This season marked the rise of the Italian team. Serie A still has its representatives in the Champions League until the quarterfinals. But I don't think the three teams have been fully tested, but I think that only Napoli have high hopes but that depends on the draw as well.
It is like a circle. In some seasons, La Liga clubs dominate Europe, then it is time for Premier League or Bundesliga. I barely see domination from Bundesliga clubs but with La Liga, Premier League and Serie A, it happened many times already.

In this season, clubs from Italy are not too strong as they have many problems themselves but by one way or another, they played well and went far in Champions League and Europa League. They must continue it in quarter finals to make Italy football great again.

Coming to quarter finals has little meaning but it will be great achievement if they reach to semi finals. They also need luckiness from draw ceremony to avoid internal meetings in quarter finals.
the percentage of AC Milan and Napoli in being able to win the UCL this season is very small compared to the other remaining teams, if you look at the strength of the teams, the two representatives of Serie A are not the favorites to win the title.
we see the strength of other teams realistically, even though they can place 2 of their representatives in the quarter-finals, that doesn't mean that Serie A this season is much better than last season or other leagues.

I'm quite excited about the draw tomorrow. Real Madrid are still my secret favourite for the Champions League title honestly. Because they are already a very dominant team in this tournament and nothing has changed by this season as well. They should be seen as the biggest threat for any of the teams that have made it to the quarter final round.

Real Madrid are like a nightmare for Manchester City considering their last matchup here. If they get another draw against each other again then I will be very curious about it.

For me too, Real Madrid remains the favorite to win the Champions League final, who knows what pairings will come out of today's draw, I'll try to see it live, work permitting. In the meantime, Italy hasn't had 3 teams in the quarter-finals since 2006 of the Champions League. Despite the criticisms that are regularly made to the Italian championship, this year it seems that things are going differently, as it still has 6 out of 7 teams still involved in their respective European competitions. Napoli Inter and Milan in the Champions League, Juventus Rome in the Europa League and Fiorentina in the conference League, the only one eliminated was Lazio even if they didn't have a big opponent to beat but they were eliminated anyway

Every season, Real Madrid is always the favorite in this prestigious tournament in Europe. Not without reason until now El Real is the real ruler with the 14 Champions League titles they have. But in the title race this season, Madrid are not as strong as the previous season even though they have now penetrated the quarterfinals. I hope Real Madrid doesn't go head-to-head with Manchester City and Bayern Munich.

I just believe that any club Real Madrid plays will go home in the next round because presently,I don't think that among the clubs that qualified, any of them will be able to win Real Madrid if they meet. Napoli is a good club with Oshimen scoring goals in all his matches,I don't know if they will be able to play Real Madrid.
It means you underestimate the other team's chance to win the match because you are very selfish just because you don't want Real Madrid to lose. Football is game about beating each other up, even the non-favorite team can win over the favorite team as long as they take their chances and defend well. So don't underestimate anyone in the quarter-finals even if you hope Real Madrid will qualify for the semi-finals.

Whoever Real Madrid plays in the quarter-finals, in my opinion, their chances of winning are just as great. If it's Napoli, then it's very likely that Real Madrid will fail this season. I will say no to Real Madrid this season even if many of you disagree with me.

Who do you think gonna be next opponent for real madrid? I guess bayern.

It's hard to predict, but I hope they meet a team that doesn't make it difficult for them for the next round. Because I hope madrid win the UCL this year. This is because they look to be struggling to win La Liga.  So i hope, they will meet the teams from Serie A. Because there are currently three teams of AC Milan, Inter Milan and Napoli. The draw will be streamed live on UEFA.com from 12:00 CET on Friday 17 March.

Liverpool is already out of the quarter-finals this season, as their consistent losses have led to the club's inability to meet up with the basic point requirements to qualify for that round, the worst thing is that their loss to real Madrid again last night.
Real Madrid are a more better team compared to Liverpool who have been beaten by Real Madrid four times in a row in their last head to head meetings. I wonder how long Liverpool will be dominated by Real Madrid and being kicked out of the tournament, obviously Liverpool will finish the season without a trophy.
If Liverpool can just focus on finishing in the top four  it will mean they have achieved something this season. Madrid has always been a big threat to Liverpool, in the past five season where both teams met in the Champions League at various stages, Liverpool only managed to get a draw once and the rest were losses. Ancelotti is a tactical coach for sure but the number of goals conceded Liverpool this season was way too abnormal. Klopp needs to revisit his drawing board to ensure he gets a ticket for next season Champions League.

