AC Milan won with a big score last night they were able to make the whole stadium happy with the goals they scored. I praise Olivier Giroud performance last night by successfully becoming man of the match in that match, Giroud was able to score an early goal which made the atmosphere of the match better controlled by AC Milan. By successfully contributing 2 goals and 2 assists, Olivier Giroud seemed to have rediscovered his sharpness because before he seemed to have difficulty scoring goals in the domestic league. With this result AC Milan was able to secure 1 ticket for the round of 16 along with Chelsea who were able to win the group.
AC Milan have not lived up to expectation this season both in the Italian League and the Champions. They face a very difficult task to become the league champions because they are six point behind inform Napoli. But the club is now improving in its performance recently. They were exceptionally good during the match against RB Salzburg and they made the fans at Stadio San Siro to experience a goal feast. It is a good thing they qualified to the next round because it would have been highly disappointing if they had been knocked out like Barcelona.

Olivier Giroud didn't have a splendid time with his former club Chelsea, but we are seeing a more coordinated and well positioning striker currently. This could be a proof that sometimes players just need to move to a new club to rediscover their potentials.

I just don't think the teams that have already qualified for the last 16 are still motivated to win big, like Manchester City, Real Madrid and a few others. A little sorry for not choosing all the favorite teams to be included in the multi bet that I made, I only included a few of them but especially for PSG and Benfica I personally am very sure they will still win 100%.

It might be a bit surprising what happened in group H because Benfica who won big beat Maccabi Haifa with a score of 6-1, then it made Benfica take over the top position and can end the group phase by becoming group winners.
Obviously it was a surprise, because PSG is a team that was predicted to stay at the top until the group stage ended but in fact, who would have thought that Benfica would be able to become a team that managed to get above Juventus and PSG. Great!

But my prediction about Dortmund is correct and of course I don't include it in multi bets, because Dortmund often get imperfect results. But even so Dortmund still qualified for the round of 16 but still, I personally don't believe Dortmund will continue to go further because they are not a candidate team in winning the Champions League title.

Yes, with this victory they can ensure that they can compete in the last 16 of the Champions League. You're right Olivier Giroud played really well and managed to get his name on the scoreboard in the first 15 minutes of the game. Then in the second half he again managed to score again while increasing AC Milan's advantage to 3 goals. RB Salzburg who tried hard to be able to score goals did not produce results until the last minute of the match, and they could only get a place in the Europa League.

Chelsea vs Dinamo Zagreb In the full time game between these two teams, Chelsea scored 2 goals and Dinamo Zagreb scored 1 goal. We saw Dinamo Zagreb score a goal in the first 7 minutes. And shortly after that Chelsea scored in the 18th minute to equalize and again.  Chelsea went ahead with another goal at 30 minutes of the game. And after that there were no more goals in this match. However, Dinamo Zagreb tried hard to score another goal to draw the match but they didn't get that chance.
This match is not so important caused by chelsea already qualified to go tot he last 16. Dinamo has no chance to go to the next stage as well and so dinamo was playing to make their fans feel fun with it but that's sad dinamo must also be beaten by chelsea again.
That proves if chelsea is far better above dinamo. The ball possession is on chelsea but dinamo is still able to maximize the chance to make 1 goal against chelsea which was good for dinamo.

I join to congratulating to Milan and Giroud. Milan seems to be out of the group for the first time since the 2013/2014 season. Milan, I think, will decorate the group round with their game, the team plays very interesting and open football.
Olivier Giroud seemed to have a second youth. 2 goals and 2 assists is a great result. It seemed that after so many transitions, Giroud would quietly get lost somewhere and disappear in the 2th squad, but no, he was still able to find his game.

Is Juventus playing very well or PSG not playing as usual this is one of the big questions for me Cheesy
Juventus defended very well. Their biggest mistake was Gatti failing to foul Mbappe in time just before the 0:1 goal. It make no sense pulling his shirt like that without throwing everything you have at stopping him. You are going to get booked anyway, might as well do a good job with it. But Gatti let him go, Mbappe scored, and Federico still got a yellow card. The worst case scenario basically.

