Barcelona - Royal Antwerp 5-0

This was an easy win for Lewandowski et al. Barcelona did not have serious problems in winning this match, I mean their performance really supported the victory because the quality of the two teams was not equal. Antwerp certainly has to realize that they will lose, but against Barcelona is something to be proud of even if the result is nil.

Today PSG, Barcelona, Manchester City, Feyenoord, Leipzig and Porto won their respective matches. Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid and Lazio as well as Milan and Newcastle both have to settle for sharing the points and this is really a difficult match for them. Atletico Madrid failed to maintain their victory over Lazio during injury time, which is clearly something that is very disappointing.

I was watching the game between AC Milan and Newcastle United, and it was a fairly normal match. AC Milan came close to winning especially in the second half. The Newcastle team was playing a highly defensive strategy and seemed determined to secure a draw. It was unfortunate that Leao missed that opportunity to score a goal but that's all right.
I'll be tuning in to watch FC Barcelona in a bit.
Newcastle got a draw in their first match in their return to UCL I think it's not a bad performance after defending almost throughout the duration of the match and got their only shot on target during stoppage time while AC Milan were very unlucky to score a goal after missing some goal scoring chances indeed poor finishing  by their final third especially Leao was their missing link  I hope those misses would not later cost them chances of group qualification, meanwhile Newcastle needed to win their home matches to stand a chance of qualifying for the next round, meanwhile Barcelona is presently leading Royal Antwerp 3-0 while Man City is losing 0-1 against  Red Star half time.
AC Milan were really unlucky in this first leg against Newcastle United, because Stefano Pioli men appeared quite impressive in front of their supporters by recording 25 shots but not a single shot they took managed to become a goal. So many people say that AC Milan has a lot of golden opportunities in this match and that is quite true because both Giroud and Leao did not succeed in maximizing their chances of scoring goals.

On the Newcastle United side, of course they can be lucky because they have a goalkeeper who performs at his best because otherwise Newcastle United could have conceded a lot of goals in this match. The final result was that both teams collected 1 point in this first leg.

I recently finished watching the Lazio vs Atletico Madrid match, which ended 1-1 with goals from Barrios in the 29th minute and Provedel in the 94th minute. Lazio played well and attacked more consistently but their attackers were unable to materialize the scoring opportunities they received, their goalkeeper Provedel settled the score at 1-1. Atletico Madrid as usual performs with a non-play, scores and closes in defense but this time their strategy proved to be unsuitable. now Lazio and ATL Madrid will have to chase Feyenoord who in the meantime beat Celtic 2-0

Even though Manchester City fell behind, they managed to win without difficulty. Red Star resisted well in the first half and scored in the final moments, but they conceded an early goal in the second half and then unraveled. In fact, it was obvious that they wouldn't last long. Manchester City had 37 shots in the match. No team can withstand such pressure. Julian Alvarez's second goal was a bit of luck, the goalkeeper made a mistake and the ball went into the goal. But Rodri's goal was simply exquisite. Reigning champion Manchester City made a good opening. They are the biggest favorites this time too.

Of course Manchester City will get an easy win tonight against a team from the Serbian Super League, FK Crvena Zvezda who I have never watched how they play. Manchester City must not underestimate their opponent if they do not want to experience undesirable results.

Everyone has been praising Manchester City for their upcoming victory over Crvena Zvezda, but I didn't even think the opponent would scored first. However, after seeing Julian Alvarez and Rodri score to bring the score to 3-1, I can now see that they will make it up and prove to the opposition just how much progress they have made. Although the first half is really difficult for them, they are going to win against them.

   Barcelona vs  Antwerp

I can see how Barcelona is digracing their opponent in Camp Nou, as they have scored three goals and their visitors are finding it difficult to stop them from scoring more goals. Jao Felix scored the first goal on the 11th minutes with a good finish after he received a pass from Gudogan, followed by Lewandoski on the 19th minutes before Bataille deflection lead to an own goal.

Antwerp wouldn't be able to equalise these goals as Barcelona is dominating the game as usual and winning all possession. I think this is a good start for Barcelona in the champions league. Although their opponent is a weak team for them to have difficulties to win, so I am not surprised. It is still 3-0 in favor of Barcelona.

Joao Felix joining Barcelona will be great for the team, the club will not have any regrets for having him, as he is enjoying playing football there. He scored the first goal, which was assisted by Gundogan, but seeing Porto put on strong performances in their opening match, I believe that they are not as weak as I initially thought they would be. I believe that Barcelona and Porto are the two clubs to qualify from that group stage.

Manchester City just spoilt my fun tonight,as they lose first half of the game,I thought they were going to win the visitors from first half of the game, but came from behind in the second half of the game to later win the match by 3-1 after they have already cut my ticket.I knew they were definitely going to win,but I thought they were just going to start the winning from the first half of the game and concede zero goal, but rather they gave them a goal.Bernardo Silver was not in the match at all as he couldn't even pass his opponent in the wing he was playing which made Pep substitute him in the first half of the game, bringing in their new signing,Jeremy Doku who looked very sharp as he was introduced. He did exactly what Pep asked him to do,and that tactical change which pep made was what got them the three points.

