Only a few more days until the draw for the round of 16 begins.

I am trying to get hyped about the potential matchups, but the football world has been quite the same for a while and I am not really feeling any type of amazement possibility from the upcoming games.

PSG is great, so is Bayern and Real and Liverpool possibly, City too, and I do not see any other possibility. Sure, there is a chance something like Chelsea winning could happen, it happened just one year prior, and those type of shocking results do make me have fun with football all over again, but until then, it's not going to be really that much of a shock to me to see these big clubs to go up and then one of them ends up winning. Might as well PSG or City so they can finally take a breath.
it seems you forgot one team that surprised people at this time was Napoli, even Klopp himself acknowledged Napoli's performance in the UCL this season and included Napoli in a team that has the potential to win other than PSG, Bayern, Madrid, or Liverpool. I expect big surprises in UCL this season.

Club Brugge, Frankfurt, Leipzig and Dortmund probably wouldn't believe they could be up against the best seeded team of the season in the last 16. But of course anything is possible in a match and it is proven that hard work, team cohesiveness, good defensive strategy and luck will bring this unseeded team to a higher stage.

But believe me, there are a lot of things that could possibly change because we will have another big competition that I absolutely don't want to miss. Yes, it's the World Cup, maybe this will affect the team and players a little because they can also come back with a bad condition after the world cup ends later.
Actually in this case I think something quite wild, based on last season when we saw Villarreal is a shocking dark horse, it is not impossible this season will also be like that.
Club Brugge is one club that is actually not seeded at all in the group stage but they are at the top of the standings until week 3. On the other hand, Magic Frankfurt last season may still be used this season.

If I have understood correctly, the draw is November 7th. The PSG must have been surprised when they won 2-1 after the change of the whistle. Everyone thought they were the group winner then, but Benfica managed to win with no less than 1-6 and therefore finished 1st in the group. PSG are of course better, but it is certainly not undeserved as they have not won a single game. So in theory we can already see PSG in action against Bayern Munich or perhaps Manchester City. Those are nice pots for the eighth final. I think that Benfica and Brugge normally go out quickly, those are the 2 weakest teams, but they both became group winners and in theory therefore have a weaker opponent.

Paris Saint Germain has won 4 out of 6 games in the group phase so they have definitely not disappointed to much in general i would say. Still it was kind of a surprise, that they only managed to finish in the second place behind Benfica, but i think it would be wrong to blame PSG for that. I think we should rather congratulate Benfica to their amazing performances without any loss so far. I also think that clubs like Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid are now really nervous before the draw on monday, because if they get Paris as their opponent then this would be way to early for such a big matchup in my opinion. This should happen in the semi-final or final.
Their points are the same but what makes Benfica at the top is because they have more away goals than PSG, so they are the top and PSG are the runners up.
But it's interesting if they are in the runners-up now because it's certain that there will be a big match in the last 16 for sure, hopefully not with Madrid because last season they were very unlucky to meet Madrid.

Does anyone have the odds for the draw?

For example, I've read Bayern can't find only 3 teams against and one of them is Napoli.

So at 33% we will have Bayern Napoli

When it comes to seeing the performances, things might change really quickly. For example, who could have expected Villarreal to make it to the semi-final last season, right? They eliminated very powerful teams like Juventus and Bayern Munich. Especially Bayern Munich were like a nightmare to smaller teams on paper. But Emery created a solution to their style and shocked them. Of course I wouldn't like to mean like Club Brugge or Frankfurt will do the same this season. But there is always a chance for this as long as they have the right game plans for doing this. But I'm also not expectant in that way truthfully.

We might think badly of them that Club Brugge and Frankfurt will not qualify for this round of 16 but the facts on the pitch will be different maybe we don't know but for sure there will be one of the big teams that will fail in this phase.
But it depends on how the draw will take place on 7 November, if Mancity meets PSG, or Real Madrid meets PSG, it's hard to imagine if they meet and lose earlier. I'm honestly waiting for this draw even though the Champions League will be run next year.
Some tough matches can be expected, but probably won't guarantee any team will qualify easily. I have said, all possibilities are there because every team has a lot of destination in this competition.

Yes, the group winners seem to be superior in the match. But this is the Champions League. We never know what will happen!
We've seen a lot of surprise results every year. I believe that we will see unexpected wins in the same way this year. I hope I'm not wrong and we will watch pleasant competitions.
Sometimes match will be more than just an exciting or disappointing spectacle if you have a few dollar at stake. A lot of people bet for fun and enjoy the match with passion because something is expected but if it's not then I think all matches are just interesting to watch especially the big match. I rarely bet anything on tight matches played by top teams, it's too risky to bet.

Of course, there is a chance that a non-seeded team can qualify for the quarter-finals or semifinals if they are surprisingly able to beat the team that is their opponent. But I think it will only be small to be real.

Teams like Club Brugge and Frankfurt seem to be the most in trouble teams on paper now. Because there aren't many teams that they can eliminate among the group winners. Club Brugge missed the chance of finishing the group stage in the lead by a small difference actually. Porto have taken it from them like in the last moment.

