At the moment I am not thinking about the threat of Graham Potter's position in the Chelsea team for this season, because everyone will see how Chelsea will play in the round of 16 against the German team, namely Borussia Dortmund. In my opinion this is a very commensurate opponent with Chelsea in the Champions League in the round of 16 although I don't imagine a win for Chelsea after seeing its still very poor performance in the Premier League this season.
If you look at the results of the matches played by Chelsea in the Premier League and Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga, the two teams are currently in an unstable form, because they are experiencing a decline and are unable to keep up with the match. If you look at the current standings in their respective leagues, it is likely that next season they will have difficulty qualifying for the Champions League, Borussia Dortmund are in the top six of the table and Chelsea are in 10th place, which means that both teams are in an unstable position and little worse than the previous season.

But it seems that Borussia Dortmund is slightly better than Chelsea, even though the Champions League cannot be seen only from the performance of their respective leagues. It is still quite difficult to predict who will win, before seeing the first match which will take place at the Signal Iduna Park Stadium in Germany.

There is no coach who doesn't want to see the team he handles play well, it's just that that desire doesn't always go smoothly with reality. Graham Potter must have racked his brains to get Chelsea's game back to its best. The question is how much time will it take him to do that. This is because not all teams will have the patience to wait for their team to return as expected. Threatened, that's what I have in mind regarding the position of Graham Potter.

I think that the match against dortmund will become the match that will determine his future. Chelsea was only getting 1 win from 7 matches which can be considered as the worst performance from the club. Dortmund will become the final exam for potter. I saw that if there are so many new coaches that being linked with chelsea. Managing the club that owned by aggresive owner like chelsea was so diffiuclt. This gonna be hardest time for chelsea.
I see that potter was also under pressure caused by he has target to win against dortmund in UCL

Even in Barcelona, Pep Guardiola was able to present the Champions League trophy twice. If you look into the squad that belongs to Manchester City, it is very strong and they should have won the Champions League this season. But again, man city always has bad luck when they meet opponents who are slightly above them, like Real Madrid always brings nightmares to man city. During the 20/21 UCL final, Man City vs Chelsea, I still remember that match very well and at that time I thought Man City could become champions, but in reality Chelsea managed to beat Man City with a narrow score of 0-1 while burying Pep Guardiola's great hopes at that time.
Pep Guardiola have to show his capacity about best manager for giving Manchester City with UEFA Champion League tittle, he was success get twice Champion League trophy with Barcelona but almost ten years during his career with Bayern Munich and Manchester City totally failed although support with much money active in window transfer.

Can't count with how much money spent by Pep Guardiola with Manchester City last several years, but great achievement lead to final stage at last two season but defeated by Chelsea at final. I don't expected with Pep Guardiola have good memorize in Champion League and Manchester City still meme team without any Champion League tittle in their cupboard collection.

It is difficult to know how true all this is, but the fact is that in every season something is missing for PSG to go all the way and win the Champions League.
Many things have to come together to win the Champions League, including team unity, physical strength, a high level of play and mental readiness when key matches are played.
Bayern will be a real test for the PSG team this season.
PSG spent a lot and in some seasons, they came too close to Champions League trophy. If they can continue to have like semi final and final matches, they will take a trophy in future.

Bayern is a really big name in Europe and Champions League so clearly it is a big test for PSG. This big test comes too early in this season for PSG but it's not a matter, they must win big clubs to get a trophy.

Spending hugely but year to year, season to season, same outcomes is all they get.
Did we say a same about Chelsea before they won their first Champions League? PSG will get it some day but it is not easy.

Quote
They have a good squad with winning mentality as it stands within the squad, quality players but I don't know how technically great the manger would be at most against a big side kike Bayern Munich.
All those issues related to ball passing and disagreement when it comes to penalty duties should have been settled already, Neymar has been eager to score as much goals this season so he reduced passing all of those chances leading to goal for Mbappe. Like i said they have Ramos, Messi and Neymar who have won the Champions League already they can put that winner mindset in other players.
PSG have problems with conflicts amongst their star players that only reduce their strength. About mentality, I agree on this because PSG did played and won great but not sure how they did wasted advantages just in a very short time in a second-leg matches. Nothing to explain it better than weak mentality and lack of self-confidence.

Ramos can bring high confidence for PSG defense with his strong mentality and ability to give other defenders in big matches. However, he is old and it can limit his contribution for PSG.

I’d also advice that Chelsea's board should give Graham Potter more time to try to solve the issues resulting to poor performances and poor results in the team. Guardiola is right, we can also sight example from Mikel Arteta, things weren't so smooth at the beginning but with time and patience he was able to bring the team to it's current level and it took 3 seasons to get to this stage and he is still working so this thing goes through phases and it just required a little patience and trust in the manager.
This is how Arteta's example shows what result trust can bring, when a coach knows that he is trusted, when he knows that he has time to realize his vision, this should bring results. But when I watch how often in Chelsea change coaches, and how little time they get, it only says that Potter may lose his place in the team very soon.

