Barcelona have not started well in La Liga so far this season and drew their first game against an easy opponent. Now they are playing away against Villarreal and are losing so far, but the match is not over yet. I think it would be better for them to get into the Europa League like they did last year to try to get to the final. In the Champions League it will be very difficult for them.
In the end, Barcelona was able to narrowly win after Robert Lewandowski scored a goal in the 71st minute for Barcelona so that the home team had to be willing to lose to Barcelona because they were unable to equalize in the remaining time or after Robert Lewandowski scored the last goal for Barcelona in the match. I think Barcelona is still good enough to compete in La Liga this season even though they had a draw in the opening game this season, but for the Champions League I still doubt Barcelona can do better because there are many teams who will show their true strength here.
The struggle that the Barcelona players did in winning over Villarreal in the continuation of the La Liga competition in Week 3 should be appreciated, they were able to show their quality as one of the teams to be reckoned with in the UCL. It must be admitted that Barcelona appearance in three official La Liga matches was not too impressive, they conceded three goals in the last match played even though they managed to win dramatically.
There is still something that needs to be improved in Barcelona appearance, their defense is still very fragile, the balance of the midfield is also not well coordinated. Lewandowski has just opened his goal coffers this season, the sharpness of the front line also needs to be improved to make it easier for them to break into the opponent's goal.

Xavi have little experience in europe competition? come on man, that have to be a joke, i know he as a manager its one thing, but he play 20 years this competitions and he knows very well all from the inside of the beast, so, no excuses.
Experience as a player will be different when as a coach, as a player he will receive instructions from the coach when the coach sees that there are weaknesses in opponents that can be maximized, while as a coach he must see these weaknesses and give instructions, and it was proven when last season they played in competitions that lower than Champions League, namely the European league, Barcelona failed to achieve anything good, even though they were quite the favorites to be able to get achievements, so the experience as a player and coach is quite different, and you can see some good players when they are players but not when they are coaches, maybe Xavi Hernandez isn't who is included in the list because he succeeded in giving the Laliga title in his first season as a coach at Barcelona but the champions league will be quite different in competition, and if anyone doubts Xavi as a coach when in European competition it can be understood because he has to prove himself only then will he enter in the list of good coaches in this competition.

I have no doubt that Xavi is an excellent coach.  But he is inexperienced. We saw Barcelona's performance in the champions league last season. Even in the europa league , Barcelona's performance was very poor . Their squad was strong, yet the team could not play well in the europa league or champions league. Barcelona  performance in La liga this season has been quite stable. However  it cannot be said for sure whether barcelona will be able to do well in the champions league. Barcelona will definitely need a strong defense to do well in the champions league . Because barcelona's defense was weak in champions league or europa league last season. barcelona's midfield and attack have been strong this season. Now if xavi can strengthen barcelona's defense, I think they will be able to perform stably in the champions league as well...
Xavi is new in coaching specially in Champions League but right now things are completely different because he is doing good job and now understand many things which are going to help them for having better results in Champions League even right now they are not well-prepared for the title but still I have feeling they could be in top four for the title race because they can bring better results like we have against Villarreal now mostly will go as this was domestic league match, but now their mentality is changed, and they are enough strong to do better things for better results.

Now in coming days as they will be play more matches they will get good experience and also better depth which will help their players, and they will be able to have strong case for going higher in Champions League now we have few days left in start of this event many things will be happened on ground so just wait and watch how Xavi and his players will give their all replies for the next title race.

Xavi was able to finish the season well in La Liga, but he failed to do so in the Champions League. Perhaps he has little experience in such competitions so far and it is easier for him to focus on one thing at a time. I think that in the current Champions League season Barcelona will not achieve great results again, because the competition is very big.

Xavi played in the Champions League last season and was later demoted to the Europa League and still got evicted in the end. He has experience both league while also focusing on his main goal last season which is the La Liga title which he won. After his qualification to the Champions League competition this season, he must have been preparing well to excel in both leagues. I’m expecting to see a big change in their game of play in both competition and won’t lose focus in any of them. Manchester City did it and won a treble last season, with a good coach this is achievable for Barcelona.