But what I highlight in this match is Chiesa's debut after a long wait for him to finally return to play and I'm happy with that.
He was sidelined for over 9 months with a serious ligament injury. He looked very lively when he came on, and hopefully his pace and determination will signal better days to come for Juventus.

the game is going to be interesting. The two teams play against each other. no team is really under pressure. Both teams had good possession of the ball. even have almost the same number of shots. Milan looks to have a sharper attack line. that's what makes them win with a convincing score. Milan's performance in the Champions League is quite good, making 12 goals in 6 matches. This can also be seen in Milan's performance in Serie A which is getting better.
Milan and Chelsea will be representatives of group E who qualify for the last 16. while Salzburg must enter the Europa League qualifying round.

In my opinion , is far better for PSG to be on 2nd place in their group but apparently Mbappe was very mad on this and kinda went vocal in the dressing room.

Juventus , what can we say about them at this point ? they really need a ground zero rebuild ,as no matter what coach they will bring or what new transfers will make ...they will only lose money at this point without getting results in return.

AC.Milan finally had that burst in UCL and manage to score 4 goals. I was expecting this for quite a while now but I'm glad the red devils of Italy are back in business and qualified for next round. Cool

I watched the Juventus - PSG match last night. Despite the result, Juve played a good game.

Messi was mostly invisible throughout the match. He was involved in the build-up to the 1st PSG goal, but that was more of a solo effort by Mbappe than anything else. It's unnecessary to comment on Mbappe's performance. The lad is simply unstoppable even for better teams.
Juve created many scoring opportunities. They played bravely, combined well, and had a nice rhythm. They kept attacking and wanted to win the match in the 2nd half. The 1:2 goal is unfortunate and was scored by a fresh player who just came on as a substitute. Cuadrado was tired and should have been substituted if it wasn't for the huge Juventus injury crisis. He wasn't able to cope with Mendes as he attacked the left wing and simply ran passed him.

All in all, had Juve played like that (performance-wise) the whole season, they would have been a contender to reach the knockout stages. Instead, their approach was mostly disgraceful and undeserving of the shirt they wear. The young Italians from yesterday deserve more playing time instead of the foreign mercenaries Juventus usually fields when they are healthy. Those lads couldn't give a fuck what happens to the club or what the result is.
In all, Juventus has not been impressive in the champions league and in there league (Seria A). Imagine playing a total of six games in there group (H), they just managed to win 1 and lost 5 same thing with Macabbi Tel Aviv, if not for the goal difference they won't have made it to the Europa league.
And from the look of things they may not survive there either if they continue with this weak form.

Yes, it's too early to say who will come out as champions this season. We can learn from last season where many said that Real Madrid would soon be eliminated when they faced a team that was the favorite to win the title, including Manchester City. there I saw that the team that had a lot of favorites did not necessarily win, this is football where what is considered impossible can happen here. We just finished the group stage and there are still teams that haven't finished it yet. It will not be easy to predict in this Champions League, we have to consider several aspects including luck.

Yes I am one who believes in luck great teams can be beaten by luck and this has happened many times even in the top competition
Have you checked today's score? 2 teams have played and each team is ahead by 4 goals  Madrid 4- 0 Celtic and Shakhtar 0-4 Leipzig
I am waiting for Shakhtar to score at least 1 goal because I bet on both teams to score.
It's all over now and there are some clubs that I think can be dark horses like Benfica who won the club here and of course this is a good result because they beat PSG in the group stage and PSG have to settle for second place despite their points the same and the number of goals is also the same but PSG must lose to the number of away goals scored where Benfica managed to score six goals against Maccabi Haifa, one goal at PSG and two goals at Juventus while PSG only scored three goals at Maccabi Haifa, one goal at Benfica , and two goals at Juventus

Contrasting differences exist in the current La Liga representatives. They really lost after previously always being able to place 2 or 3 representatives of theirs in the last 16 but now only Madrid are left.
The progress is now happening for the Bundesliga and Serie A because judging from the existing list they only lost one club in the group phase this time.

Benfica's appearance this season was completely unexpected because previously this Portuguese representative was not counted at all to qualify from the group stage because they are in the same group with PSG and Juventus.

