It's not a priority so they reshuffle some players to keep their core players fit and the substitutes get enough time to continue playing.
I personally don't expect much from this game because even if they win or lose it doesn't have much of an impact on them so it's clear that Pep knows what he has to prioritize and of course resting the players is the right thing.
It's currently 55 minutes of running time and the score is still 1-1.

With the way Real Madrid have been performing this season, I don't think any club can stop Real Madrid from retaining champions league this season, their team is very fantastic, their players are really performing well, they are ready to do play for the club. Real Madrid played a matured ball today against Celtics, they dominated the match and they where able to secure 5 goals today. From my prediction I believe champions league this season belong to Real Madrid.

Juventus were finally able to score in the first half to equalise. I think they can beat PSG or at least draw, but not lose. It's probably not as important for PSG as it was for Benfica against Maccabi. PSG and Benfica are easy winners in this group. It's a shame, though, that Juventus were of the same level as Maccabi. They used to play much better.

Quite a few goals have already been scored in a few matches. Madrid's big win at home 5-1 over Celtic should come as no surprise to anyone. Chelsea has now come to 2-1 and has therefore done its sporting duty to the other teams. AC Milan is also on the right side of the score, but 1-0 is a minimal lead and opponent Salzburg has enough with a draw to qualify for the next round. I don't dare to put my money on Milan yet, it's not all that convincing what they show. PSG seem to be getting better and better by the week and surely will be the top favorite to win the CL? I think they are also better than City at the moment.

Manchester City have only played in one Champions League final in their history, they were close to making it two last season before Real Madrid eliminated them in one of football's most cruel games, thus i'd not say they lack luck in finals, i'd rather say they are struggling to break their CL hoodoo, it has lasted too long and i am not even confident of them breaking it this season.

Having said that, we are finally approaching the stage were the tournament gets more interesting, i can't wait for the RO16 draws to see who meets who, i know too many big teams won't face each other in the RO16 stage, but it'd still be interesting to watch, the QF is were the real business begins. I would really love to see Manchester City in the final this season, they deserve to win that trophy that has continued to elude them.

Because, now we will be able to have next round after two months and things could be change and injuries and other issues can also play their role in this all but right now in this season we have few other teams as well which are surely looking for good end of this season as their preparation is also at the top.

They went berserk in this game and of course this is something to be expected.
Benzema is back in the squad and Celtic are not playing well especially with the many fouls they have created.
The 2 penalties at the start of the first half were really not very good even though they were focused on defense but for the second half they were completely crushed and the 3 additional goals from Madrid made them sink even further at the bottom of the standings in group F.
This was as predicted from the start but it seems that in terms of goals I didn't imagine this because looking at Madrid's condition, which was already quite safe, I didn't expect them to attack all out.

Mbappe scored goal, it proved that the Juventus defense was very easily penetrated by the PSG attackers in this match. Juventus should have done better at home to win this match over PSG and ensure they qualify for the Europa League. It looks bad for Juventus. They have qualification for the Europa League in their own hands, but at the moment they are even virtually 3rd due to the early deficit against PSG. I expect Benfica to win, so they stay third. However, if Benfica fail to win then that would mean Juventus finishing 4th, that would be a real failure. Juventus have played a very bad tournament this season. AC Milan must beat Salzburg at home to advance in the CL and seem well on their way via an early AC Milan goal. Giroud made him. Dynamo Zagreb quickly took a 0-1 lead, but within 10 minutes it was already 1-1. I expect Manchester City to win easily but I don't know if they have set up the 1st team or some sort of reserve team.

PSG started really quick against Juventus. There was another nice cooperation between Messi and Mbappe this time and they are 1-0 ahead. Juventus' job is really tough against this duo in this match for sure. Neymar isn't able to play in this one because of being suspended. However they are still doing a very decent job.

Benfica also got 1-0 ahead not long ago. But that match is going on really competitively. Maccabi Haifa are also finding crucial opportunities but wasting them. But if Benfica don't open the goal difference more quickly then it might not be too difficult for Maccabi Haifa to score the equalizer. Maccabi Haifa need only one point as long as Juventus are the losing side.

And Maccabi Haifa have just scored a penalty and equalized the score. Grin

Juventus might really say goodbye to the Europa League as well.
