against. You just know their results and even though they don't have the biggest name in the soccer world, every other team now knows that they are extremely hard to beat.
I know most persons will love to experience an unexpected team win the Champions league but I doubt that because despite the top favourites having one or two poor performances here and there they seem to move their focus to the champions league and play better in the UCL. I think in the end one of the top favourites will still come out victorious.

It is not possible to predict which team will win the Champions League title. However, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Manchester City, and Napoli are the favorites to win the title. I would say these four teams have equal chances to win the title. However, Munich and City will play against each other in the quarter-finals. The team will be eliminated from the quarter-finals. Napoli has been in great form this season. If this consistency continues, it will be very difficult for other teams to beat Napoli. I think maybe Napoli will be able to win the title.

When Chelsea was drawn against Dortmund, many people overlooked Chelsea's superior performance in the Champions League compared to Dortmund's superior performance in the domestic league. In the end, we saw Chelsea triumph over them despite losing the first leg match. Experience counts in this league, which is why it's called the League of Champions.
Chelsea was almost making it by going to the next round if it's not caused by the goal in additional time that was eliminating chelsea last season. Chelsea will face king of UCL three times including upcoming duel.
As a former coach of chelsea and i think that if ancellotti is also aware about what's gonna be a weakness of chelsea.

Ancelotti urged its players to be careful against chelsea.
Both of them will be equally careful and alert because they feel that either Chelsea or Real Madrid will definitely show solid football. This is what is even more interesting meeting to reach the final has always been a subscription for Real Madrid. Likewise, Chelsea also needs to work harder. Graham Potter may not have much hope in the Premier League and his position is already very disappointing. Then this is the only chance for Potter to take back the fans' trust in him.

I think Chelsea's only hope is if they firmly believe that Real Madrid will beat them.  If Real Madrid feel complacent and confident that they will beat Chelsea for sure, then Chelsea can surprise them.  If they play their usual disciplined game, Chelsea don't stand a chance, frankly.
Chelsea vs Real Madrid is the two teams that have missed hope in their league(premier league and Laliga).
The Champions League is the only league they hold dearly in their eyes. So, in order to stay in the champions league, both teams must demonstrate their supremacy over one another.

I'm interested in watching the conflict between the two teams as they compete to win each other over in their home and away match

I don't know if it's possible (definitely not) but my dream would be to be able to see Real Madrid vs Napoli
who knows what game it would be, on the one hand the experience of the Champions League on the other a team that is grinding victories after victories
You mean in the final right, because the both of them can only meet in the final if they both win their QF and SF ties. Well it isn't something that's impossible, i for one believe Napoli would make it to the final because from my prediction, i pick them to beat AC Milan and to defeat the winner of the Benfica v Inter Milan tie.

Having said that, the problem is if Real Madrid can pass through their own hurdles, they have Chelsea to contend with in the QF, and should they come out of that tie unscathed, then they have the winner of City v Bayern to face in the SF, it is going to be really tough. Personally i want to see City in the final at Instanbul, Real Madrid have won this tournament too many times and i don't wish them to win it again this season, or even get to the final.

would be very nice
who knows what numbers, both teams have always amused and fascinated me
I really like Real Madrid even if my favorite was Barcelona in the golden age, yes.
In any case, who knows, maybe it will happen

Tactical brilliance also plays a major role in a team's performance every season, a team can have good and experienced players and still find it difficult to win games and competing against top teams for trophies. I think Ancelloti has a major role to play and Real Madrid have not been so good this season in the league as a result of decisions made by Ancelloti who seem to channel his focus on the Champions league title.
But I wouldn't really expect Real Madrid's domination of the Champions League title to be unstoppable this season. I hope another team will replace him as title winner, no matter who.