You can never say Xavi's experience in the previous Champions League as a player could ever help this player to have a better performance as a coach while coaching Barcelona.
If I'm not wrong, he never coached any teams in the Champions Leagues before and Xavi is a completely inexperienced coach in this tournament. Since he had no experience as a coach but got good results in La Lga with Barcelona we can expect to see the same thing from him in the Champions League.
I have a slightly different opinion from you. even though Xavi has only won titles in the champions league in the past when he was still a player but that does not mean he can not be a coach who can lead his team to win the UCL title. I mean Xavi has had experience at UCL as a player and of course he knows how the team plays at UCL so that the opportunity to become a coach who is successful in bringing his team to win the Champions League title can happen and break a new record when he succeeds as a coach for a team that can lift the champions league cup.
but unfortunately all of this is in the Barcelona players who currently do not have reliable players or players who have reliable talent to be able to compete with other teams in UCL.

For the team that managed to collect the most Champions League trophies, maybe Real Madrid is on top but in the last few seasons Real Madrid can't be expected to win the Champions League.
This season, seeing Real Madrid's progress improve, there is hope of being able to fight for the trophy again, even though Real Madrid will have to compete with teams from leagues like Mancester City.
Pep Guardiola is very excited or very sure that the team he coaches can win the Champions League again and this will make it difficult for Real Madrid when they will compete for the Champions League.
If you say Real madrid had a better performance it seems a little wrong and if you see after losing Benzema Madrid was not able to perform optimally to give a better performance than last season and I doubt if you really really favor Manchstr city even if only because of haaland but does not mean to have a guarantee to be able to get back to the champion league title.
This season many club have seen their performance decline in their domestic league competition, they look a little bad, but if for the champions league there is no certainty how this top flight club can perform even better.
But I just hope that every season there are always new clubs that can get champions league trophy like Arsenal.
Benzema was a sharp striker for Real Madrid last season and the departure of Benzema gave a slight decrease in the game from Real Madrid but when you watch Real Madrid in the Domestic League they play quite well and even tend to be better than Barcelona.
Now Ancelotti is always trying to make the team less dependent on one player like last season when Benzema was there.
Manchester City has a goal machine, namely Haaland and he can make Manchester City have a different chance of winning, plus there are other players up front like Julian Alvarez and assisted by quite reliable midfielders Kevin De Bruyne and Jeremy
doku.
With them on the front lines, Manchester City has very good strength in every attack on the opponent's goal.
Undoubtedly, a player like Karim Benzema left Real Madrid and Real Madrid could not recruit another star in that position which can be considered as a weak point for Real Madrid. After Karim Benzema left Real Madrid, Real Madrid lost their first two friendlies and everyone feared that a bad season might be in store for Real Madrid, but as the season started, Real Madrid returned to their former form. Real Madrid have played three matches so far in La Liga where Real Madrid have won the first three matches. Real Madrid will do well without Karim Benzema in the Champions League if they can maintain their current performance in La Liga.

As a player and yes he had many exp in european competition like UCL but as a coach and it's a big no as he was always failed in bringing the club into the play off stage. He was always losing against the italian team.
That's why his capability as a coach in bringing barcelona into the play off stage of UCL is still being questioned by many people. Xavi had been building a great club now.
The comeback against villareal was just proving that how good xavi is right now. I think that he needs more time to build a capable squad in competing at the UCL.
UCL groups will be mapped out sooner, I'm expecting a tough race from the blaugrana, but it's just a matter of time before things fall in place for Barcelona. Xavi Hernandez is an important individual for the blaugrana, he really needs to set the crucial things in place inother to make them competitive for significant titles. The only problem I'm certain that the bluagrana are craving to solve is their reluctance performance and giving more goal scoring chances for their opposition, but Villarreal messed things up and wanted to sealed the scoresheet to be draw tie, but the bluagrana always goes for the best results.

Of a truth Xavi is not really an experienced coach and had only had good experience in the Champions League as a player than coach, it was proven last season when they got demoted by Manchester united in the round of 16 to the Europa League but they still could perform well in the Europa League or even try to win it, atleast he managed to lead his team to winning the Laliga trophy and I think he should be given more time to build the Barcelona team, he's had an experience last season and could perform better in this seasons Champions tournament.

Though I can't vouch for them to win the Champions League under Barcelona but I expect them to perform better than last season and even go beyond the round of 16, my only fear is Lewandowski's form and if he continues miss chances it could affect their performance when the Champions League starts, however their rivals Realmadrid would have a better performance and probably reach the finals this season.
Of course, Xavi experience as a coach is still quite minimal, because he coached Barcelona for the second season after his first season successfully led Barcelona to become champions in Laliga. Yes, as a player, of course he had great experience in the past. But for coaches who have long experience in the Champions League, of course these figures are Pep Guardiola and Ancelotti because both of them already have long experience in this prestigious competition.