The same problem applies to PSG, the coaches simply do not have time to build a team, they have too many resources and very little time, but this will never be enough to win the Champions League. Big victories require patience, not everything can be bought with money.

Though it's long enough, we shouldn't conclude already that he is incapable. It didn't take long for the players to go on injury after returning from the Qatar world cup. Let's just assume the present poor performances to be a result of injury. Bringing in a new coach will require the club to spend so much because they will have to pay Porter off which will be a huge sum of money since it's a terminated contract, and money also will be needed to bring in a new coach which in a long run will need time to understand the club and its players.

Huge money has really been invested in the PSG team in the last few years, but regardless, PSG is still far from winning the Champions League.
There are a lot of rumors that the relations in the team are not good and that there are big conflicts between the players, especially between Mbappe and Neymar over who will be the main star in the team.

They are surely getting to the finals this season I have predicted along time coming that Manchester City and Pep Guardiola will get to the finals.
Since becoming a Manchester City coach, Pep Guardiola has never presented the Champions League trophy to the Etihad stadium. If you look at the depth of the players now it seems that it will be a strong candidate for the championship this season. Now Man City has one of the best strikers in the world, Erling Halaand, in whose regular league he (Halaand) almost always scores goals in every game, so that will be a successor for Man City in going through the UCL round this season.
That's why pep was aiming for the UCL as the main target for city. City has been winning EPL so many times under him but city never won UCL. that proves that if there's a thing that has not yet achieved by chelsea.
City was never achieved the world club trophy too. Pep said that he wanna try to bring city to be a winner of UCL. This is the most difficult task to be achieved by pep.
As far as i know that even with the strong squad and it would not even able to take UCL. Remember when chelsea was beating city at the final of UCL. I think that's really disappointed for the all players of manchester city.
Even in Barcelona, Pep Guardiola was able to present the Champions League trophy twice. If you look into the squad that belongs to Manchester City, it is very strong and they should have won the Champions League this season. Tottenham have been experiencing some problems. There is a significant drop in their performance level and it reflected on their Premier League matches as well. The Crystal Palace win might be a good morale but they have another tough match against Arsenal this time. Besides their schedule until their Champions League match is very tight and difficult. If they don't finish these matches with positive results in general then it might affect their motivation in the Champions League as well.

Because they haven't been like Liverpool. I mean Tottenham haven't been much different in the EPL and CL in terms of effort.

In the second half of the season, Tottenham had an unlucky start for Conte's squad. fortunately, they won the game over Crystal Palace with a landslide score. even so, according to my observations the Spurs experienced a decline in performance. also, the Spurs have tough games in the week ahead. Apart from the match against Arsenal, Spurs also have their next match away at Manchester City headquarters.

if they lose these two matches, automatically the ranking they are currently in can be taken by the team below them. at least, Conte has to do something to restore the team's confidence and win the next matches. in particular, the round of 16 match that will travel to Milan headquarters. Conte doesn't have much time to improve his troops, even before focusing on the Champions League later. Antonio's troop squad must first focus on crucial matches, in the Premier League. I even doubt if Antonio Conte's squad is capable of overthrowing Milan, either away or at home.

After winning the world cup trophy with the Argentina national team, Messi next target is to win the Champions League trophy with PSG. PSG has a good squad to win this championship. The front line they currently have can be a threat to Bayern Munich.
Bringing home the Champions League trophy to France has been PSG dream for a long time. After forming a team with quality players, PSG opportunities are very open. Bayern Munich must be careful with the squad that PSG currently has, especially since the attack line filled with Messi, Mbappe and Neymar is very dangerous when in the opponent's defense area.
Do you expect PSG to crack that egg this season? I seem to feel that vibe from you, but maybe it's just my feeling.
PSG is a team formed with strong financial strength, but as far as we can see from their actions in the Champions League, they always fail. I just need to have my doubts about them, not for red flags but I guess you shouldn't expect much from them.

There is a possibility of success this season, but they have to beat Bayern Munich first. Certainly not an easy task, but if PSG succeed then the move to the next round can be expected. At least I can expect them to be in the semi-finals this season instead of expecting them in the final, it's still tough.

Football is one of the most beautiful things in the world, when everyone thought that the teams that won or time would always maintain their hegemony, that is no longer the case, on the other hand, PSG and City are one of the most famous teams that they currently have, that is why the teams now also seek to have the most famous players, in the case of PSG they have 3 great stars, and City have one of the most emblematic players like Haaland, that is something that any team would like to have, that's why now the PL is so famous, they have very good players, on the other hand in this new transfer window they have a good opportunity to acquire good chips.

Interesting:

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has recalled his early days at Barcelona to illustrate the issues facing Graham Potter at Chelsea.

Chelsea lost to Guardiola’s City for the second time in less than seven days at the weekend as they clinched a Premier League and FA Cup double over Potter’s side.