I hope Chelsea stop Real Madrid in the quarter-finals and get Ancelotti in trouble. Real Madrid is the best in the history of the Champions League, I know that, but the Champions League can't be about one team like Real Madrid every season because it must be very boring. Napoli and Manchester City or maybe Bayern Munich are the teams I hope to win this season, but of course it's difficult to do so if Real Madrid go through to the final.

Bayern vs man City, is definitely the most exciting fixture in the draw, the two teams are never scared to attack, but I just feel City will progress at the end of the day..watching City play, and seeing the amount of chances they create in every game is so unreal,it will take a lot to win them over the course of two legs

Yes, it would definitely take a whole lot to win them as they’ve been playing amazing football and winning games also. Bayern would probably need a miracle to win Manchester City. It would be a lot more exciting to watch them try though. I too feel Manchester City would win(perhaps not as easy as people would think) and progress at the end.

City is very good at penetrating their opponents defense thereby creating good chances that in most cases would lead to a goal. Not trying to undermine the capabilities of Bayern as even without Lewandoski, they’re still a force to reckon with. It would definitely be an existing fixture to watch. My money is on Manchester city though.
Given that everyone assumes that Manchester City will easily defeat Bayern, despite the fact that Bayern also has a strong record, and despite the fact that Manchester City is a good team, I often feel that the team is overhyped. I know they are good, but they also have clubs and good players who score goals, so don't be surprised if Manchester City doesn't even sniff the trophy this season. But good luck to them when they resume back the league.

Actually we won that game, I think 3-2 in favor of Chelsea but the goal they had against us at our home due to them wining the first leg, gave them the advantage. Chelsea aren't scared of Real Madrid, aren't they the same team we defeated last two years. Real Madrid should be the ones scared, Chelsea defeated them at home in a time when no club was able to achieve that. Chelsea has a more attacking team now and it seems the boys are beginning to listen to Potter directive because they have been playing brilliantly if recent. I love when Chelsea are the underdogs in games because they get underestimated then they perform. They weren't favorite with Dortmund but that's history now.

Good thing we're playing at Real Madrid home first because just like in 2021 we could win that game or probably just get a draw then when Real Madrid comes visiting we show them (as we mostly do) when they come visiting to Stamford bridge. I just hope injuries doesn't get the worst if us as it usually does. Hopefully we can have everyone fit including Kante for this game so we go in much prepared and ready to get something from this awful season we have been having so far

Do I look like someone who's clueless about football to you?

Point is, they are not yet champions. Come on, stop handing out titles like you started watching football yesterday. I have been watching since early 2000s. They still have some games to go otherwise the scudetto would already be theirs by now, Mr Seria A champion's winner awarder. For starters, do you still remember what tragedy happened in the 2019/2020 and 2020/2021 seasons?

Do you doubt that Napoli became the champion? In order to "officially" complete the title, they need to score only 14 points in the remaining 11 games. And this is provided that Lazio will not lose points. It seems to me that in about 4 games Napoli will officially become the champion because Lazio will not win every game, and Napoli just need to be no worse than the pursuers (which is easy for them because they are better).
Here comes another one  Grin

I am not about to waste time with this pointless arguments.

No offense, but yes, you look like that person. Plus it looks like you have a poor understanding of mathematics  Smiley
I have already shown the math of the Napoli championship, and if you have any ideas of your own (besides the well-known fact that Napoli is really not technically a champion yet), then I would like to see them. And since you have already started, maybe you will continue your thought about the tragedies of the 2019/2020 and 2020/2021 seasons and say how they are related to the current situation?

This fight should have been the Champions League final. too bad, one of these two teams had to be eliminated in the quarter-finals. even so, I hope both teams will both give their best version of the game. in particular, Bayern Munich. because, to overthrow Manchester City is not an easy matter, even though Bayern is a strong team. but that doesn't mean, Nagelmanss squad will take down their opponents as easily as before. because City is a team that has fairly even depth in terms of quality. defensive line that is quite solid, the midfielders are productive, has a striker who is hungry for goals. but, I'm pretty sure if Nagelsmann prepares the right tactics and strategies to face City later.