I'm sure a lot of us here hat goals in Real - Liverpool right ? The game really looked like no one could score if no one makes a mistake or big luck is involved and that is exactly what happened because Real scored by luck in my opinion but on the other side , Liverpool had no power to score 1 goal ? I mean , it doesn't even looked they were trying or maybe Real is really that good in defense.
Liverpool are not confident about a comeback to even qualify for the quarter-finals, I think it is also difficult for Liverpool to score 4 goals against Madrid without replying, on the contrary, Madrid scored 1 additional goal in this second leg, I think people already know yesterday's match the result is that madrid will advance to the quarter-finals.  Wink
Apart from Liverpool appearing insecure, I see that Real Madrid's defense is very difficult to penetrate, especially Rudiger. This is indeed one of the best defenders at the moment and deserves a very high salary, it's no wonder when he won the Champion at Chelsea because there were Rudiger and Silva, of course they are top defenders who are difficult to pass.

Rüdiger is one of the few defenders of world football, but I remember him with his action against Japan in the World Cup.  Despite his bad luck at the time, Real Madrid is playing very well in his career.  He has already become one of the most important players of the team.  He also did some great things against Liverpool.  An important player for Real, I hope they don't lose him.

As long as real madrid is still having strong squad like that and liverpool will never able to beat real madrid. Competing with real madrid is something that being avoided by almost all of team in UCL caused by did know how good the track record of real madrid in UCL.

Real madrid was the only team that has been collecting 14 UCL trophies while liverpool was following it at the second position. Liverpool can be defeated easily by real madrid. Losing big aggregates has made liverpool lost all of its hope to win against madrid in santiago bernabeu. The small score as a result was enough to make real madrid will able to win the match and go to the last 8.

Who do you think gonna be next opponent for real madrid? I guess bayern.

If Napoli was to play Chelsea in the quarter finals then they're getting eliminated. It doesn't matter what form they have been on. Dortmund had all the form but still got eliminated because they lacked the experience of the champions league. This is Napoli first quarter finals but Chelsea has always reached this stages as they even did so last year but got eliminated by the eventual winners Real Madrid. Chelsea will use their experience against them and so will they do if other smaller clubs are been paired with them. I think the only clubs I'm afraid of facing at the moment are Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Manchester City.

Those guys are the only clubs I can say will comfortable defeat Chelsea and even at that Chelsea won't go down without a fight but if we're to get paired with Napoli, Benfica, Milan or inter Milan, we're definitely getting through to the next stage. I love it when Chelsea gets underated because we always achieve something whenever that happens. In 2021 we were also underated and was tipped of losing the final but we all know how that went. If Chelsea can avoid those three clubs in the quarter finals then we can still shock the world this season as well.

Underestimating a club who has won more games, scored more goals then they have conceded, you match them with a side struggling?
Staggering? Lol.
I'd love to agree but this is football, it's pretty sad you just underestimated Napoli, the beauty of everything is that Napoli are winning the Champions League. And when you talk about experience, you mean from Graham Potter ? This is not happening. Tjis has got to be his first Champions League, he's going back home. We're not supposed to talk about Graham Potter because, with tactics he's poor, Chelsea players are just the once pushing ans propelling the club forward.

Trust me, we have to give credit to them Italians,  We've got three good clubs, Ac Milan, Inter Milan and Napoli soon to ne Italian league giants.

I don't know which team can deal with them really for now.
Manchester City is the only team I'm watching that has the potential to compete with Real Madrid. Now that Manchester City players are at the top of their game, I simply hope they can play again as soon as possible. At least Manchester City will get their revenge.
For a team to be able to deal with Real Madrid it is to mark off Real Madrid's key players "Benzema and Junior Vinicius". Once any team succeeds in doing that, Real Madrid will have no winning pressure.

I cannot agree with you. Apart from Manchester City, Napoli and Bayern Munich teams are very strong this season. The performances of Napoli and Bayern Munich are very consistent now. And so it is not correct that Real Madrid is the only favorite team for this year's title. Munich and Napoli's performances are more consistent than Real Madrid's. And personally, I don't think the Madrid team will win this time. Because Benzema's fitness is not right. He is facing frequent injuries. And without Benzema, Real Madrid's attacking performance is not stable. It is very risky if the team depends on a certain player.

Napoli will likely meet Benfica or Chelsea. I don't know how it will happen but I just know it may happen. And right now, I think the only team that I so much dread is Bayern Munich. I will be so impressed if Bayern meets Napoli or real Madrid cuz I really can't see any team that is capae of Eliminatimg Bayern Munich from the Champion league as it stands, exception of Napoli and real Madrid. Manchester City is not to be trusted at the moment,  though they will do well has they have fort to this stage. Napoli may Eliminate Bayern if luckily such should happen in the quarter final.

