Guardiola should already be ready for coming across a defensive-oriented game against themselves from Inter. Because there is no point in Inter's playing with overconfidence against Manchester City. They would just give exactly what their opponent wants. Inter will need to focus on wearing out Manchester City attackers by defending them tightly.
You've got a point there. Inter don't look like Manchester City's equal but, they would put up a fight somehow and that is by playing a defensive game, try to draw Manchester City out and then go on the counter attack. Better still, hold the game to a draw till the final whistle goes and then take there chances with a penalty shootout but the question is... Can Inter Milan really withstand the pressure of Manchester City? These guys keeps coming at you and coming at you. They even get worst after managing to get a first goal.
It would take all of Inter Milans UCL experience to win this one if they could as, Pep is desperate and this is Manchester City's golden opportunity.
Even though Inter Milan seems to be quite famous for their defensive strategy which is quite strong. and Inter also have quick and sharp counter-attacks. But I doubt Inter Milan's defense can hold back the Manchester City trio who are hungry for goals in every game they play. they are Haaland, B. Silva and De Bruyne. these three Man City players really can always create gaps in the defense of every opponent they face. So it will definitely be very difficult for Inter Milan to be able to hold these players.
Simone Inzaghi should have learned from the Manchaster City vs Real Madrid match yesterday, they shouldn't focus too much on blocking Haaland's movements but they didn't let them, Real Madrid's mistake yesterday was too focused on keeping Haaland's movements and the others had freedom.
Even as we have seen Real Madrid also have to admit that Manchester City this season has a level above them. And I honestly feel that Inter Milan does have a lower level of play than Manchester City this season. But in terms of history and experience in the UCL, of course Inter Milan has more experience as a team that has lifted trophies in the UCL several times.
It doesn't have any effect at the moment, we see that Real Madrid, which is a regular champion in a prestigious league like the UCL, was unable to hold off Manchester City today, even impressed by being humiliated in the second leg of their match,
I also have a hunch that Inter Milan in terms of performance this season is below Manchester City.
Maybe Inter Milan will indeed make a defensive strategy and counterattack when there are gaps. But because this is the final. so I think Manchester City will be much more careful in the final match later. So it is possible that the aggressiveness of Manchester City's attack in the final could decrease slightly. Because of course they have to make sharp attacks and at the same time make a strong defense without gaps so that no counterattack can break through their defense.
the point is this fight might be more fierce than we expected.
Maybe the scenario is like that, Simone Inzaghi really has to be thorough and look for weaknesses in the Manchaster City squad so they don't focus too much on defending and only rely on counterattacks when the City's game is cut short. I also think this will be a difficult match for Inter Milan, and for some reason most people look down on Inter Milan including me, maybe too amazed by the achievements that Manchester City has at the end of this season.
But yes this is a final and as usual we cannot predict easily was the whistle is blown, anything can happen on the field.
