I'm interested in Club' Brugges' journey in the Champions League this time, because they passed the group phase where there were 2 clubs that were more superior than them, Atletico Madrid and Leverkusen, but beyond my prediction it was Club Brugge who could advance to the round of 16. .
In the round of 16 their opponent will be Benfica who won the group, this is a game that will not be easy for both clubs. To be honest, I'm a little blind to the strength of Club Brugge and also Benfica. So who do you think will advance to the quarter-finals from these two teams?
Most people won't counted Club Brugge as the favourite team who able to qualified before but during group stage Club Brugge has successfully to beat Atletico Madrid and Porto this makes them can qualified to next round because finish at runner up position and i think this is one of their best achievement during participant on champion league and from composition of squad i think Benfica is slightly better than them but Club Brugge currently has been change became underdog team who possibly can be hard to beat and regarding their chances qualified to quarterfinal i think their outstanding performance will be stopped here and Benfica probably the team who can able to beat them

People keep saying that the Manchester City round of 16 match is a work-over in their favour, but I don't Think so. As far as football is consent, Iot of clubs have already lose hope in their domestic matches as such, I see the champion league round of 16 clashes to be the most anticipated match to all the contenders involved. It's always a very challenging experience to step into the round of 16 phase and I believe there is no contender in this phase that  is ready to make it easy for the opponent side..

Not only PSG, teams like Manchester City have also invested so much money in acquiring top class players with the aim of winning the Champions league trophy which has seem too difficult to achieve for both clubs so far while teams like Chelsea and Real Madrid who have spent less have won the Champions league in recent years. It takes more efforts to win than just making big signings and this teams seem to be lacking something as you said even with the much spendings.

Chelsea and Real Madrid mightn't have spent as big as PSG did but they have spend millions of dollars too. The only different was that while PSG were wasting money on already popular players that have gone passed their prime, Chelsea and Real Madrid were harvesting talents with their money. Take a look at Chelsea winning season, they got the likes of Timo Werner, Pulisic, Kai havertz  etc all coming in with big money signing. Even before Liverpool could win the champions league they had to spend to rebuild their team.

Football today has to do with money, some teams spend more than others while recording fewer success but sometimes you can't blame them because they're a money club and teams will like to take advantage of them by demanding big when they pick interest in their players. We can't compared the influence of PSG coming for your player with any other smaller clubs in the champion league. Checkout the recent Chelsea signings, all in the name to try to get something moving this season and winning the champions league could be one of those reasons.

Do you expect PSG to crack that egg this season? I seem to feel that vibe from you, but maybe it's just my feeling.
PSG is a team formed with strong financial strength, but as far as we can see from their actions in the Champions League, they always fail. I just need to have my doubts about them, not for red flags but I guess you shouldn't expect much from them.
There is a possibility of success this season, but they have to beat Bayern Munich first. Certainly not an easy task, but if PSG succeed then the move to the next round can be expected. At least I can expect them to be in the semi-finals this season instead of expecting them in the final, it's still tough.
Huge money has really been invested in the PSG team in the last few years, but regardless, PSG is still far from winning the Champions League.
There are a lot of rumors that the relations in the team are not good and that there are big conflicts between the players, especially between Mbappe and Neymar over who will be the main star in the team.
It is difficult to know how true all this is, but the fact is that in every season something is missing for PSG to go all the way and win the Champions League.
Many things have to come together to win the Champions League, including team unity, physical strength, a high level of play and mental readiness when key matches are played.
Bayern will be a real test for the PSG team this season.

^^It is true that PSG have the capability of winning the Champions League, but this is only true on paper. The team has been a strong contender for the Champions League title during the last two or three seasons. However, they have not been able to bring home the trophy. There was a lack of squad depth in the middle of the park last season. However, they have now managed to bring in players like Fabián Ruiz and Vitinha, who will play a very significant role for PSG in the upcoming matches. It is now imperative that the players work on improving the chemistry between them up front in order to achieve success.

Chelsea and madrid have been spending a lot of money in recent years. I think that if money didn't matter a lot to win the champion league. The professional team was only making you a bit easier to win against another team while luck has played the most important thing right now. Chelsea was lucky enough to win champion league two times but real madrid remain the king of UCL. So many teams in UCL have been spending so much money unlike the team like dortmund which act just like agent for sell players to the big clubs. I think that all of big clubs in UCL have been spending so much money.