They were lucky the strategy worked out for them, it was not a bad performance and it’s a good way to start the competition even though it’s not a perfect start. I expected a good performance from AC Milan even though people were complaining of their poor performance lately I knew they wouldn’t let their fans down at home. They should have tried to win this leg because it be a total different game when they travel to England because Newcastle would be prepared for them and they would give it their all. There is still hope for Newcastle to qualify of they can beat Dortmund and pray Milan drop points to Dortmund.

It’s a great night for Barcelona and their fans, Antwarp was an easy win and I don’t think there is anyone in that group that can stop barca right now. They have been excellent since the arrival of the two Joao’s, Felix and Cancelo have boosted the strength of the team and since their arrival they have been scoring numbers and Felix has been contributing well so far and scoring back to back goals. It’s as if he has been in the club for long and within a short time he seem to have settled and adapted to the teams style of play.

It would be unfortunate if Felix leaves by the end of the season because Barca don’t seem like they can afford to pay Felix release clause to make his deal permanent but let’s wait and see what happens.

That was to be expected and Manchester City would have even further raised the pressure if the first half wasn't enough to get through the defense of Red Star Belgrade. But when a team decides to park the bus and then also scores a lucky goal, the time starts running out of a sudden and then one chance is missed, and the next chance is missed... That is how it can go.

But they had a full halftime to go and I doubt that Pep Guariola was anywhere near nervous. I think he has a high pulse beat naturally Cheesy but it is probably pretty stable because he knows he can rely on his team. I am surprised that Haaland didn't score any goals because against weaker teams it's usually his time to go for three goals or more than that.
The pressure remains on Manchester City as long as they are not ahead of their opponents. Pep Guardiola is a genius coach who in many cases is able to make his team perform better to get out of pressure. He is very experienced in dealing with pressure, so I don't think he was very nervous when he was 1 goal behind.

The stage begins in the second half for Manchester City. Alvarez scored two goals, one of which was an assist from Haaland. The free kick goal was also good, but it's true that Haaland really struggled to score in this match. He failed and failed because of the performance of Omri Glazer who always managed to save the goal. But that's not a problem because the team's victory is the main priority.

Yes but Manchester City corrected the result already. But I wasn't sure whether Manchester City would play with all of their best players or give a break to some of them and you can see that for the opening game a manager is well advised to not try out some experiments and stick to the best team he has available because a stupid and lucky goal against them can get them into trouble later in the group. But nothing to worry about now and they have the game under control.
Pep Guardiola finally succeeded in motivating his team in the second half to appear more effective when building attacks. Alvarez scored two goals, while Rodri scored the third goal in this match. Now Manchester City has managed to control the game well, but Pep Guardiola does not want to take big risks by continuing to play many of his main players when they appear dominant over their opponents.

Now Manchester City are 3-1 up and I believe they can still score the 4th goal instead of conceding. Haaland has so far failed to score his first Champions League goal, but he really had a lot of chances in this match.

Barcelona seem to be having it very easy with this game a as they were able to secure a win of three goals ahead in the first half of the game, it's obviously going to be a very easy Start for them, it can be considered a win brought to them on a platter of gold, it's a good head up for Barcelona as they will safely secure three points to night to keep them a step ahead in their forth coming games.

It's not surprising Antwerp is performing poorly as Barcelona is no match for them I will advise they use this medium to gather more experience for future games ahead, the Spanish side is leaving no stone unturned tonight to get a flawless victory because it's champion's league and every game count's to determine if you still stay or crash out of the league.

I must say Barcelona is performing as expected of them but when they eventually meet with a tougher team who has champions league experience, it's sure not going to be this was as they will have to do see more work at that time if they must win. Antwerp will be lucky if they are able to qualify for the round of 16 of course am not expecting them to get there with results but then I wish them the very best of luck.

It's half-time and I see 3 nil on the scoresheet, there's alot to take in from the visitors who have absolutely no plan to bounce back rather they will defend their territory inother to prevent Barcelona from invading and scoring more goals. Joao Felix and Robert Lewandowski goals puts them infront, we should expect more goals in the second half. Barcelona having nice moment thrashing the visitors at Camp Nou. The game was even easier than we expected it to be, Xavi Hernandez having good mappings. It's crystal clear, Royal Antwerp are no match for the blaugrana.
Now it is 5-0 and Joao Felix scores his second goal, it didnt work so well at FC Chelsea when he played there. He was substituted now and for him comes Lamine Yamal, he is 16 years old and makes today his first game in the Champions League. Barcelona makes a game like in times Messi: 5 goals the more.

I look now something Paris St. Germain, there I think soon comes the 3:0.