As for The Citizen, Pep Guardiola's team benefited more because they played as the home team in the first leg. to be sure, City will be eyeing a lot of goals when playing at their own headquarters. even so, it does not mean that Bayern is a team that is easy to beat. at least, Pep Guardiola will look for loopholes from Nagelasmann's troop squad. well, for sure, this fight looks like it will be very interesting.

Of course it will be a big game. I try to look at the history of their meetings, they can beat each other. In their last 2 matches, Manchester City won those matches even though they were friendly matches. Now it will be a very different match, of course, both teams will play their best to be able to show who deserves to be in the semifinals.

Comparing these two teams is not hard if you compare their performance from the start of the season until this time, AC Milan couldn't have a good performance they lost many games recently against Udinese, Salernitana, and Fiorentina which can show us this team is not stable enough to beat Napoli, while Napoli didn't lose any games expect for only two games however, we can surely tell if Napoli is going to beat AC Milan or not yet.

On current form it will easily be a pass through for Napoli in the tie but they need to be wary of two things. 1 is the fact that Milan has a pedigree in this competition and this could champion them to spring a surprise win on Napoli. 2; we have seen in this competition where an informed team from the same league has their opponent had dumped out its leaders. Clear example is Liverpool dumping out leaders of Premier league Manchester City in 2017/2018 quarters finals. Napoli need not to be taken away by their current off before they got surprised.

While on paper it is seeming that Manchester City is the favourites to progress to the next level of the UEFA Champions League.
But in real life we need to be very sceptical and scared of the outcome of that results.
This is because unlike Bayern Munich, Manchester City Are always faced with a kind of confusion at the middle or beginning of some matches?

When Manchester City is playing clubs like Aston Villa in England, you would understand that they will at a time become confused and almost lose the match until they turn the match up again and win
But if such confusion happens in the Champions League against Bayern Munich, I am sorry that they might not be able to return back to winning.

This one fixture I wouldn’t predict on because both teams look excellent both on paper and on the field. Take away their recent performances both are the best in their respective league. Bayern has enjoyed huge success against English opponents in the past but this time around they are facing a tough test against their former boss. One of the key deciding factors of this tie will be tactics from both coaches. Pep is known for his tactics of dropping star players during important fixtures and that has cost him the champions league tittle in the past should he decide to rest one of his inform players like DeBruyne and Foden again then Bayern will coast through. Neglesmann on the other hand plays too way high line and a team with DeBruyne and Halaand in it will easily break through

I think the match between Manchester City vs Bayern Munich is the final match too early. Manchester City vs Bayern Munich should have happened in the Champions League Final match.

I'm hard to say which one will come out as the winner. even though their legendary striker has moved to Barcelona but they got a replacement who is also very extraordinary, namely Mane. Mane is used to facing teams from the English league, especially Manchester City, of course this is an advantage for Bayern Munich.

In my opinion, mentally, the Bayern Munich players are more prepared than the Manchester City players, because they are used to playing in the Champions League, and have also won the title several times.
So in conclusion I am optimistic that Bayern Munich will win this match with a thin score.

Yes, the draw for the quarterfinals has resulted in a big game. I believe the two teams previously avoided each other not to meet too soon. But the draw requires them to kill each other to advance to the semifinals.

This fight will certainly grab the attention of many people. Apart from that, this match will be even more interesting due to the effects of Pep Guardiola and Cancelo. Pep Guardiola has handled Bayern Munich for 3 seasons from 2013 to 2016. So for that Pep is quite familiar with the situation of his former club. Meanwhile, Cancelo, who is a former Manchester City player, is now loaned out by Pep Guardiola. The two figures will be the "spice" in that fight.

Speaking of opportunities, I still favor Manchester City. This season Man.City is very powerful, they also have a squad that is quite terrible. The Citizens this season appear trengginas. They just beat other German representatives in the last 16 with a crushing 8-1 aggregate against Eintracht Frankfurt.