Real Madrid vs Liverpool 40+ into the match and both clubs have not made any attempt to make a goal score, and despite Real Madrid's, dominance of the field their player still could not convert all the chances into goals, I know the difference is for g to come in the second half of the match.
Looking at several conditions of opportunity it seems that the second leg is slightly less intense in terms of intensity compared to the first leg.
But there have been several chances that were actually quite good in this first half it's just that they seem to be too careful. I think the match will be more interesting in the second half because regardless of anything Liverpool will definitely change their scheme.
Like it or not, Liverpool really have to change their game scheme, a total attack can be an option because it is very clear that Real Madrid is the favorite to qualify. If they play like they did in the first half it will benefit Real Madrid a lot, because Real Madrid will definitely play them to keep the score level until the end of the game. They have lost on aggregate with not a few goals too, so Liverpool really have to go all out to attack.
In the end this did not happen, Liverpool's hopes of improving the scheme failed miserably because they seemed to be trapped by Madrid in the second half.
This is actually a bad condition for Liverpool, instead of reducing the aggregate, they actually multiply and have lost for the 4th time in the last 4 matches against Madrid.

However, if Real or City matches with Benfica, or any of the other weaker teams, that's going to be an easy game without a doubt. We will probably have either Bayern or City or Madrid to face each other though, that would be a big game.
Madrid has always been a frightening specter even though its conditions are not very good in the domestic league.
Last season they destroyed 3 EPL clubs and now 1 has been knocked out by them.
To be honest I wanted a semi-final rematch last season Grin Even though it is certain that in this case Manchester City will still be the same as before but this is also to see if their ego from last season is still there with too much confidence when the game is not over.

I'm also very curious about Napoli's performance when they meet big clubs in the UCL later. Are they going to be as effective and as good as usual or not. Napoli is a club beyond expectations. They really have a very good impression this season. Their performance is very consistent and they can always take advantage of opportunities to win. But indeed, there will be many obstacles in the quarter-finals later, moreover many big clubs have passed.

This Napoli team is the one of the best teams currently in the Champions League. They have scored more goals and conceded little. Which shows that they are scoring and defending very well. They have won many top class clubs in Italy therefore I don't expect any big team to be a huge challenge to this current Napoli team. But like you said maybe playing teams like Manchester City or Real Madrid might give is a clear picture of the quality or worth of the Napoli team.

I want Real Madrid to play against Chelsea and let Napoli play Manchester City. These are matches I want to watch because I want to see how strong Chelsea have become and I also want Napoli to disapprove people's view that they have not met a strong team. This match will be a litmus test for all these teams.

I think it can be more interesting if we see a match between Bayern Munich and Real Madrid while on the other side, we can have Napoli and Manchester City because Napoli could perform very well so far and they have Victor Osimhen who is known for his awesome performance in the Napoli while in Manchester City they have Haaland with the same situation, so I think we these two forward players face each other we can see an amazing match.
I still hope these 4 teams don't meet that soon because indeed it would be very unfortunate if the big clubs met in the top 8 because the hope is clear that the semi-finals will be much more exciting it seems.
Even so, the 4 clubs that you mention here now are candidates that really deserve to be seen how they navigate the Champions League this season.

Chelsea is a club that might be able to play Madrid due to their last records in the league but I don't think Potter and his boys will be able to display those professional performance which Chelsea do display when playing against a big club in the UCL. We hope to see the poll and to know which club will be playing with the other.

Goodnight, ohh Leo!!! 🦅
March 16, 2023, 06:28:16 PM
Haaland the monster. Except for the penalty goal, all the goals were a combination of determination and Halland's skill with positioning in the style of Inzaghi. A frightening combination. The term is the ball that is looking for Halaand. If Halaand is not replaced, maybe he will score again and break Messi's record as the top scorer in one match in the Champions League. What you say may be true, Pep doesn't want Lionel Messi's record to be snatched away by Haaland.
Leo has been a very iconic figure since a long time now and, it has always been a tough competition with his rival, Ronaldo. They aren't actually rivals in real life,..it's just the way we try to figure out the whole thing though.
Erling halland on the other hand was raised from the academy and hasn't flopped since then, not even when he was signed for man City, talk more of his base club, Dortmund. I think he's making a crucial step towards achieving the Golden boat; that's something Leo has been awarded alot more times than Neymar, talk more of halland.