After winning the world cup trophy with the Argentina national team, Messi next target is to win the Champions League trophy with PSG. PSG has a good squad to win this championship. The front line they currently have can be a threat to Bayern Munich.
Bringing home the Champions League trophy to France has been PSG dream for a long time. After forming a team with quality players, PSG opportunities are very open. Bayern Munich must be careful with the squad that PSG currently has, especially since the attack line filled with Messi, Mbappe and Neymar is very dangerous when in the opponent's defense area.

The conflict with Neymar has already been settled, I would rather be afraid that Mbappe harbored a grudge against Messi (as someone who did not condemn the antics of the crazy goalkeeper of the Argentina national team towards Mbappe). While Mbappe seems rational enough to just ignore it all, his ambitions are much higher than these petty squabbles.
As for the chances of PSG against Bayern, they are probably not great, as it will be a typical game of team of stars against a star team.
At least in this case he is more mature because now he is more stable in his emotions and is not as explosive as before when he had problems with his teammates.
This is a very good thing indeed because regardless of anything professional and ambition for him in the future is far more important than having to keep conflict for a long time.

It's always the manager, manager is not just the guy that draws the formation and tells them how to play and let them be. If you watched any sport movie ever, the importance of the manager is not the formation at all, in fact that could very well be the least important part of his job because depending on your players you could change your formation and many managers change tactics midgame.

The important part is always knowing more about your players and either helping them be better, or if you see them down then at least get them out. Niehter porter nor psg manager has this, they are too timid and afraid and both teams need a huge name to help them out.

As far as I can remember, Tottenham had started quite well, however, over the course of the season, their performance has been on a downward spiral. As of now, they are in fifth place in the league with six wins and 27 points on the board. Their next few games are shaping up to be really tough for them as they have to face league leaders Arsenal who are on a roll at the moment and appear to be the potential winners of the English Premier League this season. The coach should bring some changes to the squad and find out what the problems are so that they can be solved as soon as possible.
Of course Tottenham is having a bad period at the moment, they have lost 8 points from the last 5 matches. However, a big win against Crystal Palace should set them on fire for another 3 points against Arsenal on January 15. It was a tense derby game and they have to do well at home.

In the round of 16, Milan is a strong team to play against Tottenham this season. Tottenham may be struggling to beat the Italian side due to their good form and that will be great to see. I'm sure Milan will give something great in that match, even away from home.

Tottenham have been experiencing some problems. There is a significant drop in their performance level and it reflected on their Premier League matches as well. The Crystal Palace win might be a good morale but they have another tough match against Arsenal this time. Besides their schedule until their Champions League match is very tight and difficult. If they don't finish these matches with positive results in general then it might affect their motivation in the Champions League as well.
Because they haven't been like Liverpool. I mean Tottenham haven't been much different in the EPL and CL in terms of effort.
In the second half of the season, Tottenham had an unlucky start for Conte's squad. fortunately, they won the game over Crystal Palace with a landslide score. even so, according to my observations the Spurs experienced a decline in performance. also, the Spurs have tough games in the week ahead. Apart from the match against Arsenal, Spurs also have their next match away at Manchester City headquarters.
if they lose these two matches, automatically the ranking they are currently in can be taken by the team below them. at least, Conte has to do something to restore the team's confidence and win the next matches. in particular, the round of 16 match that will travel to Milan headquarters. Conte doesn't have much time to improve his troops, even before focusing on the Champions League later. Antonio's troop squad must first focus on crucial matches, in the Premier League. I even doubt if Antonio Conte's squad is capable of overthrowing Milan, either away or at home.

The atmosphere of the Champions League is very different from the Local League, PSG, who are still curious about the Champions League Trophy, will continue to be obsessed with winning a title that has never been won so far. Messi is not the only player who is PSG's mainstay, Neymar and Mbappe can help PSG go to the final and win the title. This will be the most historic moment for Messi if he is able to win the Champions League title with PSG, he will be increasingly recognized as one of the best players PSG has ever had in helping the team win the Champions League.

Basically when a team plays in the Champions League it doesn't mean they also have to get a title, so whatever their quality will be, it will be good if they play in the Champions League. Also, Arteta seems to prioritize young players which, at first was also doubted but who would have thought Arsenal with their young players could get better in the Premiere League this season and also in the European League.
Titles are the perfect target for a team at the end of a competition, and I think playing well and getting a win is the main target instead of thinking about titles. Titles are important, but winning as many games as possible is even more important.

So, I think Arsenal will still be great if next season they play in the Champions League, with the squad as it is or it's not clear Arsenal have got better with Arteta and I don't think there is any problem for them if they manage to come back playing in the Champions League next season.
Arsenal have a chance to qualify for the Champions League next season, but now they just need to watch other teams play.  Grin

It has been a while since Arsenal joined the Champions League the last time. It seems like they are finally going to go back there by next season.