Potter is under growing pressure at Stamford Bridge, with just eight wins from 18 games, since replacing Thomas Tuchel in September.

However, Guardiola issued a word of caution to Blues owner Todd Boehly over a potential departure for Potter, based on his experiences at Barcelona in 2008.

Almost every football fan thinks PSG will triumph in this edition of the champions league but I have strong doubts about the club. They might currently have the best attack in club football currently but that isn't enough to win you trophies. It's an adage that attack win you games but the defence wins you trophies. PSG are supposedly lacking mostly in the midfield area because I don't see any quality or creative midfielder there. And just like last season when Madrid exposed them to steal a victory from them I think they could still make same mistake season.

Another biggest worry for PSG is the lack of pressing from there attackers. On the ball they are the best but off it they offer shiit and are just passer-bys when it is needed to defend. A team like Bayern Munich with their energetic Midfield combo of Goreztska and Kimmich will need Messi and Co to pay more attention to defending.

Lastly PSG might need a leader to help when the team is down which usually happens in the champions league. Ronaldo had use his leadership skills to spark comebacks but Messi isn't such a talker but at least they could have one should Ramos stays fit. The coach experience also matters a lot and I don't see PSG having that kinda of a manager currently In their dugout.

The criterias for winning champions league is more than just having the best players but also the mentality and experience Is needed, so till that match PSG should be considered the outright favourites just yet

PSG's front line is not in doubt because it is filled with players with big names known as the MNM trio (Mbappe, Neymar, Messi) with extraordinary abilities. If the Bayern Munich camp, their front line is not as great as PSG. I see the weak point of defense not in Bayern Munich, but in the PSG camp.

Their goal productivity in their respective leagues is not much different. PSG with Messi, Neymar and Mbappe have scored 46 goals so far. FC Hollywood who only rely on Choupo-Moting who is assisted by Musiala is able to make 49 goals in the Bundesliga.

Since they will be competing in the UEFA Champion League, experience and mentality are far more favored for Bayern to qualify.
I think PSG can do something to win Champions League in this season with great performance of Messi, Neymar and Mbappe but their weak defense can be something be exploited by Bayern. PSG must show a stronger ability to defend their goalkeeper in order to win Champions League. First to beat Bayern and farther to big other strong clubs in Europe.
Can. Hehehe... They can win this tournament if they beat Bayern. Beating Bayern is not an easy job even though some of their important players are injured.
The speed of Sane and Coman can trouble the declining Ramos and that's one of the obstacles I see in PSG's defense.

PSG has quite good strength in the midfield, it is comparable to the defense and the attackers. While PSG's weakness is that they lack stability in midfield, so that is the problem.
It is also the same to say that PSG is almost perfect compared to Bayern Munich which has a flaw or weak point in the midfield.
It doesn't matter for us to analyze the chances of who will qualify because both teams have strengths and weaknesses.

everyone has their own opinion and support, madrid and munich are of course very favored to be able to go to the final because of their track record in the UCL but we also need to know that manchester city and PSG can surprise, I'm sure manchester city will go to the final

City are Champions League favorites every year and every year they fail in their bid for the title. It is a pity that this year in the 1/8 finals they have an easy opponent (compared, for example, with a pair of Bayern - PSG) and we are unlikely to be able to assess the seriousness of their claims in these games. I hope in 1/4 they will come across Bayern or another serious team capable of beating them. It would be unfair for the tournament favorite to go to the final the easy way (like Liverpool did last year).
Well this is the thing that actually still makes them the favorites especially as you said, their opponent is quite easy in the match in the knock out phase this time.
We know that Leipzig are also quite good actually but looking at the comparisons with City it is clear this is a long way off. This could be an easy win for them but there could be some surprises if indeed they still underestimate their opponent like last season when they met Madrid and were comfortable enough until the last 10 minutes of the second leg that their dream finally died within a few minutes.

I agree with you that it will be very difficult for Paris Saint Germain to win this Champions League. As you said, maybe this has something to do with them being formed from financial strength that is not accompanied by the mentality of being a champion club. I don't know what other people feel, but for myself doubts always arise when talking about Paris Saint Germain in the Champions League. Actually there is nothing wrong with this club, but I think their mentality has to be formed first.

Lately, Tottenham have become a club that is less organized in their game. That's what makes them decrease in performance. Because if you look at the strength of the team, there is no significant change. They slipped a bit and it's still normal as long as they can fix it quickly. But they have to take longer to make them even better, that will be a serious problem that will probably always affect the results of their matches in the Premier League and in the Champions League continued later.

Presently, just few England top clubs have been able to retain their position in the top four flight. EPL this season is a zone of disarray, any side can win pertaining to their preparation and game plan. We shouldn't expect too much from tottenham. So far this season, every club apart from Arsenal, have lose to clubs that were supposed to be a bonus win to them. It is not a new thing, as long as we all know the clubs that normally fill up the EPL top four pace, let's watch if they could bounce back before the end of the season.