On the other hand, Club Brugge at least seem more promising than Frankfurt. They at least have some experience in the Champions League and they might prevent a disastrous result against some of the teams. But I can't say the same for Frankfurt. I see only Porto as a team that they might be able to eliminate. But they also have recovered a lot recently. This might be the end of the road for them.
I don't want to say they are the most problematic team in the last 16, but I have to realize that they will be the unfavorable team in the match against a stronger team. On paper quality speaks for itself, and on the pitch it will be different but I don't expect these two teams to make it to the semi-finals. My guess is that their journey will only reach the last 16 this season if Manchester City, Napoli or Real Madrid are the opponents.

Now is the time to wait for the draw for the round of 16, and the first leg will start in February 2023 according to the schedule on the official website.

The date and time are still subject to change, but it seems I'm more impatient for the World Cup than for the Champions League last 16. The draw for the round of 16 will take place on November 7, 2022, it will be thrilling considering that the seeded team will likely have a tough opponent as there are several strong teams in the runners up.

Great last game of the group stage of the UEFA champions league, lots of drama I must be honest with you, and mightily lots of actions, as we know some big teams had to bow out like Barcelona, Juventus, Ajax, Atletico Madrid. But that wasn't fascinating because some of this team were heading towards the exit even before the very last game.

I am surprised about how some groups ended out and who topped the group, for example Tottenham hotspurs, after so much bad games and many thinking they would be out of the UCL they came back to win the group and also Benfica, this team probably were grateful just to have qualified from a group that has PSG and Juventus, but not only did they qualify they were group leaders after their 6:1 win.

Four of the best Premier League and Bundesliga teams have qualified for the round 16 of this season's Champions League, each with the best candidates such as Manchester City and Bayern Munich

The best achievement for a team in the Bundesliga is indeed this season because if you look at the previous few seasons only Bayern and sometimes Dortmund can talk a lot but for now there are 4 and only Leverkusen are thrown into the Europa League.
On the other hand, I also like the performance of the team from Serie A this season, although at first I was quite sure that Milan would be eliminated and Juventus would advance, but my prediction was wrong in this regard.

Man City played impressively yesterday, the first half didn't go in their favor of  scoring. Sevilla scored first but this goal didn't bother them as they kept on playing in courage and dominating the match till this first half was over. Immediately the second half started Man city showed Sevilla that they remain the best in the group by scoring two goal in seven minute. Manchester City won the match 3-1.

In the second half City played excellently with the help of changes that Gardiola did. If they continue in this form,it is possible that they will get to the final stage. Both English team won their match yesterday,Chelsea won 2-1.
It's not surprising when Manchester City shows such an impressive performance especially the opponent they face is Sevilla, who is in a slump this season. Manchester City are unbeaten in the group stages with 3 wins and 2 draws. They are one of the favorites to win this season along with other teams, such as Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and others. In fact they have always been favorites in recent years, and last season was at their peak they were the biggest favorites but had to lose when they met the reigning champions, Real Madrid. And this year they have shown again that they are serious in their pursuit of the title by bringing in quality new players.
Don't know if Manchester City are too strong or if Sevilla are weak in this case because if I look at them now this is actually not the core squad of Manchester City.
Even some of the players were rotational in this match but they were able to make the score even more striking.
Even though they lost in the first round because of a goal from Rafa Mir, for the second half they really played without a burden and they managed to record 3 goals.

This match was not important for Celtic and therefore any Real Madrid squad would look good with such an opponent. Ancelotti is a very good coach and now he also needs to think about preparing young players for the next seasons, but a good test for them will be in matches with motivated opponents, and matches like yesterday just boost their confidence a little.
Of course it's not an important game for Celtic, even if they win it doesn't value them. This means that the points they get will not bring them to advance to the round of 16. But Carlo Ancelotti did not underestimate the opposing team, and Real Madrid continued to fight for the group title. Carlo Ancelotti also fielded all his might to face Celtic. Instead, it becomes an opportunity for players to motivate them and play with their more flexible style.

Unexpectedly Milan was able to win a ticket to the round of 16 and become runner-up, although they did not perform well in the preliminary round, losing twice, drawing once and winning three times.

As a Milan fan, I am happy with Milan's achievements in the UCL this time. But I still have doubts about AC Milan's chances of reaching the semifinals. Milan players are still not completely good, this is a serious threat. Because, when AC Milan plays against Torino, they can lose, of course the teams that AC Milan will face can be much stronger and better when playing in the UCL. This is what Pioli should pay attention to. Milan need better preparation to be able to win game after game to be able to reach at least the semifinals.
I'm not too surprised by AC Milan being one of the teams that made it to the last 16 of the Champions League. Because in the last decisive match they only needed a draw to qualify, but they gave their best by winning the match. And their opponent is RB Salzburg who can only win against the weakest club in this group. But what surprises me is not AC Milan qualify or not, what surprises me is that they didn't try to get a draw, but they dared to go out and attack and it was more effective as evidenced by 4 goals against RB. Slazburg.

Even though Liverpool are in a bad situation, they were able to qualify from the group stage even though they were only runners-up, because if you look at the other Premier League representative clubs, they are the group winners (Tottenham, Chelsea and Manchester City). There is no problem with that because they are still both qualified, compared to the Spanish League which can only send one representative, namely Real Madrid, because other clubs cannot give their best in the Champions League this season.