This result could make Bayern Munich worried about the appearance of Manchester City. Moreover, in the last five meetings between the two teams, Julian Nagelsmann's team did not have a good record, including in the Champions League.

Historically speaking, Chelsea has always been a very difficult opponent for Real and if I remember correctly, so far Real has only beaten Chelsea once in European competitions.
Chelsea always plays very well in the Champions League, a few seasons ago they were also champions of Europe, and last season they lost to Real with a lot of bad luck, after leading by as much as 3:0 in the match in Madrid.
This year they may be playing a little weaker in the English championship, but this is the game of the season for them and I'm sure that Real won't beat them easily. Two uncertain and exciting matches await us.
Historically Chelsea used to be a better team. I get that they are still all the way here, which should look like that's a good thing and all, but look at where they are in the league, they are doing terrible and just because they have come this far on UCL doesn't mean that they are good.

Historically they used to be good and that is why sometimes they gave Real some tough times here and there, but during those times they were a better team, whereas they are not now. The difference between both clubs right now is staggering and I would say that both games will be easily won by Real Madrid without a worry, just like last year when Real beat them again.

I don't think anyone has any doubts that Napoli will eliminate Milan. Besides the fact that Napoli has a better squad than Milan, they are more in shape side with high morale. They want to win everything this season. Milan players' this season performances have been hugely disappointing, except Giroud, Leao and Tonali. On the other hand Napoli have talented young star players who are on the transfer list of every major team. Milan's history may be bigger, but their current situation matters most. Napoli will pass quarter final like a walk in the park.

AC Milan are bigger European Competitive sides than Napoli especially when it comes to the Champions League football, they currently have bout three to four Champions League, but with current form, whoever writes Napoli off is simply cynical.
They're the best side in the world the most consistent side who have scored more goals and conceded lesser too, they have shown desire and dedication from the back on how they're just focused on winning alone.

If it finally comes to the Champions League next round, I'm not giving a final conclusion on who wins but then, I'm backing Napoli to knock Ac Milan who struggled to get three points against Udinese.

Milan lost in front of an opponent they should have been able to beat and that has become bad consumption for their fans. As we know, Milan's chances of beating Napoli are very small with a reverse record with Napoli, of course coach Spaletti will guide his players to be able to beat Milan in the QF round. But what's certain is that even if Milan can dominate the match, they won't be able to do that during the full match time and they often lose those moments and that can be put to good use by Napoli to steal the lead.

I hope that ancellotti will did some evaluation. The problem is now real madrid defenders are lazy as fuck. It can be seen from some chances that already gotten by barcelona in the last game of elclassico.

I don’t think Real Madrid defenders are the cause of the problem. I think the coach has a fault in this. I think Carvajal should have less playing time. Going down to their central defenders like Rudiger and Militao are doing a good job in the absence of David Alaba. Also, I think Nacho is a bit slow and isn’t really going forward and attacking more.

In terms of midfielders, Luka Modric and Toni Kroos are almost worn out players. Players doing the real job are Camavinga and Valverde as they’ve been instrumental in linking the defense to the attack.

During the game against Liverpool, Toni Kroos should have supported Vini Jnr to attack from the left side and couldn’t.
I do think Madrid should change their coach who would be willing to bring in new players.

I don't know if it was Ancelotti's fault or not but one thing is clear, in my opinion this season Barcelona is indeed better than Real Madrid but only for the domestic league. But if we compare it to this Champions League then of course, I think Ancelotti is still fine to coach Real Madrid, and the problem of bringing in new players of course that can be realized in the next transfer market.

That way, Ancelotti will still be able to stay at Real Madrid because after all, keeping old players at Real Madrid, I think, has become a culture that belongs to Real Madrid. But yes, of course the time will come for Real Madrid to replace old players with young players who have great potential with Real Madrid.