Unexpectedly, Red Star player Osman Bukari gave the defending Champions League champions a surprise at the end of the first half in the 45th minute.
Manchester City dominated the game throughout the first half by releasing 22 shots and 7 shots on goal but were unable to score. However, I am sure that in the second half Manchester City will definitely make changes and score a goal because in the first half they had many chances and Red Star only had one shot.
True, Manchester City were only slightly troubled in the first half and their attackers were simply unlucky. Haaland, Foden, Alvarez and several others had chances, but all their efforts failed because Omri Glazer performed well as a goalkeeper. I'm sure Pep Guardiola and his team would have won this home game if they had been a little calmer, but let's see what happens in the second half.

In another match, two La Liga representatives Barcelona and Atletico Madrid were both ahead in the first half over their opponents. Barcelona closed the first half with a 3-0 win, while Atletico Madrid 0-1. Antwerp cannot be expected to cancel out Barcelona's win, but Lazio might be able to equalize in the second half as they also played well.

In the game Lazio - Atletico Madrid I thought that Lazio might give Atletico a hard time, but Atletico is playing a very typical game with the one goal advantage they have. Every time when Atletico scores the first goal in important games, it is obvious what will happen next in the game. It is not a fight against the opponent on the pitch anymore, but against the clock. Manchester city is a having crvena zvezda goal keeper to contend with but then, he has made blunder for not holding that ball but instead trying to punch ✊ it.  City is kinda of fully incharge of the game now from the midfield going forward to crvena zvezda goal 🥅 post.
Miroc ivanic Should have convert that chance.
Other city players should do well to try the ball more to post than always wanting to look for Harland

AC Milan 0:0 Newcastle United

A disappointing result from the AC Milan team who failed to make use of their opportunities to score against the Newcastle team that was seen as the underdog in this very game. AC Milan wasted all the 8 goal attempt they had they couldn't convert a single one to take all 3 points from the visiting team who didn't do much but to defend till the end of the game.

I think the hero of this game tonight should be the Newcastle goal keeper Nick Pope he deserves to be the man of the match.

I don't think AC Milan will perform well in the Champions League this season like they did in the Lady Season because of how they are currently playing. For example, imagine if AC Milan lost to certain teams in serie A and now they ended up drawing with Newcastle in the Champions League. Although I am aware that Newcastle is also a powerful club with excellent players, I believe that Ac Milan is a better team overall. We all know that Ac Milan is one of the top teams that often capture league titles in the serie A league, but these days I find it difficult to comprehend them.

Ac Milan needs to change this performance because if they keep playing like this, they will have a poor performance this season and many of the team fans will not be happy with it because if a team did not perform well even the fans will not be happy with it. I am aware that the team sold out some of the players but the team also bought some players to replace the one that went. I think that will not bring any affect or any problem to the team.

M.City will have the easiest win tonight.
Of course Manchester City will get an easy win tonight against a team from the Serbian Super League, FK Crvena Zvezda who I have never watched how they play. Manchester City must not underestimate their opponent if they do not want to experience undesirable results.

The most enjoyable game could be PSG-Dortmund. I will watch this game and Milan-Newcastle tonight.
This is a tight match. Many people are pessimistic about Newcastle's success in the UCL, including me. Newcastle will show their supporters that they should not be considered easy to beat among the other teams in this group.
Maybe with many people thinking that Newcastle will not be able to get through this extra tight group, this will be an encouragement for them to do their best which can break all the analysis about them.

I think Barcelona and Porto will get 3 points tonight.
I don't think Barcelona will win easily by getting 3 points tonight against Porto. Porto is not a weak team that can easily be beaten in the UCL.

Manchester city is having a hard time in converting their chances,  the crvena zvezda goal keeper is a hell of keeper, the save's he has had is   really giving an extra energy to his players.
Manchester city is playing them half field, crvena zvezda might end up having a goal down before the the end of this first half.
Yes,the crevena keeper has been excellent but they should not be carried away, because man city is a very good team that has a winning mentality and would be hunger for goal in the second half.the man city have good players  that can turn things around in a minute. Just in the 46 minutes into the second half man city has made an equalizer now 1:1  and it's just a begining of more goals for the City.

Champions League football is always different from other competitions, all teams are important because they pass through so many stages before qualifying for the competition, as a result of that, no team should be underrated just as we have seen Manchester City losing at first half even as they dominated the game.

I predicted both teams to score before the start of the match which I considers very risky, but now I am satisfied as Julian Alvarez has leveled the score for Manchester City. Manchester City might end up winning the match because they look very serious and are stronger than the Red Stars.

Surprising that Milan doesn't convert any of the numerous chances they had throughout the game. They had over 2 xG and 1.44 xA yet, the finishing was lacking. It was their game to win. Newcastle didn't look threatening at all.
Man City vs Crvena Zvezda: The visitors from Serbia are leading 0-1!! What a turn of events. Again, domination like Milan from Man City but just cannot finish. Are we looking at a potential upset in the Champions League?