However the current quality of squad wouldn't be enough for having a good success I think. They have done really great so far in the Premier League and Europa League both. But the Champions League is a much more different arena. You need to prepare your squad as good as possible and you will need some extra nice strategies against tough competitors also. Arteta is doing a great job with management so I don't doubt him about the Champions League also. But they had better strengthen the squad quality to be well-prepared for tough teams.

If you look at the results of the matches played by Chelsea in the Premier League and Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga, the two teams are currently in an unstable form, because they are experiencing a decline and are unable to keep up with the match. If you look at the current standings in their respective leagues, it is likely that next season they will have difficulty qualifying for the Champions League, Borussia Dortmund are in the top six of the table and Chelsea are in 10th place, which means that both teams are in an unstable position and little worse than the previous season.
Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga still have hopes of still qualifying for next season in comparison to Chelsea it will be difficult to get a place in position 4 this is far from a possibility unless Graham Potter makes significant changes in the league then it is still a possibility but judging from the matches yet stable then it will still be tough as well.
This is indistinguishable in my opinion the Premier League is tougher than the Bundesliga.

But it seems that Borussia Dortmund is slightly better than Chelsea, even though the Champions League cannot be seen only from the performance of their respective leagues. It is still quite difficult to predict who will win, before seeing the first match which will take place at the Signal Iduna Park Stadium in Germany.
Playing in the Champions League is also always different in appearance maybe also for Chelsea but we don't know what will happen later with Borussia Dortmund who deserves to win, but right now it's still difficult to predict even though there is still a chance to qualify and you can say it's a balanced team if you look at the current performance in each of them.

At the moment I am not thinking about the threat of Graham Potter's position in the Chelsea team for this season, because everyone will see how Chelsea will play in the round of 16 against the German team, namely Borussia Dortmund. In my opinion this is a very commensurate opponent with Chelsea in the Champions League in the round of 16 although I don't imagine a win for Chelsea after seeing its still very poor performance in the Premier League this season.
The form of the two teams so far has been no different in their respective leagues, but in my opinion Dortmund seem to have the upper hand over Chelsea without Tuchel. I only have doubts about Potter, he doesn't have enough experience to take his team higher in the Champions League and I don't even know what he thinks about the match against Dortmund. The round of 16 is more difficult, but both teams have the same chance to win and qualify for the quarter-finals.

Dortmund vs Chelsea match is still far away, and I'm interested to see how Chelsea finish against Fulham today at Premier League. Chelsea have only managed to pick up 4 points from their last 5 matches, so it will be interesting to see if their form will improve after losing to Manchester City.

They are surely getting to the finals this season I have predicted along time coming that Manchester City and Pep Guardiola will get to the finals.
Another two clubs I'm keen to see how they go through will be both Bayern Munich and Paris Saint Germany as it will be one of the best top game to view. My opinions are for me alone and I am really seeing Bayern Munich going back home all because they cannot defeat Paris Saint Germany.
Without belittling Bayern Munich, I also agree that PSG is expected to make it to the quarter-finals this season. I didn't expect Bayern Munich to be as strong in the group stages, but I expected it to change a lot in the round of 16 especially because PSG are the opponents. It's up to others how to expect Bayern Munich to beat PSG, but I'd rather expect Paris to go to the quarter-final.

I consider the current PSG trio to be one of the most dangerous forward trio. Messi, Neymar and Mbappe are in good form so far despite not having played together in a post-World Cup match. But anything can happen, but PSG must deserve to be in a good place this season.
As much as I also like PSG to qualify from this pair, I also don't want to underrate any team because both teams have the quality and ability to knock the other out of the tournament. Bayern Munich also have a good record in the Champions league this season and will be looking to continue their fine form until the end. There is none amongst the two teams who does not believe in themselves and think they will advance through to the next round, it will be a tough one and we shall see who get the ticket.

Pep and his men didn't get difficult fixtures and with their good form this season they are expected to reach the finals because either of psg and Bayern will drop on the way and either of Liverpool or Madrid will also drop on the way. Before you will understand big teams will all be eliminated and manchester city will be at the finals

I wouldn't underrate any team in the Champions league. There is still lots of action, Manchester City might be at top form now and winning games in the English Premier league but when it comes to the Champions league it a whole different case. Every team gives their best and surprisingly Manchester City could be knocked out of the race as the competition goes into the finals.