So for that, if Xavi can bring Barcelona to win the ucl, he will definitely make new history in his coaching career. But this season, of course, there are many big challenges that must be passed by Barcelona in the Champions League because other big teams certainly have the same goal to be able to win the UCL trophy.

It's one thing to have a UEFA Champions League experience as a player and also a total different thing to have it as manager but some persons are mistaking it when talking about Xavi Hernandez's champions league experience.
Barcelona is his first club that he competed in the competition with and that's why he shouldn't be blamed to an extent on the club's performance last season in the European Cup. He's been progressive with his Barcelona team and might win the Champions League in the nearest future if he's allowed to continue to develop this Barcelona young team

The current Barcelona squad won't win the Champions league unless a miracle happens, maybe it would take five miracles in one season. They don't have this continuous dominance yet. It could still be possible that they make it through the group stage and then also survive in the competition for one or two rounds, but if they were up against Manchester City or Real Madrid tomorrow, I think it would be pretty safe to say that that is where the journey would come to an end for them.

Xavi is new to European competition as a coach, but as a player we certainly don't doubt his quality. The proof that Xavi still has to improve his experience as a coach, is about his failure in the last two seasons in the Champions League and also in the Europa League. Therefore, it is not wrong if someone says Xavi still does not have enough experience to be able to make Barcelona great again in the Champions League and or in European competition. Therefore, I personally am still not sure about Barcelona this season in the Champions League. Because anyway, even though Barcelona has great players but still, it is also not a guarantee for Barcelona to be good in the Champions League.

Xavi is actually a rookie coach when compared to those from whom he should take the title. And the failure of Barcelona in the previous two seasons is a consequence of the weakness of the coach. By the way, today I looked at the composition of Barcelona in the game with Villarreal (those who were on the bench) just a few familiar names - who are all these people? You say that Barcelona have a good line-up, but it seems to me that they do not have enough depth of the line-up to carry out an adequate rotation.

At least if Barcelona's players don't experience some problems with injured players, they can become a team capable of overthrowing other competing teams that are even more solid and strong. however, Barcelona are not the favorites in this competition after all. there are some shortcomings that became my note, they still need a stronger bond between the players. especially, for newcomers like Oriol Romeu, IIkay Gundohan, to achieve even more solid chemistry. thus, the system that Xavi implements can be executed as he planned.

If we talk about Barcelona last season, they actually failed because there were a number of problems that happened to them. apart from injured players, Xavi has yet to find the right system for his team's squad. in the end, they failed and were unable to qualify for the next phase.
in this season, Barcelona is a little better than last season. unfortunately, Dembele chose to leave for PSG. but after all, Barcelona cannot be underestimated. well, to find out how they will carry out their matches, especially in this competition. there is no other way, other than we wait before the Champions League starts rolling. without exception, we can see how they perform in their domestic league.

Manchester City are still likely the best team in the champions league this season. They might possibly face other big opponents but their chances of winning it this season is also high. Seeing from how they’ve started off this season, with 3 matches and 3 wins, they could still be a worthy team for the champions league title. They have a complete squad and this same squad can do great thing in the champions league tournament too. So I have no reservations about them not winning it for the second time even though it won’t seem easy like last season.

The new system is up and coming, it is going to be quite different. If I am not wrong we are going to have a big league type of structure where teams will still play only 6 games and then the top 8 will go up, and the next 16 will be playing against each other and the 8 winners of that will play the first 8 and then the quarter finals and then... well that goes as usual. Is that true, did I get it right?

If that's the case it is going to be a bit weird to adjust to and it is going to be tough to understand how the system is working but at the end of the day we are going to all get used to it one day, maybe not the first year, but after 1 or 2 year is down, the rest will be a lot more understandable and teams will adjust accordingly.

The barcleona's squad was not depth enough last season. That's why xavi has been buying some talented players like guendogan from manchester city as he wants barcelona will be fully prepared to face UCL this season.
The competition becomes even stricter and manchester city as the winner of last season has been doing massive improvements. Even city has bought the three times UCL winner kovacic from chelsea as his replacement. Barcelona were unable to get a good result in europa league last season. It has been proving if barcelona needs to strengthen its squad. The defensive line must become the main concern by xavi. Lewandowski is good in helping barcelona