Interestingly, Benfica were able to qualify as group winners and beat PSG as runners-up despite getting the same points and goal difference. But UEFA put Benfica at the top because the rules used are the number of away goals.

Probably PSG themselves were surprised by the fact that they left the group from the second place, few people believed that Benfica could beat Maccabi away with a difference of 5 goals, but Benfica did it. Apparently it was very important for Benfica to be the first, because this could give them a chance to get a weaker opponent in the 1/8. Yesterday I watched the match Juventus - PSG, I can’t say that I really liked how PSG played...

I was surprised when I began to see the goals of Benfica increasing from 3 to 6 in the final group match. I was wondering why they needed to score big goals since they will qualify as second position. I was wondering before I knew they are ahead of PSG. They are in same points but they are ahead because of h2h with Psg

Benfica immediately step on the gas in the final match of the group stage, the struggle of the Benfica players managed to deliver them as group winners. A landslide victory 6-1 over Maccabi Haifa made Benfica qualify for the round of 16 with the status of Group winners, Benfica winning the number of away goals from PSG 9 compared to 6.
PSG had to settle for second place after winning 1-2 at the Allianz Stadium. While Juventus had to go down to the Europa League because they were only able to finish in third place.

I'm sure most of us are surprised by Benfica's current achievement of qualifying for the round of 16 plus being the group leader.  they really played with hard work, teamwork and finally able to get out of the pessimism that was originally predicted not to qualify for the next round in the UCL. considering that in this group there are SPG and Juventus who are the top teams.

but uniquely, despite having the same points as PSG, goal difference, and an identical record of two meetings, the status of group winners is entitled to be carried by Benfica because they have a better away goal scoring record which is used as the next criterion in determining position in the UCL group stage standings. in this case, Benfica scored nine goals away, while PSG only scored six goals at home. Bencifa is completely beyond my attention in the champions league, but they are able to become and prove worthy to compete in the round of 16 later.

It doesn't matter who PSG meets in the knockout stage. They’re a good team and they’re ready to beat any team this time around to get to the finals. Messi, Neymar and Mbappe are on fire. But in the vein, I think they will get protected by UEFA this Year, because they PSG round of 16 opponent will be one of Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Manchester City, Napoli, Chelsea, Tottenham and Porto. So I'm thinking Porto should get ready to face PSG.

It does a matter as they will face one of the group winners. There are some great teams that may stop PSG in the round of 16 such as Manchester City, Real Madrid, Napoli and Bayern. I'm not sure what do you mean by "protected by UEFA", do you mean that there is a possibility of manipulated draw that make PSG face easier team?

I really appreciated Benfica's determination to take the lead from PSG.

They needed to get a huge win over Maccabi Haifa to do this in case PSG and them both get wins. Benfica really did it by a huge 6-1 win. Maccabi Haifa seemed to be challenging first but they couldn't prevent a disaster for them. Juventus were really lucky to keep the third position in the group. Because they could have really finished it at the last position after losing to PSG by 2-1. PSG just met the expectations and defeated them. Normally Juventus wouldn't lose this game but they are far away from their old performance.

Yes, unexpectedly that Benfica is group winner they have the same points and record as PSG 4 Win 2 Draw 0 Lose
The Portuguese League has 2 teams that are group winners Porto and Benfica really great achievement
What do you think about the chances of these two teams in the champions league?

I don't think it's surprising that Benfica won the group. Benfica is a big team in Europe, it's just that they're not famous enough, so people think they're a small team.
Benfica Last season in the same group as Barcelona and Bayer Munich, they could qualify for the last 16. This season in the same group with PSG and Juventus, they can qualify again
Last season until the quarter-finals, if Benfica can be consistent, this season it could reach the semi-finals or [even] the final.

Surprised by the EPL teams this season where they all qualified for the next phase and 3 of them were group winners and Liverpool entered the runner up pot.
This is in contrast to La Liga now because this is indeed a decline for them considering that now of the 4 La Liga clubs only Madrid are able to advance, the rest are Barcelona, Sevilla must move to the Europa League and Atletico are the clowns in the last position in the group phase.
The German representatives are also quite good because they are the only Leverkusen who cannot follow their country's clubs to qualify for the last 16.
